Baller is so missed here in Vancouver. He was a great host on 1040 for so many years and was one of the best guys to ever do play by play for the Lions.
Allvin stubbed his toe in the Lindholm trade. Obtaining 5 assets was a win for Calgary given that Lindholm is not likely to be a Canuck next season. Allvin has parted with too many draft choices to win-now.
@@weirdgaming2897points aren’t everything. Lindholm is Danault when he was in Montreal. I’d give up that haul on this team. In the playoffs, you need Lindholm. I remember how valuable Guy Charbonneau was in the 80s and 90s. Perennial Selke candidate. He didn’t score much, but he was invaluable. He won 3 Cups and went to 4 Finals. Goals aren’t everything. This isn’t the 80s. I hate that some people only judge a player based on goals and assists. He gives them excellent centre depth. If you look at team construction, they’re now similar to the Penguins when they won championships. They just have to stay healthy. A year ago, they were a mess. Now, they’re a contender with depth. Stop judging players by how many points they have. There’s more to hockey than that.
@@weirdgaming2897 what assets? Hunter B isn’t a gaurantee and we are incredibly deep with defensive prospects. The only real deal thing we gave up was the pick. But what do you expect the asking price should be for the most sought after centre on the market at the deadline? You gotta roll the dice to win. He’s the kind of player we’re gonna be leaning on heavy in the playoffs. He’s killed penalties and taken big time face offs pretty consistently since he’s been here. He’s been great.

A+ for the Norm Macdonald painting
As a flames fan I’ve embraced our new direction and I hope the kids will guide us to better days
What a great guy Ballsy is with an even better painting!
I loved Ball on 1040. One time he was defending fighting in hockey and mentioned whenever he got in a fight it really got his wife's motor going.
Miss the Baller! Mid morning 1040 radio!
I miss him calling the bc lions back on day
Good info from a guy that knows.
Miss the Baller! Consummate pro. Nobody's been as good in this town since he left.
Markstrom would be good veteran goaltender to help Buffalo a couple of years bring along young netminders Lukkonen and Levi?
No. He wants to win. Otherwise why leave CGY?
Is Baller using some kind of extender on those headphones? looks like yard stick?
Yes
Calgary doesn’t know what they’ve got. All the best sports people are either from or worked in Vancouver.
What is this...amateur hour?
(Seinfeld reference fyi) 😅
Coco, yeah.. That monkey's alright, high-five!

Lindholm has been among the best forwards on the ice on most nights since he came over. Kuzmenko isn’t even going to be in the league next season.
Lindholm is a real deal for Canucks. Glad Canucks get rid of Kuzmenko
@@lannon4prezbut why trade all those assets for a guy to get 8 points in 21 games
