Scrollsequence Wordpress Plugin - Use An Image Sequence On Scroll To Play Video Forwards and Back

- With the Scroll Sequence WordPress plugin, you can create a "video" that plays as you scroll, just like the Apple site does. It will play forward when you scroll down and backward when you scroll up. You can overlay text, you can make the image sequence on scroll full width or put it into a column in an Elementor page. You've never seen anything like this in WordPress.

I didn’t test the weight, but it’s not a very big plugin.
It loads first few images of the animation on page load and the remaining ones are loaded in the background. Otherwise there is just few lightweight .js files that drive the animation.

Is it possible to animate three different paragraphs to appear and disappear in different order in a same scroll sequence? I've seen some use cases but I cant seem to get it right, it only displays the first paragraph, and the next paragraphs wont even appear
There is a delay from when the scroll sequence starts, you can see it on this video too. The page moves down before the scroll sequence starts playing. You can see that the scroll sequences of the plugin creators do not have the page moving down, it makes it look clunky and ugly. Has anyone figured out how to get rid of it?

This is very cool and something Ive wanted to do for a while. How does it effect page speed?
Only few images are fetched on page load (and you can control how many) the remaining ones are loaded in the background. I need to do some tests and publish them to answer that question once and for all! :-)

Great question, I should have anticipated this kind of problem for the video. I'm not sure how you're exporting the 3D animation, but maybe there are options to reduce the image file size when you export.
Another way is to use photo editing software like Photoshop, Affinity Photo, GIMP (which is free), and save your images at a lower resolution and/or smaller size. Generally you don't need images that are wider than 3000px and a resolution of 72ppi is good for the internet.
By reducing the file size of the images your visitor's computers will also be able to load the image faster, which is better for user experience.

How does this one square against Scroll Magic which has been around for quite a long time? I think they're on version 4.something now
Great question Uldis, at this point Scroll Magic allows alot more flexibility with creating animations and it allows for multiple layers spanning multiple rows of content. A big difference is that Scroll Magic is a jquery plugin which requires some manual work to get it to work on WordPress where as Scrollsequence is a plugin, so it's a bit more beginner-friendly. But if you look at this example site for Scroll Magic: alfredservice.com/ It's capabilities are a little beyond Scrollsequence right now.

You chose 20FPS for 10 seconds of video (200 frames). But then the video suddenly switches to 10FPS so you end up with 100 frames. That part was confusing.
That may have been poor editing on my part, sorry about that!

The plugin sends your page loading time in to the abyss and Google presents 99% of their page speed measurements in red.
why don't you cut the video in sequences man!!!
