I was a teacher for 28 years, no regrets, even if i didn't get rich. Masaya ako, sobrang saya, seeing my, former students, most of them were doctors, dentists, lawyers and some are teachers. Everytime i see them, i feel rich and that is more than enough for me.
God sees into the heart... The professions we choose shall be our greatest achievements to get to heaven. Whenever I hear volunteer sya or social sciences or human resource development ang isang tao, that's one step to being a follower of our Lord God who came to us through Jesus - Teacher, Reformer, Challenger, Saviour, Healer! Not too many people want to tread this path. But it is noble and rewarding even if not monetarily rewarding. Yun LANG? Sahod ay ano Lang? Everyone will be born naked and die naked. Our souls are priceless, thus to teach souls to become good is priceless and it's not a "Yun Lang yun?" ! A Mentor, a Teacher is next to Godliness ! Next to Perfection !
Same with her, I wanted to pursue culinary but my mom told me, "ANO, PAGKATAPOS MONG MAGCULINARY, SAAN BAGSAK MO? KARINDERYA LANG." I was really hurt to what she had said. In the end I ended up taking BSED even though it's not really my dream. I am not talkative, I'm impatient, I am not good with explaining stuff and I hate standing in front of many people. I am more into craftmanship and cooking. So at first I told my mom that ok I will be taking BSED but majoring in MAPEH, knowing myself as a sports lover, kinda crafty and music lover. But then my mom said no. Dahil wala naman daw akong sports. So what is Taekwondo and badminton then? Isn't it a kind of sport? Then I told my mom how about HELE or TLE? Since I also love cooking, crocheting, sewing, carpentry, etc. But my mom also said NO because where the hell would it take you? It's not even in demand (take note, this was way back 2013 when I just graduated high school and K-12 was just starting and TLE is in demand). So in the end I wrote down BSED major in English, put down my ballpen, ran inside the bathroom and bawled until my eyes are swollen. Then 2015 came, my mom died. I decided not to continue education as it wasn't my dream job. I even contemplated. Then 2017, I enrolled in a vocational course in cookery and that fulfilled my satisfaction in cooking. And now I am planning to open up a business using my passion and love for cooking.
hi, I will not say "good luck" but instead, I hope that you will be a good cook and have your own place to work. not working under someone but someone working under you that will take you as one of his/her inspiration on growing to become a professional someday. God bless!
As a freshman, I am leaving this comment right here hoping that after 4 years of studying the same profession as hers, I will be able to be proud of myself just like her. I’ll strive to give my very best and not let other’s opinions get to me. This speech is such an inspiration that it made me cry. I’ll go back to this video on my graduation day and I pray that the once a young girl filled with hopes and aspirations who wrote this will be as happy and proud as she should be. Discipline, working hard in your chosen field of study and believing in yourself is a key to your dream.I will wait for your amazing speech,,Hindi ung "yon Lang" kundi ung "heto ang pangarap ko" 🤩
I can't help but tear up a little. My friends took Accountancy, Engineering, and Biology while i took Social Work. Many ppl from our circle describe my course as ' namimigay ng relief goods lang' . I have passion to serve ppl. Has the the passion to fight for children and women rights. I want to work under the family court but ppl only sees the course Social Work as 'lang'. I'll prove them wrong. There is no such word as 'lang' to describe my course or any other courses.
your course is one of the most noble courses. had i realized earlier that i also have a passion for service, i would have taken a similar course as yours. i'm glad i also took a path less taken so i could dream bigger for others. for the people! ✊🏼
I have worked as a Licensed Social Worker with DSWD-Quezon City Branch, but i retired as Chief Probation and Parole Officer 7 years ago. I thanked God for being such because as a Social Worker, we are just continuing the work of God here on earth. Let's love our profession no matter what.
Her ability to communicate a "simple" (to some) message through coherent thoughts on the truths of life. Walang LANG sa mundo nating ginagalawan. We are all equal-one of the best speeches.
Perfectly said! Not because I am an educator, but because it is indeed TRUE. "There is no superior profession, because there is no 'lang' profession" as well.
