It's literally hard for me to hear her beautiful voice and not tear up. She was one of a kind. A voice that was never before and one we will never hear again. Rest easy my angel
This just might be their best... and that's saying something. Takes me right back to the time it was released. This is a Killer track. What a voice, what a loss. Few can switch between ethereal and ballsy rock chick so effortlessly.
NEVER apologise for rewinding to hear Delores again ! She is such a beautiful soul and her keening (traditional Irish style of melancholic singing) speaks to my celtic blood. I am so glad she lived in my time (and I was a young teen when they first came on the scene) and we have her voice, her image and her words preserved for (hopefully) all time because she deserves to live on
The voice and face of an angel. Impossible not to fall in love with her after hearing this. Truly tragic loss that she's no longer with us but what a gift she left us with. Yeah I return to this one every so often and it just transports me elsewhere. RIP Dolores
Unlike today, there was something with talent behind it for everyone. The boy bands could all sing without autotune. If you didn’t like that, there was rock like this, metal, funk metal, hip hop, that rock/rap stuff like Limp Bizkit or really good R&B. There was even swing for a while and of course techno. Now what do we have? Pop and hip hop and both suck.
...when you begged for more and had to rewind just to hear that ethereal voice again... I love experiencing that feeling of discovery vicariously through you. It's the next best thing to bring able to hear it for the first time myself
17 years old when this was written. All the lyrics, all he backing melodies, the strings melody...in a few days of meeting the rest of the band. Just an amazing talent. And all about a teenage dance where she met a boy who turned up at the next dance with another girl!
I heard this song many years ago working my first job as a cart boy at a local grocery store but didn't know who the band was. Fast forward thirty years and the death of my daughter two years ago to cancer, somehow, I stumbled upon the Cranberries song, Zombie, and watched the music video - I was struck at how much my lost daughter looked like Dolores, so the song hit double hard. I began listening to more of their songs and stumbled across your reaction videos to their songs. Your reactions are authentic, and I really appreciate them. I have come to love the music this band made and wonder sometimes what impact my daughter might have made if she had lived longer than her 21 years. My daughter loved music, and I like to think that maybe she and Dolores are somewhere singing together and enjoying beauty. Thanks for what you do, man - it adds a layer of beauty to songs that already enchant.
So sorry, Gojub, for the loss of your daughter, and sending positive energy your way, that you might keep finding the strength to carry on in the face of such a heartbreaking event. May your daughter be enjoying life on the other side, free from pain singing up a storm!
I got into their music back in the late 90s, when I was around 12. Listening to them now (at 36) is extremely nostalgic but at the same time it hits differently. This is one of those bands that once you listen to their music, it stays with you forever.
Thank you for another Cranberries reaction! Dolores is the absolute best in my opinion. I always say her voice enters your ears and goes straight to your heart and wraps around your soul. She makes you feel her vocals in a way nobody else can. More Cranberries please 🙏 Also, this was the first song she wrote for The Cranberries.
This was on the radio constantly right after the break up of a 5 year relationship and I'd start to tear up every time it came on. Was working in a restaurant at the time and it sucked if I was bartending or waiting on tables as there were plenty of times I had to go in the back hall until I got myself composed enough to deal with customers again. Those lyrics. Every time I hear it it takes me back to that time like it was yesterday.
I love your smile at your 3:39 mark when you see/hear Dolores's magical vocals! That's a Great Genuine Reaction that speaks without saying a word! Your Reaction videos to The Cranberries so far are fantastic. Many others have recommended "Ode to My Family" , but also react to "When You're Gone" and then hit "Just My Imagination" for a peppy tune. The word you couldn't think of to describe her vocals is simply "AMAZING!!"
Agree. Your reaction is so genuin and beautiful. Couldn’t stop smiling. Thanks for a fantastic video of reacting to one of the best songs ever made. RIP Dolores. The music world will never be the same without you ❤️
I don't think as a 14 year old when this came out that my generation really appreciated just how diverse popular music was during the 90s. At any given time you could have rock, r&b, pop, alternative all with completely different sounds and more competing in the charts. Now there are no real bands or groups releasing entire albums with their own style and sound, it's just producer driven music from label created "artists".
Dude you completely remind me of a younger self singing along to this in pubs in the UK when it came out. Cranberries debut song was like no other. Massive loss. RIP Dolores.
This is one of the most beautiful voices ever. An Angels voice. I absolutely love it. There’s days I tear up to its beauty and others it actually brings flowing tears. RIP Dolores.
This was one of those groups that I found before all my friends and before any main radio play. The Cranberries will always be special for that reason for me, and I miss that time when they were "mine".
This is one of my favourite songs of theirs. It’s a very pretty song. I’ve loved The Cranberries for almost my whole life ever since I first heard of their first album, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We? (That’s the album title). When I found out that Dolores passed away in 2018, that was the first real time that i actually started to cry about a celebrity. She influenced me so much. Next year, on January 15th, I’m going to listen to her music with The Cranberries and her solo work, as it will mark 5 years since her death. RIP Dolores. One of the best and most unique voices I’ve ever heard.
This album came out when my marriage was falling apart. After we finally split this album was just on random repeat many a night. Dolores was a real life Siren. Millions of us miss her. ❤️
Its just beautiful watching your reactions as her ethereal Irish originality whispers, winds and seeps into your pores and before you know it she grabs that special place in your heart. Gone behind the veil just out of reach but never ever forgotten 💔
I can’t believe you have not heard this song until now. I have been in love with this song since 1993. It just might be the favorite song of my lifetime. Delors’s voice is exquisite. Gorgeous while also emotionally compelling. The instrumental brilliance of the band should not be overlooked either. I am glad you appreciate it as much as I always have.
This is the first song she ever wrote. The band gave an instrumental tape and she wrote the lyrics and added some of the melody. I liked it in the 90's but I am now addicted to it and play it several times a day.
My favorite Cranberries tune of all. I never get tired of it. I’m 63, and takes me back to a time I was in a relationship just like this (many years before this song even came out).
I cant!!! :(((((((( I was probably 13 when I heard Zombie for the first time, and i managed to saved some money, went to the town on a bus with my cousin to get the album (cassete) and found out it's already their second album, since i can only afford one cassetes that time, i decided to buy Everybody else first..... What a revelation! The first day i got them playing them all day long through my earphones and what a magical debut for me a 13 yo, with no interest in music before. the next day, when my cousin went back to the city, he STOLE the casette/ album!!!!! You have NO IDEA how LINGER was lingering in my head for monthsss before i manage to save some more money to buy them back! It wasnt easy back then.. im a life long Cranberries fan they are my family, i grew up entirely with them ... :(
This is now going to be in your heart and mind forever..... welcome to my world. Dolores and sinead were the voices of my generation of irish women. Rest in Power ladies x
I can barely can watch The Cranberries because of the double edged sword that it means in my own journey it was a band that defined my early adulthood and the scars it left still are sore and hurt to this date. However nobody gets out of this world without getting hurt. I’m sorry that this reaction to your reaction is a year late but I’ve just discovered your page. My hats off to you your reactions are spot on so far. Thanks for bringing back some great memories along with bad.
One of the most hauntingly beautiful voices of all time.
It's literally angelic. Sends me to a whole other place. Just beautiful
@@rickbrousseau5372 my favourite forever fave singer
It's literally hard for me to hear her beautiful voice and not tear up. She was one of a kind. A voice that was never before and one we will never hear again. Rest easy my angel
J adorais ce groupe...unique RIP dolores😢❤
I find it hard not to shed a tear when I listen to the sweet, yet powerful voice of Delores.
What a loss. 😞
Every time I hear Dolores' voice, I cry.
This just might be their best... and that's saying something. Takes me right back to the time it was released. This is a Killer track. What a voice, what a loss. Few can switch between ethereal and ballsy rock chick so effortlessly.
Incredible song sung by the most incredible singer ❤️

