    Men, I really, really loved this episode! Very well edited. The voice over and variety in shots are great. And a very good story line...👌👍 I also like your plan for the America's, although we're not going to cross paths, we can get exited to think about new continents in the future 😊!

      I think we’ve just watched each others videos at the same time 😄 your latest video is another superb one. This tour won’t be the end of our travels, that’s for sure. Hopefully our paths will cross at some point 👍

    @ 11.51 you taught a Thai driver a lesson. Fortunately it turned out ok so I hope the next time they will keep enough distance when they see a cyclist going up such a steep hill. Beautiful docu on the Mae Hong Son Loop! Thanks!

    Riding to Pai is not a place where one wants "brakes a little non responsive". If you are wondering why the roads are so steep the answer is very easy to understand. Take a small Toyota pickup and load it down about as much as the springs will tolerate, turn it around and start up the hill in reverse, which is the lowest gear in just about any vehicle, If the pickup can get up the road, that is what Thai engineers will set the grade at for the road. No need to waste asphalt with extra turns and flatter grades :))) Hope you two had a great time and do come back someday.

    Great vid guys 😊 and well done Lu for the voice overs. I always enjoy how different each of your videos are when some touring videos have almost the same format each time - keep going, stay safe and Happy New year to you both! 🤗

      Thank you (Adam here). I'm keen to keep trying different things with the videos (but keeping the focus of the videos on the bike trip) and it's nice to hear that it's noticed and appreciated. Happy New Year to you too. Maybe we could give a talk to your students when we finally get back to Yorkshire.

    Excellent video! I am truly looking forward to doing a very long tour of SE Asia and Australia. I have thought about maybe starting in a Southern SE city in China and ride my way over through SE Asia and down to and around Australia. Big planning on that one! Cheers!

      That sounds fantastic! I would highly recommend Kunming (where we currently are) as a starting city in China. You can get to Vietnam or Laos quite easily from here and Yunnan province is beautiful for cycle touring.

    Just curious what kind of climbing gears you need to make this loop? I run a 1X 11 x 42 with 36 chain ring. Believe that provides a 23 gear ratio. Any idea how you compare? Beautiful video and nice narrative. Thanks for sharing!

    Hi guys, just happened to come by your video, any chances the Buddha giving ceremony was on 28 November 2018 ? Because I was in khun yuam as well. I’ll be stoked to know the passer by on the bicycle was on their way back to the UK. 😀 certainly enjoying your videos and stay well guys. :)

    • @PathfinderBikepacking
      @PathfinderBikepacking  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The ceremony was on 11 Nov 2018. Reason I remember this so clearly is it was my first Remembrance Day since leaving the military. Maybe our paths did cross. The world is small.

    Great video series. I will keep on watching your journeys. One question, how do you guys pack your bikes when traveling to another country?

    • @PathfinderBikepacking
      @PathfinderBikepacking  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When we flew from the UK to Singapore, we put the bikes in a big cardboard box. For all the other countries we just cycle over the border.

  • @jimbojet8728
    @jimbojet8728 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    How do I ride to Singapore? I know I can get on my bike and do it, but the route? How do you work that out? I assume you flew from where to where? I’d like to try this. Thank you
