Best of luck to him. Unfortunately, the FSU program had to revamped from top to bottom, which means new coaches and players. FSU needs OL players that want to play for the new coaches.
Man who cares where that kid go he never played a single down at fsu . Coach Atkins is a good recruiter but he can't develop high school players are transfer OLinemens so why he didn't tell the truth about that situation to that kid 5 years worth of disappointment no nfl draft picks under his teaching
I am not even mad at Atkins. FSU needs to win now. Solomon would not be able contribute in 2025, so nothing is loss. Wish Atkins the best, and wish my noles get back on track in 2025.
Atkins single handily ruined FSU football, and all but destroyed Mike Norvell’s reputation and possibly his career. Yes, Atkins can recruit, but he Sucks at developing players. Good riddance! 👋
“Atkins became a friend” That’s part of the problem. Coaches (much like fathers) need to be authoritative figures first. Not friends. If friendship is built as a side effect, than great. But it can’t be “how” you coach. Yes the kids will like you for being their friend. But I promise they’ll like you a lot more; down the road. When you helped them achieve their dreams. Being their friend is the easy route. Being their coach is much harder.
Well Atkins was looking out for the young man…FSU was in lingo. The only issue that would’ve been shady is if he knew Herb Hand was coming and Atkins knew Herb hand was a good developer. Otherwise no foul. Thomas can always attempt to come back if doesn’t work out at LSU. We wish the best for both Atkins and Thomas…
This is actually sad and pathetic. Telling a kid he may be better off not coming here and he is the one responsible, for the most part. He scouted and signed all these guys out of high school just to run them off, in effect. It's the only explanation that makes sense. Or He never really scouted them at all. It was suspicious that those three rs frosh ol transferred out. But then we sign these other guys and end up with the worse ol in the country. It's arrogance combined with hubris topped off with a heaping helping of incompetence.
Logan they were not just shifting lineman from game to game but during the game as well. Which I know you know. From the beginning I never understood that. I have watched a lot of offenses in my day. I have learned a lot of offenses in my day. I have never seen teams rotate offensive lineman the way Atkins did. That does not breed continuity and working as a team.
I also hope strength and conditioning gets a hard look. The line on both sides of the ball looked VERY WEAK, this past year. Squat party is fun, but where was the endurance and upper body strength and hand strength
Par for the course...3 game suspension +plus historically bad losing season 2-10 so now he is fragging the rooster because he got fired for not doing jack-schitte for the past year. I'm thinking he was a cancer on the team and coaching staff
I agree with you, Warchant, NGD and other media that covers the Noles sold me on how great the OL, DL was superior in practice. I will not be believe anything until I see what is produced on the field next season. After the GT game, I really did not watch any games after that. It was too painful to see that trash that was displayed.
The problem was they weren't practicing against other teams. If you think about it, when both sides are terrible, they'll generally look good against each other. Warchant has been a joke for years. They plaster ads all over their videos and then have the gall to ask people to PAY to use their site. Absolute scvm.
Yeah but it ain't like LSU hired Atkins for anything!!!.. He's unemployed. If he's such hot shit.. why ain't a program hired his ass???.. I'm just wondering who's advising these teenagers. Frfr

If it was the top, the HC would have been fired too!!!
They aren’t loyal to us? Don’t be loyal to them. Ruin them. This is how we need to fight. The portal needs a strategy update.

Yeah the lack of development is disturbing. No NFL talent to the league for 5 years from FSU is unacceptable.
Atkins had way more respect than he ever earned
Wow. Well said!!

I’m not even gonna give him credit for recruiting. None of his players played
Let him go wish him luck but he never was a nole

FSU will be better with experienced transfer players. I don't stress over high school kids that decide to attend a different school.
AT ALL. GO NOLES!!
That's the problem, lack of solid HS recruiting. Portal should patch the roster not fill it.
Next man up
I’m not sure why this is an issue. This happens in recruiting every year.
Thats what coach herb said all oline coaches know each other

He'll be in the portal after next year.

Maybe Norvell should let the young men hit more during the week
I'm pretty sure that is going to change this spring.

@@jamesb0255 It was very strange and I was not a fan of it at all.
Adkins wasn’t going to develop him. We shouldn’t pay him a dang penny

Good luck kid
Meh if it was a 5* edge or QB or WR etc I'd be more upset we will be fine Atkins developed us back into the ground on the OL
He can always transfer back home, but he's not a Nole so who cares now, peace to him and atkins we on to the next chapter
He wasn't going to FSU anyway
But of luck to the young man.
Yeah it's ok. Alex Atkins was bitter cause he got fired
But that line was terrible. It's ok.
Meh, he wasn't going to FSU once Atkins waS fired. 2-10 probably didn't help either. I certainly would rather have him at LSU than UF.
Oh well.
Par for the course...3 game suspension +plus historically bad losing season 2-10 so now he is fragging the rooster because he got fired for not doing jack-schitte for the past year. I'm thinking he was a cancer on the team and coaching staff
You need ace recruiters
yeah no worries ill take hand -no pun and malz over fatkins going forward good luck to ya at lsu dude;;;;;;
He will come crawling back
Atkins and KC seem to be the same
Buy better players.
Who cares Adkins would have turned him to trash. All those boys on the O-line were trash.
Atkins could’ve left for a head coaching job last year when we went 13-0 . Some of the blame has to go on players
Who was offering?
On the HC too

Norvel should have kept Atkins on staff in another position. Strictly for recruiting.
Nah, none of those recruits panned out
Atkins should never have been hired. The OL is a joke and they rarely played better than HS players.
😂😂😂😂😂 he was overrated as a coach big-time never did anything at FSU no player development one bit