You better study statistics and wonder why choosing impractical courses in college has massive repercussions in terms of employability and growth. A doctor, lawyer, nurses, engineer can be an educator or teacher, but a teacher cannot do otherwise.
"Wag ka na lang mag-teacher." I relate so much to her story. People treat education students as dumb. Sabi nila madali lang naman daw kasi yung course natin kaya hindi deserve itaas yung sweldo.
@@uwustuffs2776 yup. I agree. I hate some of my teachers. I can't believe they're even one.

This beautiful young lady was able to keep her audience rapt during the entire speech. It was an excellently delivered speech. There's no "lang" in being an educator.
As a daughter of a teach, I'm embarrassed that this is how I think- belittling teachers and the others who works in the field of it. But now, my eyes had been opened. That being a teacher and pursuing education is not just a "LANG". TH-cam really recommended this to me for a good reason.
I also aspire to be a Doctor someday but who knew that it might change? I am also short-tempered- specially with kids. So I'd try my bestest best to chase for what I really wanted. :)
Perfectly delivered kabayan! Hindi na realize Ng marami, without the teachers, there will be no professionals. Teachers are our second parents, our most important educators And most of our time are spent with the teachers in our growing and learning years. Napaka noble Ng trabaho Ng mga teachers and never Kong nasabi na teacher Lang dahil Napaka laki Ng naihubog Ng pagkatao natin dahil sa ating mga teachers. To all the graduates, congratulations and well wishes sa inyong pagbuo Ng inyong mga pangarap para sa kinabukasan!
sinilip ko lang kasi nasa recommendations ko pero hindi ko na nabitawan. so inspiring! well deserved. congratulations young lady and to all the graduates 🥰
Im a doctor and I was raised in a family of teachers. My dad, my uncles, aunts and my grandmother. When I was in primary and secondary school and even in college, I was continually inspired by my mentors. Let us remember no profession will exist if there are no teachers around. I am forever grateful for them choosing to become mentors. It is really the noblest of all professions. No "lang" indeed.
I got teary eyed when I read your message here. I was also surrounded by teachers - my granny, my aunt and other Aunt. I learned a lot from then than to my family. It's from theirs - my loved ones - my relatives. R.I.P. to them. I missed them all so much🥺🥺🥺💓
I am a dropout student, but after I listened to her speech it motivates me, I wish i did not listen to the negative advices from people around me that results me to stop my dreams and results me a depression. I had full of regrets but still grateful for having this kind of opportunity to have this positive advice. Now I am so eager to work and sustain my needs. Fight lang para education!
You can still do it. Don't let yourself drown too much sa regrets. It's normal to be regretful but not too much. You can go beyond that. Sabi nga nila there's a rainbow after the storm
From the time that I started my education journey, BEED-ECE, I always hear from the people sorrounding that my course is a "lang" compared to my housemates who are "nursing". It hurts. But ,I entrust everything to God. I was almost not sent to take review for the board exam because it's only a "lang" compared to nursing. By grace of God...they changed their minds..and I was able to take. By another grace of God, I was sent to a teaching mission since 2014 until now...and earning money to provide that same community who said "lang" to my course. Glory and praise to God.
I believe in GODS PERFECT TIME.To all dreamers and aspiring TEACHERS kaya natin💪🙏☝️kakayanin natin this year is OUR YEAR.🙏
I literally cried watching and hearing your speech. I'm a public school teacher and now more proud of the profession I chose because of this speech..thank you for reminding me of my value as a teacher.
Same with my algebra prof ng 1st yr.
I am 42 years old when I finished Bachelor in Secondary Education (2020)and I am Proud . Because of pandemic we cannot be able to have our graduation but thank God because this june 24,2020 we will have face to face graduation. I as well as my Children are proud for me being a Teacher. I will graduate together with my eldest son which is also a Bachelor in Elementary Education graduate of batch 2020. All Glory be to God.
Sometimes, or rather often, we forget that teachers, educators, mentors, and professors are the one who nurtures us and our key instrument to attain the knowledge, competence, and wisdom we need through education, formal or informal, which helps us attain whatever profession or career we aim to achieve. Proud of my Mama for being a Super Teacher!!!!
