    This is the toy review format I've been searching for all these years. Nice work!

      Thanks a lot. I enjoy making videos however I do have my moments where I make mistakes or find out later that my info is off. But I have fun!

    Warduke might be the most iconic action figure of the 80s! Tho I didn't notice you mentioning the battlematic version with the less mobile leg movement and the lever on his back that made his arm go up and down.

    • @toy_room_of_insanity
      @toy_room_of_insanity  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wareduke is awesome!!!!! Checkout part 2 of this series of videos for the battlematic Warduke!

    subscribed....like watching 40yr old virgin but in real life and not a movie. Your collection is awesome and reminds me of my childhood. Toys from the 80's were the best. I sold all of mine 10 years ago for top dollar and glad I did since that was the peak during the last boom. Now everything from the 90's is red hot because people in their 30's are collecting toys from their childhood. Very cool channel and keep it up.

    Nice!! Multi-part D&D Toy vid.. *They were arguably the Best (them & DC's ALSO Beautifully colored **#SUPERPOWERS** Line)!* Alot of D&D figures were hard to find up here @theTwins in the 80's.. Toy stores always had the sets & the boring rubber solid figure line which weren't as much fun.. So most everyone was All G.I.Joe & later Transformers.

    i like how stronghearts sword is curved like a japanese katana its cool :3

    • @briancross7835
      @briancross7835 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The sword is supposed to be straight. The plastic used in the weapons was very soft and flexible, and it tended to stay bent.
      I collect these figures & I've had bent swords. I dip the sword in boiling water to soften the plastic (sword tip pointing down), then immediately dip it into cold water.

    A awesome line I still don't know why Hasbro hasn't released a line D&D figures hell they owned since the late 90's

    • @toy_room_of_insanity
      @toy_room_of_insanity  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +teppest11 Yah that is a mystery that I've asked. But I hope that they can wait until I've finished all 9 videos. There is talks of a possible movie, so maybe we will get them soon!

      I don't have much faith in Hasbro for anything. Their Star Wars figures are going back to the basic 5 POA and that pretty much sucks. If love to see a new line of D&D figures, but I just don't see it happening. We've been waiting forever for new Micronauts figures/toys too.

    I just recently purchased a lot of 17 figures and 3 of the mounts from both series 1 and 2 off of Ebay for $265 all lose. All but 2 of the figures have all of the accessories that originally came with the figures. I also purchased Hook Horror for $10.00. Today I bought the holy grail of the line with a purchase of Tiamat for $350.00. I know I paid quit high for that one but it is so rare to see it up for auction I had to get it for what ever the cost. I need to purchase Deeth and Mandoom, and one dragon to complete the line for figures and monster and mounts.

    Melf is a famous character in the AD&D RPG - being the play test character of Gary Gygax’s son Luke and the author of a number of spells in the original AD&D Player’s Handbook. Funny they changed his name, maybe there were legal issues after Gary Gygax was ejected from TSR?

    These were awesome. I remember them being on the shelves in a hobby store in the '80s. But as much as I liked them, especially as already being a D&D fan. But I was also a major AD&D cartoon fan, so didn't appreciate these as much as I could have; I was distracted by how other than a few they weren't connected at all to the show. Had they had at least Hank or Eric or one of the others, maybe. But not a one. Warduke was awesome though; the Boba Fett of the D&D crowd. Cool video.

    I heard FAO Schwarz shut down for good. A great loss. Watching this video for the first time I was thinking you would be right to do a fare well trubute. I know how youtube is about copyrights. Welcome to our world of toys I had the one in S.F to go to super expensive but that made it fun like Disneyland. All thee super expansive Lego's. I did buy a Gi Joe figure there once B.A.T.S opened it on the bus ride home loved the color combo on that figure.
