Great vlog guys. I'll be going over to Toubkal in April solo. I am wondering is the Refuge first come first serve or do you have to have reservations? Also the price of the gear and the accommodation was it per person or both? Cheers
Hey Yousuf! That’s incredible it was a challenging but VERY rewarding experience 👌 we were told by our host in Imlil to pre-book the refuge and take cash to pay. It was pretty busy when we got there so I recommend shooting them an email. The rental gear was the price just for Max’s gear and one pair of gloves for me. The refuge was the price for two people including dinner and breakfast!
I too hiked Toubkal a few wks back and, like Jacqueline, also struggled due to the altitude making it to the top... today though, I have great memories of that trip, so it was worth it!... great video!!!
Yes it was mixed and no they didn’t have any private rooms. It’s too small and they want to fit as many people as possible because that’s more income for them. Plus more people in your room means more body heat so it’s warmer 😆
Oooh great question, we can’t remember exactly but roughly (in AUD) $700 which included the rental car to get there, accommodation at the bottom and top, that also included dinner at the shelter up top and some stale bread for breakfast 😅 the guide plus our rental equipment. The rental car alone was about $250-300 and we found out after you can get a shared grand taxi to imsil for a lot less!