As a designer, I agree. People tend to undervalue our work. They say “logo lang naman gagawin mo”, “icucut mo lang naman tong video”, “kukulayan mo lang to, ilalagay mo lang picture ko”. One time, I told my friend “Kung ‘lang’ lang pala yan, bakit di mo kayang gawin?”
I'm blessed to hear this speech and it's everything, now I'm on my 3rd year of being a College Student, taking Communication Arts/AB Communication. And for sure, I'll be back here not too long from now.
Update... Currently finishing my College life (Intern) and then after a month I'll be working in the path or workplace i passionately longed to be in. I'm a Comm Arts stud and this impactful speech ignite my spirit to impart my skills and efforts to serve our country even more.. Indeed the "lang/lamang should not be normalize...Instead, everyone should see the importance of our skills or profession" to someone who will read this... I am rooting on you! See you on top of your dreams. With love,
I am proud to hear this. I have the same sentiments. This goes to other professions who are are belittled by other people. I am happy to see young people like her who exactly knows where they stand. You are an inspiration to many people. May God bless you Mariyela and prosper you. The world needs more people like you.
youtube recommended this to me just right in time, as someone who has also set her mind to pursue the field of education this has immensely boosted my confidence and moral. motivated and moved me in extraordinary ways. i wholeheartedly agree to her and every single word she uttered. we should never let others have a say in our lives and selves. we should fight and stand up for what we believe in and love to do, never ever let someone else tell you your worth and what you wanna do with your life otherwise. you are your own main character, it's our life and our own dreams and goals. whichever path we wanna venture on, it's only us who fully knows our hardships and how much this means to us and how much we adore the career that we chose. every individual has their own beautiful meaning behind why they chose a particular career and this speech just summed up all the reasons why we must never look down on everyone's work and jobs. it's one's own choice and a beautiful outcome of one's hardwork. thank you for this exceptionally moving speech ms. mari hugo what an aspirational and inspirational person you are.
Very well said ms valediction u nailed it. every words u said is really inspiring to those who listened to ur speech.i finished listening to ur speech and i really admired ur words theres no lang in this world....good job and congratulations. Very inspiring speech.... god bless
This FEU Cum Laude really inspires me a lot. I am an incoming freshmen this coming August 15 and actually the "Jayvee Ayen" issue brought me here coming from tiktok. I can feel her eagerness and she's very articulate at the same time. This time, I am setting myself to graduate as Cum Laude. And I will go back here if I did it then. But if not, since college could never be easy, it's ok. Let God lead me the way. Graduated with flying colors is enough.
As an education major, I do agree a lot and I salute you Ma'am for this very inspirational speech. Thank u for speaking for a lot of people especially those in the field of education
A very inspiring speech. It's very lucky for a kid if you will be his/ her teacher. Hoping that, everybody will not treat teaching a very low salary job. We must remember that we are the producers of professionals. God bless you Mariyela 💕💪👍
Inspiring and relatable speech that I've heard so far. The fact that education plays a pivotal part in our lives and we should impart the value of giving importance and investing more in our teachers and students. As an inspiring English language teacher, I'm passionate about cultivating the minds of the young ones and help them grow and guide them in towards achieving their goals in life.
As a struggling college student, I'm leaving this comment 3-4 years from now to allow myself to look back on the days after years of pursuing the path I decided to take. I expect to find this comment on the day that I will graduate and make myself, as well as my family, proud of my achievements. I really hope that this changed and shifted course will take me to my life's dream.
Everyone in this world is a teacher in one way or another. Teaching and learning are part of our daily lives regardless of profession and education. Mabuhay ang mga guro sa ating bayan!
This is so inspiring, so unique speech. A contradictory, a cliche. I thought the description was just typographical error but it is true do not take "lang" for a profession that molds the future of our generation. Thank you to our beloved teachers. I am forever grateful for them.
There is no "lang" course whatever it is. Everyone is unique to like their unique chosen field of endeavor. Salary is not the only measure of its worth, but the feeling of fulfillment and sense of happiness in anything you do will not make any course you chose a "lang". Everyone has a value, and everything is important.