The lyrics, the melody, the arregement, the strings, her beautiful voice made this the GREATEST ballad of the 90s. Period.
It's great to see a young man enjoy this musical wonder
RIGHT!!!!!
The voice and face of an angel. Impossible not to fall in love with her after hearing this. Truly tragic loss that she's no longer with us but what a gift she left us with. Yeah I return to this one every so often and it just transports me elsewhere. RIP Dolores
Well said my friend
The voice of an angel.
Watching your joy here is so contagious!
Delores was an Irish angel on earth
It's moving to see how much this affects you. It's beautiful. "Ode To My Family" is equally special
The 90's were a special time for music.

Thank you for not interupting this haunting song. RIP Delores 😢
Love their sound, we lost one of the most unique singers in musicdom.

Same age, same emotions :D This is one of the songs you can feel nostalgic about even if you never heard it before.
I have a feeling she could have sung the phone book, and it would have found its way into my soul.
So beautiful and chic , Dolores just shines , nobody comes close and I love you loved it so much 🙂
Absolutely love how you love and appreciate her. X
Literally what an angels voice sounds like, just a tragedy that she didn’t feel like she belonged on this planet any longer 😢
Thank you for another Cranberries reaction! Dolores is the absolute best in my opinion. I always say her voice enters your ears and goes straight to your heart and wraps around your soul. She makes you feel her vocals in a way nobody else can. More Cranberries please 🙏

This entire album (Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?) is amazing!
This is one of those "immediately replay it" songs. You get it.
Just a gorgeous, ethereal voice. So sad that we lost her so soon.
That bridge and chorus does something to you on another level.
This is one of the greatest songs of the '90s, glad you're getting to them
You should hear Empty, War Child & Shattered, Animal Insinct

Fantastic, brilliant reaction, I LOVED it
THANK YOU FOR NOT PAUSING THE VIDEO! ❤
Thank you, love from Ireland
God bless her rip, one of Irelands greatest singers.

