I am grateful to find this video. Zhou Shen is my favorite music artist and he studied vocal singing in Ukraine. 9.29 is his birthday and I have taped the birthday greeting in Ukranian as part of our group gift to him. Thank you so much.
Hi thank you so much for this video! My best friend was born in Ukraine and I’m trying to learn some Ukrainian for her birthday in a few days. I’m struggling with rolling my R’s though, I’ve been trying for years and just can’t do it, do you think we will still be able to understand my Ukrainian if I don’t roll my R’s?
Anni Macca thank you for noticing! I just had to go for literal translations here in order to avoid confusion between вітаю (I greet) and бажаю (I wish).

We I was growing up in the Ukrainian Program at school we were taught....многая літа Or многая і благая літа. What’s the diff?
These are old expressions and they don't follow the modern rules. Многая літа means Many years, and многая і благая літа - many good years
Let's Learn Ukrainian Цікаво!