When I grow up, I want to be a voice actor (and an author of a book and maybe own a coffee shop). I've been doubting this because it doesn't feel as important as teachers, doctors, and even other proffessions! But this message, thank you. You've help me strive further and not feel pressured about what I want.
This was so inspirational, and it made me rethink the course I'll take for the coming years. I'm still a HS student but this really opened up my mind to change my point of view for having a job! It's NOT only about the "money", it's about your intention for that said job. Be it to help others, or to help yourself. This address shows that Teachers are something to be respected as they are the reason we're being professionals like them, THEY help us grow. Teachers are NOT something to be treated as "langs" because they try their best to HELP us with all they could to make us better. Teachers are something to look up for! Never, EVER look down on them.
Proud Masscomm graduate here! 😍💛 I will never forget our sleepless nights because of our film shootings, commercial, magazine making, newspaper making, developmental communication projects, radio script making, television presentation script, and theater play preparation during my college days. Walang "lang" sa pagiging Masscomm students namin. Heartwhelming speech! 💛
Well said. My father was very poor and didn’t finish grade school but requested his neighbor who was a teacher how to do simple arithmetic so that he can buy and sell goods. When he got married, he raised her 6 children to become a doctor, 2 pharmacists, accountants which help the future generations to be doctors, nurses, dentist, IT. I salute you and all the teachers out there!
Teaching is indeed the noblest of all professions. If I would be given a 2nd life, still I would choose teaching as my career. I am fulfilled, I am well paid coz I am living within my means. Bigger or smaller pay does not define our fulfillment, does not determine our happiness but it is our choice & the way we live that lead us to a happy & fulfilled life.
Correct ma'am, Contentment is the key. Even if you are rich, if not contented, you are poor.. Even if you are poor, if contented, you are rich... Everyone is unique.
This is indeed a misconception about taking education. It may sounds easy for those who's not planning taking that path but once you're in I'm telling you, you'll find yourself regretting saying or seeing the prospect that it will be a smooth way. I'm an aspiring english educator and it's almost indescribable to explain nor to elucidate how it's like a seemingly elusive endeavor. Education is a noble profession and as cliche as it may sound, there will be no other profession without the teachers. So saying that education is a more easier path, what an erroneous assumption that you'll be regretting at the end of the day. I'm writing this while struggling in this course. I hope I could be like her someday....
I am actually on the verge of giving up on my profession that I once have a great passion for. I lost my will. I failed to protect the fire of teaching in my heart and I feel so lost in the vast and dark forest of uncertainties. I lost track of my dreams and it's now flickering in doubts as I am still unsure what track to go anymore. But this speech, this speech makes me realize and look back to "Why I pursue education in the first place." I imagine myself in a teacher's uniform as I inspire other kids to dream and be not afraid of failing; failure is a part of success. And success is not a measurement of how many digits you'll earn in a month but by the happiness and fulfillment it brings to oneself. God bless, everyone! Keep dreaming and always ask God for a back-up whenever things go out of hand! Trust His will and timing too.
I do not take BSED, but I had taken classes alongside them. Y'all rock and I salute all of your efforts toward your chosen professions. Padayon to the present and future educators. 🥺🧡
SHS that about to graduate, I'll leave this here so I can watch this again after I graduate in college with my chosen field. This is now one of my motivator video And to Miss Hugo I salute you, and thank you for this inspiring speech.
Be it any kind of course, learning and fulfilling doesn't stop when you get your diploma and your first wage as a professional to your chosen field. One should expand it's capacity and ability, -educator to teach, -doctor to heal, -artist to create. Everyone can be a martial artist but not everyone can be a black belter without an effort and dedication and mastery. I always believe that everyone should AIM HIGH.
Oh what a coincidence. This popped up on my recos and my curiousity made me watched it. Recently last yr ive been in the same situation because my course, BA COMM was also labeled with “lang” by my best friend and it broke me for a while but I am okay now. Her speech right here is right, every profession is needed and valued ❤️
Well said. Studying education will never be a "LANG". Some might think that it's just easy but NO! You need a lot of dedication, patience, effort, and passion to be successful in this field. I will be forever proud to all the successful teachers who chose to help and teach children even if they are not compensated well. You are all an inspiration. ❤️
I couldn't agree more! This speech has inspired me so much!!! It opened my mind into broader perspectives. So glad this popped out in my yt recommendations.
