    I have a spacer too. I have troubles taking my asthma inhaler correctly and it helps me a lot. It's nice to see someone else using one because I always feel uncomfortable when I have to take it out and use it in public. I love your channel so much and I love Harlow. Your channel has so much information I would never have known if I didn't run into it. I love it!

      Super Original My 2 adult kids(1 girl that's 19, 1 boy that's 24) and I all have asthma, and share a need for inhalers and spacers. We each carry our own zip lock baggie with our equipment in our back/hip packs. We decorate our spaces with stickers, and it breaks the ice with curious kids & folks. We get to educate that way. Well, I get to talk, both kids have Aspergers and seldom respond. But we got over the embarrassed part years ago. Wishing you Best of Luck and a Happy, HEALTHY year!

    you guys are amazing! I stumbled upon Harlow's instagram sometime last year and loved everything about it. Before I found her insta, I had no idea service dogs weren't just for people who are blind or in a wheel chair, let alone that you can train your own. I had been suffering from major anxiety and depression and talked to my doctor about getting a service dog, and they told me it was an excellent idea. We adopted a 4 month old Mini Aussie named Phoebe. She is now 9 months old and is almost half way done with her training! Thank you so much for being such an inspiration! You guys, and Phoebe changed my life!

    Thank you for making these videos they are very informative, fun, and validating for me. I am autistic and have several chronic illnesses, the worst of which has not been diagnosed (or maybe it's multiple more IDK!). People think I don't need to use a mobility device sometimes or take frequent rests because a lot of the times i seem 'normal' and not sick. I'm also in college so I am young and people don't think you can have illnesses when you are young

    • @chit-chat007
      @chit-chat007 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi sweetie! I am binge watching all her vids and also came across your comment & firstly, I would like to say sorry. It is sooo aggravating & hurtful when people don’t believe what we are saying what and how we’re feeling or when they say for example, oh you’re young, u just need to rest! Ughhhh! There are so many illnesses that one could have and no one could ever tell and that’s why they are called “INVISIBLE ILLNESSES” I have several & I go out, when I am able to, with my makeup on & hair done & people look at me sideways when I park at a handicap parking & I have had several arguments because of it because people are nosy & aggressively rude! Hun, you should see a Rheumatologist and that’s a doc whom specializes in arthritis’s because they’re many kinds, Fibromyalgia and all types of diseases/illnesses because many illnesses mimic others so if you have a disorder/disease, the Dr would have to narrow it down. Some people have CFS, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome & a lot of people don’t understand it nor get how bad it feels if one actually has it. This is one of the things when ignorant people say, aw, all ya need is rest! No! that’s not what fatigue means!!! Now, I am just giving you examples of ppl’s ignorance and also advising you to not give up bc if this kind of specialist can not determine anything with your symptoms, they may refer you to another specialist but you be your own warrior and keep going till you get to the bottom of things! I hope by this you’re feeling better & so sorry for this long novel! Lol but, I hope it’s helpful!!!! Please, update us or me;) xo Happy Holidays!

      Oh boy, that sounds like hell. :( Invisible illnesses need to be recognized more! I understand to some extent, I suffer from Chronic Depression, Generalized Anxiety, an undiagnosed ED, and an undiagnosed dissociation disorder. I'm currently waiting to see my doctor to bring up getting a Service Dog, as my mother recommended it. I can't go to stores alone, and I get random panic attacks that I don't pick up on. I brought this up to a friend, and they laughed in my face, saying something along the lines of 'Please! One, you're 13 - too young to truly know what mental/chronic illnesses are. You're just being over dramatic.' It sucks! I know people with CFS, or POTS, who have to take frequent breaks. In fact, I was at the mall with them, and their own brother muttered to me 'Honestly, she's just out of shape.'. The poor girl can't workout, and weighs 115 lb at 5'2"!
      Sorry for the mini-rant, but people need to be more aware of invisible illnesses, before things get worse.

    7:08 That reminds me of when my mom and I went to Buckingham Palace. We hardly stood in line and that's when we were addressed by a staff member who gave us instructions about when and where to go, so we didn't have to keep staying in that long line.
    9:30 Not with that mask on you don't. :-)
    10:28 I don't know what either of them are.
    10:46 What's that?
    11:49 As long as you had fun.

    When did Disney allow smoking? Disneyland doesn't have that in CA. We have strong smoking laws in CA. Smoking shouldn't be allowed with all the children or else a designated smoking area far, far away that effects other guests. I can't believe people haven't advocated for the non-smoking. Yuck!

  • @dawnanngallagher8495
    @dawnanngallagher8495 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just curious! Do you wipe Harlowe's undercoat after a day at Disney or stores where she lays down? I only ask because I can imagine that she picks up dirt and who knows what that may effect you and when you bring her back home the dirt and allergens then effect you. There is surgical saran wrap to put over your port or surgical sites for one to shower.

    • @chit-chat007
      @chit-chat007 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi hun, I’m binge watching and came across your question.. child swap is when parents have children but the child can’t go on the ride, they allow the adults to walk with their children & whomever their with all the way to the the entry onto the ride and the ppl take turns going on the ride while another stays w/the child/children at a designated area and when the one person is done w/ride, they watch the child (swap) and the other adult gets on the ride;) if by this time you already know the meaning, sorry for the novel Lol... Happy Holidays!

    What documents did you need to get your service dog in Disney? My ASD son will have a service dog and we want to make sure we are prepared. My son is 3. Would the dog be able to go on rides with him

    • @christinamabbitt3331
      @christinamabbitt3331 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are no documents required to prove that your dog is a service dog as in like a registration or an if, there are scams that offer to register your dog but they are 100% fake. So businesses cannot ask to see documentation

    Now that Florida is on the way to legal medicinal, would you ever take edible marijuana to alleviate pain and encourage eating?

    • @ChronicallyJaquie
      @ChronicallyJaquie  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Although it helps others and I am SO happy that they find relief, I do not think I would ever try MJ. The only way I would do it is if it were 100% legal, I did not have to smoke it, it did not make me high whatsoever, and my doctors were 100% on board with it as a treatment. But I am still having too many allergy issues to try anything new like that, it could make me react!

    • @healthyishgal733
      @healthyishgal733 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jaquie Blake lol of course not right this second. Florida has a ways to go with implementation and is already struggling. I was just wondering because I've read that POTS, EDS and SPD/autistic patients have had success in pain management and coping abilities with CBD oil. Also, I just read an interesting study about MCAD that you might like to check out in the Journal of Neuroendocrinology- "Cannabinomimetric Control of Mast Cell Mediator Release: New Perspective in Chronic Inflammation", it seems to favor cannabis towards treating inflammation.
      Please don't think of this as an argument against your current treatment plan! I really want you to get better and only wish to offer a different viewpoint that I would have never considered when I lived in Texas where my dad is in LE and "drugs are bad". Just as you educate and bring awareness to chronic illnesses, I like to do the same for medical marijuana 😊
      P.S. Thank you for your vlogs, I have health issues too and seeing your positivity is encouraging. I advocated for myself recently, thanks to you, and got what I needed! ❤❤❤
      And CBD's are available in tinctures and don't get you high. If you've ever wondered what a regular THC high feels like, the Indica strain is just like Benadryl. Makes me sleepy and useless. The Sativa strain makes me very happy to clean my house.