have you listened to Nightwish yet?
For sure! It was so diverse and creative
Great reaction man! Glad you enjoyed the special talents of the sweet Irish princess Dolores, may god rest her soul
This song came out in my Senior year. Looooved it then and still do today. I tear up everytime i hear it. Such an amazing song. RIP
Dude you completely remind me of a younger self singing along to this in pubs in the UK when it came out. Cranberries debut song was like no other. Massive loss. RIP Dolores.
RIP Delores!!! Beautiful Celtic lilt to her voice!!! I love this band!!!❤❤❤
RIP Dolores 🥹🥹🥹
This is one of the most beautiful voices ever. An Angels voice. I absolutely love it. There’s days I tear up to its beauty and others it actually brings flowing tears. RIP Dolores.
This was the soundtrack of my early college days. I’m so glad you like the music as much as we did in the mid-90s.
This was one of those groups that I found before all my friends and before any main radio play. The Cranberries will always be special for that reason for me, and I miss that time when they were "mine".
Love your reaction. I'm Irish and Proud xxx
The intro of this song is amazing. The voice of Dolores is amazing.
I love your reaction to this. It was a massive song back in the 90’s when I was a teen, and it’s still massive all these years later. Amazing 🇬🇧👍
One of the most beautiful songs and vocal performances ever. I thought the same when I first heard it decades ago.☮️
RIP Dolores🕊️
Anybody that reacts so strongly to this song really "gets" what music is all about. Good man.
It will be stuck in your head for 26 more years. Lol

Dude this came out when I was in my twenties… classic! So heartbreaking in the end! Dolores was so talented…❤
Its just beautiful watching your reactions as her ethereal Irish originality whispers, winds and seeps into your pores and before you know it she grabs that special place in your heart. Gone behind the veil just out of reach but never ever forgotten 💔
Dolores - an angel shared with the world - gone too soon. RIP sweet angel.
I can’t believe you have not heard this song until now. I have been in love with this song since 1993. It just might be the favorite song of my lifetime. Delors’s voice is exquisite. One of my favorites of The Cranberries is "Not Sorry" . It resonated with me. Not sure there's a music video, but rather video lyrics. ✌️
Lovely to see your reaction. Yep, it gets me just like that. Hugs.
I love the sweeping nature of the experience listening to this.😮
Cranberries xx love from Scotland
Dolores' vocals and lyrics are incredibly special but so is the musicality and melodicism of the rest of the band!
Essa voz acalma, hipnotiza..e linda demais
RIP Dolores. Voice of an Angel
This is the first song she ever wrote. The band gave an instrumental tape and she wrote the lyrics and added some of the melody. I liked it in the 90's but I am now addicted to it and play it several times a day.
"Ode to My Family" is a great song about loneliness and homesickness; her vocals make you feel it. Maybe try that one next?
I ❤The Cranberries too -- RIP Dolores 😥
You should check out "Ode to my Family" and "Forever Yellow Skies". Those are two of my favorites
Woe ...owd to my family ...AMAZIN vid amazin song writing.......AMAZIN ....RIP DOLORES
My favorite Cranberries tune of all. I never get tired of it. I’m 63, and takes me back to a time I was in a relationship just like this (many years before this song even came out).
She was special ❤️
Love the way youre living this song! 🔥♥️🔥

If only the popular radio stations today played music from the 80’s and 90’s. It would all instantly chart and hush the shit hop and cRAP out today
This is my favourite song from the cranberries ❤️
I love that she still back's a punch to day...miss you everyday cxxx 💚💐🌹🇬🇧
I love how much you love this!! I know the feeling of needing to the hear it immediately after a song ends!
Cranberries never disappoint! Please react to more of their music!
I was going into high school when this came out and was ubiquitous. I have such nostalgia for this band.
My exact reaction, every time I listen
AND the Cinematic Video is Beyond STUNNING!
I think it’s the melody and vocals that make it great
One of my two favorite Cranberries songs. The definition of melancholic beauty.
I’d didn’t realise I could enjoy watching someone else fall in love with songs I also love SO much 👌🏻
Dolores, I hope you can see the pure joy you still bring to new hearts every single day. Rest In Peace, Beloved Child!
Great reaction to my favorite Cranberrie song!
This is my favorite song of The Cranberries
One of my absolute favorite songs!
I like your take on her, the voice , sound you will not hear something like this again, she is an incredible woman.❤😊. Very heartfelt
Me gustó mucho tu reacción!

This is now going to be in your heart and mind forever..... welcome to my world.
Dolores and sinead were the voices of my generation of irish women. Rest in Power ladies x
I‘m still feeling so blessed! I was back in the days at a Cranberries concert in Zürich! 🫶🏼🙌
The Cranberries have a songbook of at least 100 great songs ❤
I have been in love with this since I first heard it
When you're gone and linger ALWAYS hit different
I love that you dig deep about artists
I can barely can watch The Cranberries because of the double edged sword that it means in my own journey it was a band that defined my early adulthood and the scars it left still are sore and hurt to this date. Just another soul Dolores sweet voice and soul has touched. A true unique voice in music she will be missed.
