Sir, Is the following answer is correct? Gene frequency in the mixed population after immigration has occurred(q1) is 0.42 And change of gene frequency (∆q) bought about by immigration is 0.02
Correct, 10% immigrants means m = 0.1. Frequency of a gene among native (before selection) is 0.4 i.e. qo = 0.4. And frequency of the same gene in migrants is 0.6 i.e. qm = 0.6. Now use these values in the formula of q1 and ∆q to get the answers.