My salute to you! You may have landed now in the field as teacher... Continue to be an inspiration to everyone... An additional brilliant teacher to the Education department!
This lady speaks well truly from her hear,t broad minded & possessing the value of positivity. She's a good example of the others..I salute for your strong determination to succeed congratulations! 👍✋
Teachers are the most important professionals if people would think correctly. Imagine contributing greatly to the people who are already successful. Walang mga matatagumpay na tao ngayon kung walang nagturo sa kanilang mga guro noon.
The important thing above all is that whatever field you choose, you enhance your skills and potentials to be of helped to the development of the community and our country. We have our own roles to play ....find your passion and inspiration to continue to become a more better and refined individuals.... and giving your best for His Glory.... Everything else will follow...God bless everyone.....
Na inspired ako sa speech. Nakarelate din po ako. Graduate po ako ngayon buwan na ito pero I very relate the word "LANG" madaming nag la lang sa Course kong BSHM Kasi luto luto lng ginawa namin at nag uubos Ng Pera sa walang kwentang luto luto lang. Pero I never estimate may course dahil maraming opportunity ang pwede iopen sa Amin. I choose their words to Inspired me para maging matatag ako sa sasabihin Ng ibang tao rather than I stand up and I continue the course that I choose. Para sa mga kapwa ko BSHM na minamaliit ang course natin Gawin nating inspiration ang lahat ng salitang "LANG" nila na Meron tayong maibubuga. ☺️
is it HM stands for hotel management? maganda yang course mo. luto luto "lang"? bakit may lang? eh management yan. kung baga sa pagnagnenegosyo ng mga hotels hinahanap nila yan course na yan. bakit? kasi andyan yung makakaavoid ng errors at pagkalugi ng isang negosyo.
As a second year BSED student .It really helped me a lot hearing those words of wisdom from her.I always tend to ask myself "Bakit nga ba Teacher lang ang kinuha ko,madami naman pagpipilian eii" ;it always haunts me everytime my friends, family ,and mere aquaintances started to inquire about my chosen program. To be a teacher is both an honor and responsibility. It's the "nobliest profession" ika nga. Do not let anybody to manipulate your perspective and decisions. Hence, always follow what your heart really desires... Be compassionate and Consistent. Padayon mga Ma'am and Sir ☝️
BRAVO!!!! BEST OF LUCK FOR YOUR FUTURE ENDEAVORS!!!! Your awesome speech speaks so loudly of how great a person you are. All of you are valuable to the society. May God's purpose happen on your chosen fields. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL YOU GRADUATES.
Excellent job , congratulations to you , you deserved to be the highest rank among the graduates.... Congratulations to all the graduates too..Go for your dreams nd aspirations in life...just one step more at you'll there ...so waste no time ...go for it just after this graduation of yours. Mabuhay.
I’m gonna leave this comment here, i’ll be back after 6 years being a degree holder, this speech is so inspirational to the student who want to persue what they want not what the other person’s opinions or suggestions. There’s nothing wrong in suggesting something but you should consider the feelings of the student because they are the one who study and suffer in learning in those coming years.
I loved English Literature and everything that revolves around Arts, then my family labeled me as “too emotional”, “too deep”, even my friends jokingly poked me consistently with “you’re too articulate” and worst “Oh pakinggan natin si Ms. Professor, ang daming alam” I took a course that I thought will ground me and forced into. In the end I wasn’t supported by my mom. In the end, I went spiral down in a dark abyss. But I’m an English teacher now, lo and behold, I prayed for this and God gave it to me. The salary isn’t much, but seeing kids learning and enjoying my class is enough reward.
God bless everyone.
for someone who’s struggling to pick between a hard medical course that i’m almost forced to take and continuing on a science course that i have genuine interest in, this was very inspirational to me. youtube’s algorithm is a pain in the ass, but i thank it this once, and of course her, for letting me hear words of encouragement.
