LIFE HACK: for anyone struggling to practice what Eckhart is teaching - an untrained mind is a mind full of suffering. Meditate silently for 5-10 min per DAY EVERYDAY on the breath coming in and out of your nostrils. Sounds easy but it’s not. You will have thoughts. Every time you do bring yourself back to that delicate feeling of the air going in and out your nose. You are not failing if you have thoughts. Keep bringing yourself back, THAT is meditation. And THAT is training your brain. And THAT is what will help his teachings actually make a difference in your life. Listening to these teachings it’s just not enough. It is only the tip of the iceberg. YOU must do the work.

When I was in the early days of giving up drugs, I read Eckhart a lot. I applied it directly to my situation when he said, basically, that you don't need anything ELSE; you just don't want the moment you're in, no matter what that looks like.
Let me break this down as " I " see it. What is prompting your state of consciousness and what is questioning to ask what is my state of consciousness right now, more so, where is that information going to. What is prompting love from within one being for the attributes of another being that is being recognised. That is the problem with so called teachers and guru's etc, they dont have a clue how the intelligent species initially Formed to realise the Form is doing the prompting. You are consciousness, you are unconsciousness. There is nobody who can stand outside and define it. You can know it, but you cannot define it. That’s why all religion is mysterious, mystical, vague, cloudy - because no term which is very basic to religion can be defined.
The subject cannot be made an object. I cannot put myself in front of me, so I cannot define. Neither has Buddha defined, nor Jesus. Definition as such is debarred by the very nature of the phenomenon.
Everything else can be defined because consciousness is the definer. Everything else is before consciousness. The consciousness can know - it can go around, watch, observe, experiment, define, dissect - but who will define consciousness? You cannot go away from it: you are it. You can know it, but you cannot define it. Knowledge is not possible, only knowing.

Eckhart Tolle is trying to explain what is happening in side you. That is about your mind & thoughts. He says that Buddha said about “awakening”. Buddha said nothing to do anything. Buddha gave a massage to the all mankind. He explained shortly and simply about what is happening in side you. That is about your mind & thoughts. Even today that is what man can’t understand. Thoughts are generated through your five senses (external stimuli) & registered in your brain without your knowledge. No time taken. You can do nothing about it. You can’t stop it. Awakening is not a achieve able task. What you have to do is understand what is happening inside you, nothing anything to do. Only you can do understand you.

What is prompting your state of consciousness and what is questioning to ask what is my state of consciousness right now, more so, where is that information going to.
What is prompting love from within one being for the attributes of another being that is being recognised.
