When it comes to pursuing her passion for music, Audriix is nothing less than a force of nature. Growing up in northern California, the singer/songwriter begged for violin lessons at age two and soon moved on to also mastering piano, viola, and singing (eventually adding guitar and drums as well). Having started writing songs at age six, she later self-produced her first batch of material in the midst of earning three degrees from Stanford University.
On her full-length debut Status Change, Audriix brings her voice to a brightly edgy brand of pop built on massive choruses and effervescent melodies. The follow-up to Audriix's 2015 debut EP Colors, Status Change examines heartache and infatuation and enduring romance, all with a fearless honesty. “None of these songs portray the woman as the victim,” she says. “It’s all about being strong and standing up for yourself. I hope that listeners come away feeling empowered to do whatever they set their minds to.”

Everybody's commenting on the voices, but I have to applaud the organist as well. The part of the song where the lyrics go, "My spirit and my voice in one combined" - the organ and the way everything kind of crescendos is superb.

Mask ?? Seriously ? This is incredible, by any standard, so WHO CARES about the mask ? Audrey, I LOVED it, period ! I've been lucky enough to attend the Broadway production, Nashville tour several times and the Vegas Spectacular more than twenty times. I have an original signed script and spent a lot of time with the cast in Vegas. So, I'm a true fan. Did you have a custom, fitted mask, that cost several thousand dollars ? of course not. But you did make an amazing tribute cover that was amazing. Beautiful job !

Actually you don't need to spend a lot for a fitted mask. Good old paper mache . You can make one by molding it directly to the performers face. Just wrap his face with cellophane then use strips of news paper dipped in a solution made with glue and water. Mold it to the face. Let it harden. Once it's dry, decorate it.
Phantom needs to be more powerful and needs a better fitting mask but Christine was perfect, and the organ is just outstanding.
I've tried many prop masks, and unless it's personally made it never fits quite right. Great video though!

Agreed the Phantom is supposed to be far more commanding. The mask bothered me as well. Justin is an excellent vocalist but not the best Phantom. ( sorry Justin )

I couldn't handle how beautiful this was, so I cried at the end when she sang the highest note. I am not really good at music, but to me this song is absolutely highest class music and the singing was magic, thank you for this video!

I have to disagree. I love the more mellow Phantom with the seductive, calming, and hypnotizing voice. It feels so possessing and really adds to the haunting eerie affect, as if they are two voices in one, and he is controlling Christine's voice

..."Phantom'" is a pretty high bar to clear with all it's moving parts ... tricky, with pitfalls that can screw up an otherwise great performance ... not only did Audriix & Justin hit all the right notes and with good power, their acting was pretty damn good, too ... the organist & cinematography were both spot on ... Bravo ...

the phantom should be a strong male presence, thats why I enjoyed Gerard butlers performance. his voice could have been better but it was a strong masculine voice. on the other hand some phantoms have a great voice but fall short of a strong masculine voice and presence. the female role never fails in my opinion.

+Audrey I had to respond the the "mask critics", unbelievable. Once again, no level of skill and talent, can escape the critique, of the self appointed "Phantom Masters" on YT. Their expertise on vocals, music, directing, producing, wardrobe (masks) and A.L. Webber himself, is staggering. When these people speak, scribes take down every utterance, so future generation may benefit from their wisdom and insight. When not performing worldwide or advising casts of major productions, they are in high demand by Directors of stage and screen. They even served in an advisory role, when Webber was writing the score. So, you're so lucky, to have their time. Truth is, they saw the Phantom move once, can't sing or play anything, except an iPod and the only part they could land in their high school play, was stagehand.. So, IGNORE these untalented trolls and their boorish criticisms. They can get their cultural entertainment watching "Friday The 13th", part 1 through 25.Jason's mask fits well.
