At Japan in a restaurant, they allow you to choose something from a box full of toys, knickknacks, books, etc... I chose this really nice condition 1996 Pokémon Red solitaire card pack (there was another one in the box but with Pokémon Blue) and it was just solitaire with vintage Pokémon designs in the middle of the cards. When I moved from my old house, I saw the pack of cards and decided to trash them. One year later, I find out that they’re worth over $500. That restaurant gave me $500 and I threw $500 away.
I found my old pokemon set at my moms in a very well kept pokemon binder. They all look mint or near mint condition. Found 8 1st edition cards (including Charizard holo 1st edition). I also have 11 more charizard cards that aren't first edition but a couple holographic. It's about 230 cards lol time to do some researching and grading! So freaking stoked!!

Don't believe the hype. Pokemon cards are "worth" alot but unless u got a guy like Logan Paul then nobody is going to pay you top dollar for a shadowlesss 1st Ed charizard card. They see an untouched misprinted Pikachu card that's worth 5000 dollars and only want to pay u 100 If that for it. Pokemon craze will fall like comic books any day now and the only ones that might be worth something have to be owned by celebrities.
So my mom's boyfriend was addicted to Pokémon and he had thousands of cards. One day his dad came to him and said he needed to clean his room or the stuff on the floor would go to the trash, so he cleaned up his room and left the things that he doesn't really like in a pile on his floor. Reminder he only had half an hour to clean his room. So his dad came in 30 minutes later and went to look under his bed and found all the stuff he was going to keep. Then his dad threw away his ps1, his Nintendo 64 and even his Pokémon cards. Then he burned them. The next morning he was watching the news and there was a banned Pokémon card because of the symbol. They said they where selling those cards for over $23,000 dollars for it. And he turned to his dad, sobbing, and his dad asked why he was crying, he said, " I had three of those!!! **sobs more** and that is how we are so poor.
I found a binder of my son's old cards in mint condition. One card is in Japanese, says Rocket Monsters on the back instead of Pokemon but the front is the same style as Pokemon, says 1996 Nintendo, picture of white horse galloping with fire behind. Any idea if this might be valuable?
I have a krabby that looks just like that but its German language. The language is the only difference, everything is still there. Will it still be the same? Example: irongrip is on original but mine is Eiserner Griff. Weird that I have one.

My son collected these back in the day he has complete base set and complete 1st edition team rocket deck plus super rare dark raichu. all mint, he was obsessive about putting them straight into sleeves then into binders. quite a few promo cards too from movies and stuff and some japanese ones. maybe ots time to get them out of the attic :D

I got two ancient new cards from the movie in 1999 according to one of my friends they can go for up too 500.00 a piece in the mint condition mine r in. So if u r getting an legit ancient new card from the movie for 100.00 it's worth buying.
Dude got some from XY and black and white that were in a protective binder bought 118.00 cards for 100.00 bucks from a friend who bought them for 80.00 at a garage sale look them over found out if I go by eBay prices they r worth 10-15,000 dollars but realistically the 118 cards r probably worth half that in reality. But those ancient mew card is a solid find especially since u could only get it from attending the movie.
That illustrator card sold again this week but it was the lower graded one I think PSA 7 or 8 and it sold for $900,000! Imagine the PSA 9 or if there is a 10 how much it would fetch.

The 5 is the number card in the set while the 12 means the amount of numbers in the set