I'm 39 years old right now, and I'm a first year college students taking up Bachelor in Elementary Education. it's nice to hear these words from these young lady . If ever someday I will graduate in my course , I will surely go back with my comment, and I will tell to my self, Eto Yung babae na sinabi ninyong Educ lang Ang kinuha .. padayon🙏🙏🙏
I took educ subjects at 37 and continue to finish my masters at 45. This second course opened a door for me to reach the United States and touch the lives of students on the other side of the world. Padayon!
Wow this remarks awakened my way of speaking to emphasize appreciation. Indeed we must not say not enough “lang” word in Filipino. It is underestimating people’s capacity in their chosen field. A job built with dignity and good reputation is ENOUGH to be proud of. We can be at our best of we choose our passion.
Wow..teachers..hanga ako sa katatagan, diligence, passion most especially the patience to those monsters we call students. This is one profession I know I can never do. Bow to them teachers.
Now ko lang siya napamood but i admire her a lot she is very articulate, a young with full of hope and dreams ,you are not a 'lang' young lady but you are a pride of your parents and all the people sorrounds you keep it up and congratulation
I'm a licensed professional elem teacher but working in BPO industry. And yes the main reason I had to do this is because of the salary. I remember your enthusiasm in impacting lives to my studenta when I was in 1st year college up to OJT. But now not anymore, I'm a breadwinner and in our Province there's like 100 of applicants and item is only one. I don't want to teach but I cried a lot watching this😭
I also never thought of being an educator. NEVER in my 22 years of living kasi I hate getting up early and sleeping late but I realized I wanna be an early childhood educator now.
tama walang "Lang " sa Taong may Aim and Dream to make it come True.. Congrats a Beautiful meaningful Speech indeed 👏👏👏. without Teachers there are no Other Courses, No medtechs, no Doctors, no Nurses .etc Congratulations to U who inculcated a true meaning of Knowledge to all.. Congrats and Thank U to all TEACHERS 😘 especially my Teachers .ALLAH swt ☝Bless🙏 U all 💕💖💚
5:03 I am a Jhs student who loves art, acting, and music. Hearing someone finally talking about people who major in arts in a positive light almost made me cry. I am motivated again, thank you Ate.
I'm a BSED-ENGLISH freshman here! This came up and pop up in a right time today for me to watch and be inspired by her words. I too will continue to strive and cherish each scars I'll get along the way, as hurtful might it gets-it is still a memory or yet a lesson for us to learn. I'll make sure to come back here when I finally get my degree and I'll make sure that I WILL AND YOU WILL.
Just stumbled into this after maybe 4-years? Brilliant minds and strong personality wrap this up. As the saying goes “ you can hear a pin drop” is true, an auditorium full of people ardently listening to you is awesome, aside from sporadic applause. She’s on point especially to the teachers, bravo teachers! I might not be a teacher by profession, but I know I had taught many in my field of choice. Way to go girl! A grand salute!
This i love most.Congratulations & Hope for the BEST for you...since then till you will be a stable professional.Congratz to all graduates!God be with you all.Glory & honor belongs to Him. You are so impressive Speaker! More Success!
As i promise that I'll be back again and with that with degree... finally this dreamer is now a degree holder, a Communication Arts graduate at the University of Mindanao class of 2023. Muchos gracias to this inspiring human who made me believe that there's no "lang" professions because we all have skills and abilities that we can use in adding solution or action to what the problem of our society is facing nowadays... forever be grateful for inspiring us all. "We are not just a lang because we are so much than that" this is what I've learned and appreciate about this speech.
My niece will be taking up English in college. I am sharing this with her. A very inspirational speech. HINDI KA LANG. YOU ARE EXCEPTIONAL. GOD BLESS YOU.
As a BSEd English student, I felt inspired and related to this so much. I heard some students from other colleges judge me as a student-teacher. They also used the word 'lang' Mag english teacher lang? etc. Education students always get insulted just because others think its just easy to become a teacher which is not the case. Why should I become a teacher when the salary is very low? why become a teacher only? I felt insulted and even become speechless sometimes but they don't know our struggles as students who also need to be respected in our choices of career. Thank you for this speech. I am able to recognize my own value as a student-teacher.
