Wow thank you for this video. I did everything you said and ..... perfect... now the dash said not ready to drive. I hope in 8hrs the memory of this truck will be restore🙏.
I was struggling getting the fuse out to with those clips same for about an hour your tricks with the screwdrivers took maybe three minutes to get it off good job with your video thanks a lot😅
Ok, swapped out battery and the two fuses that looked blown. Starts up and runs, throttle responsive but sounds a little higher pitched than normal. Throwing codes for traction control, ABS, tire pressure. Brake lights and signals don’t work at all. Going to try driving it home using hand signals. I see you’re a welder! I’m learning purge on thin stainless today while I’m waiting for material to be delivered so I can finish a dual shield project.
You had mentioned previously that you haven’t replaced the main fuse yet. That’s probably your issue. The main fuse is actually called the “fusible link” meaning it is the connection from one half of your fuse box to the other half. So if any leg within that main fuse/fusible link is blown then one Half of your fuse box is not getting any power. What happened to your truck in the first place? Installed battery backward? Or jumped it reverse?
@@_allthingsdude jumped it with cables crossed. I bit the bullet and made an appointment to get it fixed by a reputable place in town. Hopefully it’s just that fusible link.
Did you have any other problems after this? I can get mine to turn over but the throttle isn’t responding properly. Still haven’t removed the main fuse yet.
Yes I had the same issue! Did you watch until the end? Before my main fuse blew it blew a bunch of 10amp fuses, one of which was an etc fuse (electronic throttle control) and a few other related to fuel injection and so on. After replacing about 4 or so of those 10amp fuses everything was running perfectly after that! So you may have the same issue. I can’t remember the names of all the fuses that blew but I mention them in the video so check it out! Hope that helps!
@@_allthingsdude I thought I did, watched to start it up. Napa doesn’t carry those little red 10’s so I may have to go to the stealership for those. One of the green 40’s blew but Napa does in fact carry those. Thanks for the reply btw! I’ll let you know how this all turns out. One a side note I’m one of the lucky tundra owners with leaky cam towers. Toyota in my town said to replace all the seals, for 5k.
Oh man what a bummer! I think I got mine at o’reillys and they only came in mix packs so I had to buy like 4 variety packs to get the amount of 10amps I needed. Sucks to hear about your cam towers! Those repairs ain’t cheap! Gone luck man and yes please let us know how it turns out in the comment, might save the next guy!
Dude, thanks so much for this video! I installed my new battery backwards in my '13 tundra (it was dark and I'm not too bright) and after installing the battery properly, it would start but wouldn't shift out of park and some electronics weren't working. This video helped me with finding the part and installing it so I appreciate it.
Going through the same shit… my 16 yr boy said he wasn’t paying attention when he tried to jump his tundra. No windows, radio, hvac… injectors fuse blown and other miscellaneous fuses blown!!!
what other problems you had besides the truck will not start?? i heard you saying the windows will not roll down ,, the AC didn't work either?? please let me know , i will apreciatt it,, my Tundra will start but Ac,, radio and windows will not go down
Thanks, Mice got in my fuse box and chewed the insulation off a bunch of wires and they shorted across. I temporarily taped up wires and put everything back together and checked all the fuses and relays but didn’t check this block because it wasn’t easy to get out. I should be able to get it out tomorrow after watching your tips, many thanks. Subscribed
On my todo for tomorrow. Truck won’t crank and looking at the fuse block some are blown. Of course, it could be short somewhere else, so will need to inspect more. Thinking a rodent was in there. Thanks for the tip on how to get this block out. Good vid!
You prob saw my video with the mice that got into the blower fan and blew out that fuse link.. It is not an easy job, but do-able if you have a reference video.. Nice job... ! I love Toyota, but they have got to have a better way to replace that fuse module. I should be a slide in and click change out..
Well, you said you wanted to save someone's ass. That ass was me!😂 I, too, had a backwards battery due to a momentary "Biden" episode. Thanks for the video. A little tip for others....Lable your wires. 👍
@@adambrunkow6034 a Biden moment 🤣 yes definitely label the wires! Good idea! I almost screwed up several times and if you screw up then connect the battery then you’re back to square one!
My dad was struggling for over an hour trying to figure out how to remove the main fuse. Thanks man!!!!
Man I had the same problem! If i had known it was such a pain I would’ve started filming before I started! Glad it helped man!

Dang all the safety require maintenance is still on... it won't crank over and my fob won't unlock the doors either... fml
Make sure to check all of your other fuses. Mine blew out a bunch of 10amp fuses prior to blowing the main fuse/fusible link.

Welp it won’t even go into gear. So I’m stuck. Gotta look for more videos now. At least the angle iron arrived so I have something to work on.

Thank you bro appreciate that!! This was a frustrating day to say the least so that came out on camera.
Thanks. Getting that fusible link block out is a pain
Dude, you can say that again
How will you know if this fuse is bad by looking at?
