As a beginner MTB if I go slow I can handle this right? Been riding several years on a road bike. I tired the start of Blue n made a u turn before the start of the down hill into the woods.

Heck yeah! You can handle that trail, just go slow and choose the line that your comfortable with. Ride safe!