I was hook with her valedictory speech. It was very heart wrenching and inspiring one. Keep soaring high. Proud to be one of the "noblest profession" . 💜💜
I have high respect for teachers! ADD: Kahit kailan hindi ko naisip na mag look down sa mga teachers. Kasi kung ang isang tao ay isang guro. Mataas ang respeto na dapat ibigay sa kanila. Parehas ng respeto ng mga doktor at abogado.
This is definitely inspiring. I also major in English but it is more on linguistics. AB English Language Studies to be exact. But when I was young, I used to believe that taking up a course that will help my family financially is the best choice. But I also got lost after finishing junior high. I was pressured by my family so much that I felt anxious all the time, thinking of my future. BUT. I took the risk and chose HUMSS in senior high, and once again took a risk to enter a field that I am not so confident with, but I believed in myself. I am now in my third year as AB English Language student and I am still afraid of what lies ahead, but I will never regret pursuing this course even though my father thinks I have no big future in it. P.S. I am actually not that good in English and my vocabulary is limited, I am surprised myself that I got this far.
This kind of teacher is the hope of the nation,of the youth..more of this kind of teacher in our schools..we need techers who can transform the youth into a higher plane of intelligence and wisdom.
Was so shocked when I randomly saw the thumbnail and the name pagbukas ko ng YT kasi best friend ko 'to from kinder to lower elem! You're amazing and outstanding as always Ella! 💖 Your speech is so inspiring!
This is very emotional for that i almost cry... It's like someone is patting my back while saying "don't listen to what people may say... it's your life. And they're not the one who'll suffer if you choose the course that you dislike." That it is okay to choose anything as long as you're happy with it.😊
I also took the same course as her, studying BSED English, I also had receive questions like that even when I haven't even started. Some say "I should've taken this or that" but I always say to myself that I did choose this career for my self and not for them. What they said may affect my motivation to move forward even to the point that I even started doubting myself if I can still continue. but whenever I am losing motivation, I always remind myself as to why I am doing it and to what for. Needless to say, in the upcoming school year, I will become a second year and I knew that the upcoming years will not be as easy. Writing this to pledge to myself that I will finish this course, no matter how much I fail, no matter how long it takes. I swear, I will be finishing this and become the first in my family to graduate in college. 7/22/22
My mother is a retired teacher. And I am so proud of her. You cannot say my mother is a teacher “lang” because she was considered the best english teacher in our province. She was also the adviser of the school newspaper and won lots of awards from regional and national competition.
after this coming academic year, magiging college na ako. and then i found this. lately i've been really doubting myself, the skills and passion i have, kung itutuloy ko ba may kakahantungan ako or mapag-iwanan lang sa dulo? but this inspired me so much. ang hirap na ikaw mismo sa sarili mo nag p-pressure because you're afraid to fail or end up nowhere. i'll keep this video and rewatch it for the next couple years. it motivates me a lot.

it made me motivate to study more and to make my professors happy with what I or we will become in the future to be honest

I have passion to serve ppl. Has the the passion to fight for children and women rights. I want to work under the family court but ppl only sees the course Social Work as 'lang'. I'll prove them wrong. There is no such word as 'lang' to describe my course or any other courses.

youtube recommended this to me just right in time, as someone who has also set her mind to pursue the field of education this has immensely boosted my confidence and moral. motivated and moved me in extraordinary ways. i wholeheartedly agree to her and every single word she uttered. we should never let others have a say in our lives and selves. we should fight and stand up for what we believe in and love to do, never ever let someone else tell you your worth and what you wanna do with your life otherwise. you are your own main character, it's our life and our own dreams and goals. whichever path we wanna venture on, it's only us who fully knows our hardships and how much this means to us and how much we adore the career that we chose. every individual has their own beautiful meaning behind why they chose a particular career and this speech just summed up all the reasons why we must never look down on everyone's work and jobs. it's one's own choice and a beautiful outcome of one's hardwork. thank you for this exceptionally moving speech ms. mari hugo what an aspirational and inspirational person you are.

