Amazing song. Interesting how we heard this one a long time before it became "mainstream" on the radio. Even recall one time, driving and they say on the radio, here is a new one, great hit, from Real Life, Send me an Angel... that was 10 years after we heard and have been listening to it. It is a great 80s song, that brings back great memories and great feelings. Love this song and that era of music.

In 1986 I got out of school in Los Angeles that cloudy day and rushed from Belmont high school home to sit in front of my papa's TV we only had one TV and turned on to VideoOne to watch the premiere of this beautiful song. I have made it this far happy 😊

I was a young 18 year old private in Fort Knox Kentucky in 1989 going through Basic Training when this version came out. We had smuggled in a small radio into the barracks and would listen to it at night after the Drill Sergeant made his rounds. Good times during the 80's!
Breaks my heart that it took me 30 years to really appreciate this era of music. I love it now more than ever, and more as time goes by. I hope I meet a woman who loves this shit; who's into this corny romance.
You will need to find a gen x girl. But then they may be too old for you😉. I see a lot of young people on old 80s videos saying they love this musical era. You never know. She may be around the corner! I dont know how old you are but you should check out clan of xymox (a little darker but still making music and better than ever- "she" is a new song but has the old 80s vibe).
Also for uplifting fun 80s music try ABC. When I'm in bad mood I just put them on and I feel better in minutes and the lead singer and the drummer are really positive good guys! I watched them on VH1 when they brought old bands back together and their interviews were awesome. Nice to see musicians who didnt become a sad mess- I mean that empathetically but just so sick of the sadness of their lives- heartbreaking. Nice to see people make it through without major snags and very inspirational to keep going even when life is tough. But anyway ABC is fun and always had fun videos.
Also a great band is The Church- not as popular as these bands but still making music and excellent- unique sound and very ethereal. But I guess the 80s was a time of etherealness- if theres a word for that lol. Dont forget about Mr Mister- broken wings- inspirational and beautiful.
Anyway wishing you luck in finding the right girl. Be patient. It took me til I was 38 to find the right guy and we are going on 9 years of marriage and 11 of being together and we have been through. serious illness, poverty and other struggles but still together.
