I'm 31 years old and have a full time job where I work 45-50 hours a week. I still look at toaster strudel as to expensive/high class for me... I have no idea why lol.
It's such a weird concept, but I'm your age and I get what you mean. The thing is, an 8-pack of Pop-Tarts is the same price as a 6-pack of Toaster Strudel. Maybe the prices were different in the 90s when that stigma started, but right now they're about the same. Also, Strawberry Cream Cheese Toaster Strudel are better than any Pop-Tart in existence.
45:39 Dammit Andy, I had to switch from Spotify to see this gag. Smh, no love for the audio listeners. 😔 ❤️❤️😂 I love you guys haha. Also, I love how at 0:06 you can see Andy IMMEDIATELY light up and working on the soundboard. 3:21
Nick's reaction at 1:04:37 😂😂😂, and no working class person has time to defrost a toaster strudel, preheat the oven at 350° then bake the strudel on the way to work at 7 in the morning after staying up all night with the kids
Growing up our apartments came with ovens, but not with toasters. Since toasters were an extra cost we ate toaster strudels since you could make them in the oven while pop tarts always came out weird in the provided microwave or in the oven
I grew up in the RGV pretty much the same age as Andy and if I have to say it, Andy did grow up in the nicer side of RGV than I did but he wasn't on the rich side of the RGV either lol
1:14:50. Funny you mention this because I was thinking the same thing with your In Review for The Rise of Skywalker...What the hell were they thinking???
I fall back to the old Easy Allies standard. For those not in the know when they would look at upcoming games EZA would pick the one they thot would be the best (Pop Tart) and the one they thot would bomb the hardest (Toaster Strudel) 😆
Tim comparing Pop Tarts to Panda Express and I’m sitting here in “Super Buffet” or “Golden Buffet” having never been to a Panda Express. That sounds like some Royal Family shit.
Dang, we rarely had even Pop Tarts as a kid lol, never had Toaster Strudels. The real question is, have these dudes had potted meat sandwiches? I feel like that's a better gauge of how well off you were haha!
Greg's logic = It costs roughly a dollar more for the same amount and I have to heat it up, so it much be for rich people. He must think oatmeal is breakfast caviar. Also fuck oatmeal. Great podcast, guys.
Home Run Inn pizzas recently came to Florida Publix's in the past 5 or so years, and instantly they became my favorite frozen pizza (and I eat way too much pizza so I can attest). I cannot stand for the other members of the crew to besmirch Home Run Inn
I 100% enjoy pop-tarts more than toaster strudel. If you asked me which one I wanted it would be pop-tarts every time. However, as someone who grew up poor, I think the toaster strudel is for rich kids argument is just proof that your parents just didn’t love you enough to get you toaster strudels. You’re telling me they couldn’t spare that extra $1? I’d be sitting them down right now and demanding answers.
I'd be a US 18 shoe size and I need to get my shoes online from specialist places... Got some nice Air Jordans, they're a godsend for people with bigger feet. I'm 6ft 5in by the way, not too tall but for some reason my feet just kept going...
Brown sugar cinnamon poptarts are THE BEST poptart there is. No competition. I will die on this hill with nick because you haters are WRONG. Also throw some smores in the freezer and go back to them an hour or two later. You're welcome ;)

You deserve being happy. You deserve a toaster strudel.
The soundboard got me every. Single. Time.
100 percent with Andy on the Toaster Strudels. They're the same damn price lmao
Toaster strudels are actually cheaper than pop tarts where I live
"As I've gotten older and wiser about time travel..."
Yeah they don't have Toaster Strudel or Pop Tarts in Australia, so the back-end of this podcast was very confusing.
This was a great episode. Had old school chaotic funny vibes.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch did a collab with Toaster Strudel recently, and it was sooo freaking good!
Turns out Splinter was just a rat who was fed red M&Ms lol
Growing up always thought the toaster strudel was for rich kids, we just had pop tarts growing up
0:06 The car lost its breaks.
my mom would say pop tarts bad for us but still get me toaster strudels and it still confuses me to this day 😂💀
Y'all are crazy. Warm, crispy pop tarts with ice cold milk is the fuckin' life to live.
The Toaster Strudel debate I never knew I needed. Quality stuff guys!
Haha I've had toaster strudels in my house a couple times and we were poor. Guess my Mom was just putting on a front lol
I rewound “the freshest croissant this side of La Paris” 14 times it’s the funniest thing I’ve ever seen love you greg
45:39 Dammit Andy, I had to switch from Spotify to see this gag. Smh, no love for the audio listeners. 😔

