The Maqbara of Ibrahim Mallick Baya was built some 600 years ago atop the Pir Pahari hills. Around 1339 CE, Ibrahim Mallick arrived in India and served as a general under Delhi Sultan Mohammad Tughlaq, winning several wars. His spiritual journey was very well-known. His mausoleum’s or makbara minimalist aestheticism gives it a saintly atmosphere. The moving green mosaic made by flocks of wild parrots and birds atop the dome to transmit the song of life is also worth seeing.
