    Wow what a great idea! I was looking for exactly that solution because as a speaker in zoom conferences I needed the freedom to move around the room and I do not want a shaky PC Bluetooth connection, Since 2 years I actually have this pair of wireless rode microphones in my camera bag but I never thought about using it for transmitting tone to the headphones! thank you very much I will try it out in a minute.

    Wow! 2 years already... how have things evovled since then? I was wondering if I could jam wireless with friends with headphones, and I can't believe this was the best solution I found. Like... I'm sure I'm not the only one that is looking for something like that? It seems so easy to do yet so hard to find... Thanks for the vid, gave me a good idea of what was available!

    I was a radio DJ and we would have "bathroom songs" that were 5-8 minutes. I couldn't monitor what was on the air from the bathroom so I always wore a watch with a stopwatch feature. Came in very handy. Wish there were wireless headphones back then!

      there actually was well from 1994 onwards look up Recoton W500 also rf tech was a thing but needed to be in view of source but a few tv brands also made wireless headphones for older people that could be adapted to headphone jacks of stuff if removed it was kinda cool but yeah you would have to be looking for solutions extra hard lol.

    Thanks for the video. I really loved the Wireless Go system. It's exactly the kind of thing I need. I live in an apartment, so I play my guitar using headphones, and being wireless could be simply amazing. I've done that already with my guitar, but the headphone is still an issue that I would like to solve. The problem is the price... almost two hundred bucks for this system is quite expensive for me now. So, in case you find another cheap option with less than 10 msec latency, please, let us know!

      It's better to run a separate headphone device to plug in to. I run a headphone amp that doesn't color the sound, so singers can control their own volume and higher ohm headsets can get more volume.

    now I have a set of Sony wireless headphones that I was talked into by a salesman that claimed they were comparable to the Bose ? Cost was similuar and I hate them because of 2 reasons 1 the sound quality sucks for music 2 they are uncomfortable onmy head because of the stupid on off bar plus I have a pair of wired Behringer studio phones that sound great and I would like to make those work wireless you didn’t mention the names or links where to get the system you like the best FYI although I don’t know much about you I value your opinion and reccomendation because of your DJ ear I played guitar for 35 years and high quality sound is important to me I’m well aware that Behringer may not be the top equipment out there but in the case of my headphones they built a winner for the price so well I’m on my 3rd or 4th set of HPX 2000 models due to my own fault of breaking the plastic by dropping them

    dropping the bomb, use guitar wireless systems. people are using this on stages for years now, almost no delay so they can play live instrument. there are cheap and good quality stuff you can find. normally it is supposed to send guitar signal to mixing deck or pedal board. but if you use it the other direction, from dj mixer to headphone, problem solved. you just need a way to connect 1/4" jack to your headphones, and you can use behringer p2 for that.
    this is not my idea btw. just search diy in ear wireess monitoring system or sth like that.

    Those are so cool... but I have to say though that in 10+years of DJing I have never pulled down a rig or stopped music because of the headphone cable lol... nor ever seen that happen.
    But I do love this content though since I have Pioneer HDJ-CUE1 headphones (which doesn't have Bluetooth), and I have a Samsung Galaxy phone which doesn't have an aux connection! (Thanks Samsung!) .... So yeah, this might do the trick for me :) ... thanks

    The RODE Wireless only transmit a mono signal so it's not good for listening to a stereo track L R

    • @Jonsine
      @Jonsine  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes that’s right forgot to mention it but for DJing I’m fine with that since I anyways only use one cone and prefer having no latency.

    • @SoundFriendly
      @SoundFriendly 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Investigating this further brings me to the Thomann.de website where a part of the comment reads:
      "The digital conversion latency is very low (5 milliseconds) and does not cause any noticeable lag in video. The transmitter and the receiver are delivered paired to work together. Two Rode Wireless GO sets can easily be used simultaneously by connecting the two receivers with a Y-cable (for example, Native Instruments Traktor DJ Cable). The outgoing signal is then stereo and each Rode Wireless GO is recorded on its own channel. Very useful for dialogues. The windshields provided are effective. The belt clip of the receiver slips into the camera shoe. Autonomy is approximately six hours of continuous use. The mini USB jack allows external battery powering, in operation or charging. The Rode Wireless GO is small and light. An ideal and discreet travel companion. ....."
      So, to make this stereo you need two Wireless Go systems combined with a Y splitter on the sending side and another Y stereo cable on the receiving side. It becomes a bit expensive then (368 euros) but stereo is possible and you can use it in a studio for recording purposes then.

      Yeah, me too. Cables just work. Inexpensive, stereo, no latency problems if you don't go crazy distances, no loss in quality due to transmission compression, no problems with potential interfering signals, and last but not least, way more ecological than hi tech with batteries etc. As for the DJ part, well, simply create a pre-mix 15 minutes instead of 8 minutes and everything should be cool.