My mother is a teacher and i salute her because she is molding minds of little children.

Be it any kind of course, learning and fulfilling doesn't stop when you get your diploma and your first wage as a professional to your chosen field. I’m gonna leave this comment here, i’ll be back after 6 years being a degree holder, this speech is so inspirational to the student who want to persue what they want not what the other person’s opinions or suggestions. There’s nothing wrong in suggesting something but you should consider the feelings of the student because they are the one who study and suffer in learning in those coming years.
same(let's see) BS IN PSYCHOLOGY STUDENT here...Future Psychiatrist...HOPING!!!❤️
yeahhh right
I’ll eagerly wait for your come back hihi
I loved English Literature and everything that revolves around Arts, then my family labeled me as “too emotional”, “too deep”, even my friends jokingly poked me consistently with “you’re too articulate” and worst “Oh pakinggan natin si Ms. Professor, ang daming alam”
I took a course that I thought will ground me and forced into. In the end I wasn’t supported by my mom. In the end, I went spiral down in a dark abyss.
But I’m an English teacher now, lo and behold, I prayed for this and God gave it to me. The salary isn’t much, but seeing kids learning and enjoying my class is enough reward.
Proud of you, we never say "lang" for everyone has a unique personality.
God bless everyone.
Very inspiring speech, indeed. Congratulations! Keep on soaring high. Our Lord God will lead and guide you on your new journey of life. God bless you.
I salute you young woman. You are an inspiration to many.
for someone who’s struggling to pick between a hard medical course that i’m almost forced to take and continuing on a science course that i have genuine interest in, this was very inspirational to me.
youtube’s algorithm is a pain in the ass, but i thank it this once, and of course her, for letting me hear words of encouragement.
Padayon!
@@glendale858 wow ... Sana all na lang Po❤️
I don't want to teach but I cried a lot watching this😭
very inspiring! I can relate to her after 20 years at the age 40 I went back to school to pursue Early Childcare Education
I'm a BSED-ENGLISH freshman here! This came up and pop up in a right time today for me to watch and be inspired by her words. I too will continue to strive and cherish each scars I'll get along the way, as hurtful might it gets-it is still a memory or yet a lesson for us to learn.
I'll make sure to come back here when I finally get my degree and I'll make sure that I WILL AND YOU WILL.
ang makatapos ng college ay da best na kahit anong kurso pa yan,
galing ng speech nya, congratz all!
Sa totoo lang dapat ang teacher ang pinakamatalino sa lahat nang course kasi sila ang magtuturo sa mga bata hanggang college...yon ang dapat...
Same here sir.
Teacher is a noble profession and selfless job. To all teachers salamat po .
this is so timely. youtube recommend this for a reason. i needed this. you're just in time. thank you
You are so inspiring! I am emotional listening to your speech. You are real.
You will touch and influence many lives.
Keep it up. Cheers.
Was so shocked when I randomly saw the thumbnail and the name pagbukas ko ng YT kasi best friend ko 'to from kinder to lower elem!
You're amazing and outstanding as always Ella! 💖
Your speech is so inspiring!
Heya, Kate! I love you and I always will. 🌸💖

@@mariyelamgh I love you💖 so so proud of you! ✨

My mother is a retired teacher. And I am so proud of her. You cannot say my mother is a teacher “lang” because she was considered the best english teacher in our province. She was also the adviser of the school newspaper and won lots of awards from regional and national competition.
Thank you TH-cam for recommending this video. It really boost my confidence to take the course that i want.
after this coming academic year, magiging college na ako. and then i found this. lately i've been really doubting myself, the skills and passion i have, kung itutuloy ko ba may kakahantungan ako or mapag-iwanan lang sa dulo? but this inspired me so much. ang hirap na ikaw mismo sa sarili mo nag p-pressure because you're afraid to fail or end up nowhere. i'll keep this video and rewatch it for the next couple years. it motivates me a lot.
This is so powerful and inspiring. Thank you for this speech! ❤️