Nick adding his name to the Board really got me lmao
Chew more ice into the mic and I’m gonna come down to SF and see you in a different way Scarpino.
Growing up our apartments came with ovens, but not with toasters. Since toasters were an extra cost we ate toaster strudels since you could make them in the oven while pop tarts always came out weird in the provided microwave or in the oven
Looking at the title I thought this was a colab with easy allies.
Same 😂
I'm dying laughing that Old Greg from the mighty Boosh is a Greg Miller variant
Green apple pop tarts are a crime against humanity
I grew up in the RGV pretty much the same age as Andy and if I have to say it, Andy did grow up in the nicer side of RGV than I did but he wasn't on the rich side of the RGV either lol
That he did
I had a poor ass friend who always had toaster strudel growing up
KF had to pick up the pop tart v. toaster strudel nightmare since EZA dropped it
Kevin: A lot of people saying you’re old.
Nick continues speaking.
This had me cracking up.
just based on the title i can confirm - only my rich friends ever had toaster stroodles
I’m laughing my ass off imagining old Gregg holding a gun to baby Andy’s head. Lmao that’s fucked up.
I want you boys to know I attempted (and failed) the back bend as soon as you mentioned it
Low key I use to eat Toaster Strudels on a daily basis as a kid, never knew it was the 1% that ate them. Expensive as hell nowadays.
The website literally says the fake spills are to prank people. Kevin is on that high horse and he’s not coming down for nothing 😂
1:14:50. Funny you mention this because I was thinking the same thing with your In Review for The Rise of Skywalker...What the hell were they thinking???
Kevin’s vacuum lol
Man I love toaststrudels when my parents got it ever once and a while
Why not both?! Nailed it at the end...
Pop-Tarts: Cold
Toaster Strudel: Warm
I used to put certain pop-tarts in the freezer and ate them actually cold. Cookies and Cream or Cookie Dough slapped!
I would do the same thing as Andy with the toaster strudel icing packet
As a person born in 2000, I can say in the third grade my teacher started teaching cursive then stopped maybe a quarter of the way through
Andy hates the ketchup container because we are spoiled on Whataburger ketchup. Better packet, better taste, better consistency, better texture.
I fall back to the old Easy Allies standard. For those not in the know when they would look at upcoming games EZA would pick the one they thot would be the best (Pop Tart) and the one they thot would bomb the hardest (Toaster Strudel) 😆
I’m 6’8 and I still don’t think of myself as tall. The only time it enters my head is when I buy pants or when I smack my head on a doorway.
I don’t know if Toaster Strudel is the food of the rich, but time is money and ain’t no one got time to warm that shit in the morning.
strudels are so much better than pop tarts, also everyone sounds super lazy that they don't want to make them lol
a box of toaster strudel is like $4 guys. same price as eggo waffles, are those the food of the rich too? didn’t realize a toaster was luxurious
The fuck kinda high class breakfast food you buying? We were strictly a $2 waffles or poptarts family. If they weren't on sale we weren't eating!
I'm half joking.
Tim comparing Pop Tarts to Panda Express and I’m sitting here in “Super Buffet” or “Golden Buffet” having never been to a Panda Express. That sounds like some Royal Family shit.
20:42 As a fellow 6’5-er, I can attest that this is 100% true lol.
PF Chang’s was where we went for a more expensive dinner growing up lol. Tim AND Andy part of the bourgeoisie imo.
there is a place called "Squat and Gobble" that people dine at?
saying toaster stuedel is for the 1% is the same as saying that going to Applebee's is a fancy dinner out
Now I need a Clausen pickle.
I was a toaster strudel kid but to be fair I’m from Kansas
Dang, we rarely had even Pop Tarts as a kid lol, never had Toaster Strudels. The real question is, have these dudes had potted meat sandwiches? I feel like that's a better gauge of how well off you were haha!
Hilarious episode
andy cortez toaster strudel song stuck behind the patreon paywall is some elite royal familyesque bullshit
Greg's logic = It costs roughly a dollar more for the same amount and I have to heat it up, so it much be for rich people.
He must think oatmeal is breakfast caviar. Also fuck oatmeal. Great podcast, guys.

Boston Cream Pie Toaster Strudels, with the chocolate icing. Fucking God tier
toaster strudels are so much better than pop tarts. its not even close.
Now I’m worried I’m going to get speared whenever the studio tour goes down with the community.
Love and RESPECT
Chocolate chip poptarts are the best.
That chunk of podcast about american specific foods and chain restaurants was very confusing for me
Yah sure the pop tart is cheaper and more convenient but it’s definitely by 1000% higher quality. You’re comparing a Toyota to a Ferrari.
I 100% enjoy pop-tarts more than toaster strudel. If you asked me which one I wanted it would be pop-tarts every time. Pop-tarts or Toaster Strudel ?
Something something joke about Kirkland brand boxers covering my Kirkland brand nuts
what i thought pro clubs were universal lol
Finally lol I was laughing my ass off at this podcast. Fucking great 👍
Is a toaster strudel not just a pop tart for adults?
Did Andy not get an intro? How am I supposed to know who he is? Also I’m pretty sure he thought about not having an intro the whole episode.
Home run inn pizza is great
Cinnabon toaster strudel is 😜😜😜
The density of in-jokes in the first 30 minutes might be a new record
I mean, Toaster Strudel taste horrible anyway so anyone who didn't have them as a child was not missing out.
Toaster Strudels are much better than those nasty Pop Tarts
Brown sugar cinnamon poptarts are THE BEST poptart there is. No competition. I will die on this hill with nick because you haters are WRONG.
Also throw some smores in the freezer and go back to them an hour or two later. You're welcome ;)
I ALWAYS hated pop tarts, they all taste like gross nutrigrain bars, so I always like Toaster strudel waaaay better, Andy is right
Toaster Strudel is definitely not a thing in the UK, so Pop Tarts all the way!
Where is Andy's back bend?
Coke zero is dookie next to diet coke. It needed to be fixed
Greg voice "WHAT?"
I hear it...
No audio?
Nope
Restart it sounds on now
BADBOYBARRETT
Toaster strudels are way, way, way better than pop tarts. FACT
Pop Tarts are one of the Shittiest snacks ever made. You should feel bad for likeing them.
Pop Tarts are better cold just saying
They might be easy allies, but it shouldn't mean you can hijack their original ideas. Shame on you.
Toaster Strudels are fucking gross.
No one going to talk about how this is blatantly stolen from the Easy Allies?
