Thank you for a crisp analysis. Minor (technical) correction at 10:55: People of India are not citizens of any particular state. India does not have dual-citizenship system where individuals are citizens of the Nation and the Sate where they reside in. Thus, saying "citizens of Bihar" is incorrect. "Residents of Bihar" would have been apt.

The moral story is: the government will be changing over time and the rich will become richer... The poor will become more poor. But Even the middle class will become poor over the period of time. And this will never change or rather the situation will ultimately get worse Day by day..... We will just support the cricket heroes and their achievements and ignore the real issues of the country.....💔

nope because rich and poor class are powerfull
      rich guys - have money
poor guys - do 12 kids by that they have population so vote bank
middle class guys - sensible guys who do only 2 kids and pays eveything faithfull but no power , so they are victim
if middle class burn 3 to 4 buses ,blocks trains and roads and show their aggressive behaviour then see what happens but they don't have balls, maybe they are too good for overall society

I mean to say why these officers and politicians and contractors don't feel guilty when they just ask for bribes for very small things and eat all the money allotted by the government for any project, i would love ,If government stopped paying BIHAR that much money, 1 ruppe BIHAR collects and get 7.1 rupees and development ke name per kuch bhi nahi 😢😢😢😢😢😢

No wonder organizations existed like ULFA cause where is the equal distribution of tax money and facilities to other states. Just because bihar helped them to form a coalition govt makes them a top priority, some bullshit. Even with the budget they give to bihar, their bridges and roads still break and crumble by a small gust of wind. How are they planning to give 10,000,000 internships with fortune 500 companies. Are they just hoping that these companies will employ 10,000,000 Indians or they got some contacts with these companies. I hate when the governments throw such figures and no media wants to ask these politicians for concrete details. The fortune 500 companies have 30,000,000 total employees as of right now. How are they going to take in additional 33% workforce specially from India. Are Indians going to get special visas to work in these companies? Are we going to work remotely.

Indexation accounts for inflation in cost of acquisition of an asset. Say you bought something for Rs. 100 today and hold the asset for 10 years. Assuming an average inflation rate of 6%, the cost of acquisition will be 179 after 10 years.
Now say you sell it for 250 after 10 years. With indexation you'll be making a profit of 71 on which 20% tax was applicable, amounting to 14.2. Without indexation, your profit will be 150 on which 12.5% tax amounts to 18.75. So now you're paying more tax. Increase the number of years of holding, and see the gap rise dramatically in tax paid. Say for 20 years and 450 selling price the taxes will be 25.8 and 43.75 respectively.

The main reason for removal of indexation is that government doesn't want the normal folks to know the effect of inflation.
If something costed 100 in 2001, now it would cost 348 on the basis if indexation, which is simply not true. It would cost more than 1000 I'm sure.
Plus the extra tax recovery is just an added bonus for them.

So in conclusion, it won't benefit the public. The govt wants to bleed us dry.
