Came for the kayak, stayed for the wonderful video, PNW splendor, and humor.. I genuinely laughed when Scott was 'rowing in tandem' at the end.. yep.. that's my sense of humor as well. Cheers to you both!
Y'all are hilarious and Tammy, you're a lot braver than I am with an inflatable kayak in water where you probably can't see the bottom! That looked like a lot of work but easier after reading the instructions. Go figure. Love the fashion show. I laughed out loud because you're so much like us but probably 20 years younger. We opted for a 12-ft Porta-Bote (hard, foldable, portable) boat. It fits in the basement of our Solitude and although easier for the two of us to handle, one person can manage the 80 lbs. Glad I found you as y'all are a hoot! "Hope" floats, yea!!
Hi Judy! So happy to connect with another solitude and kayak owner! Are you full timers too? I’m glad you got a kick out of us making a fool out of ourselves 😂 we looked at foldable kayaks too, but opted for this and now that we’ve put it together (the right way) it’s quick to set up and we’ve had some fun outings in it. Thank you for watching and I loved getting your comment! Safe travels and we hope to chat some more!

Hi my friend! Yep, Scott puts up with a lot 😂 I’ve gotten much better and less scared, well most of the time. It’s the getting in and out that’s the hardest 😂 thank you for watching us fumble through life! 🤗
Hi Tammy and Scott! I watched this video last night with Craig, but had to watch it again- so funny!! “Do we need a manual on how to use the pump?”🤣Thanks so much for sharing- it really made me laugh! I had to comment though on the PFDs… I am Safety Officer and teach how to (among other things) properly use PFDs at work. The inflatable ones need to be under 6 inches of water to go off, and can be damaged if hit on rocks (mostly a concern in swift water). And they go off VERY quickly and tend to end up close to the neck so they will turn you over and keep your head out of the water. So, yes- Scott WILL float! 😂Just thought I’d make you guys aware of that. We use them quite a bit in our small streams. It should work for you, just be sure to maintain the inflating mechanism and be aware that it goes off fast. Anyway, the kayak looks like tons of fun- enjoy!! 😄
Hi Shelley!!! I’m glad you found it funny!! It’s one of those videos you put out and hold your breath in 😬 thanks for the info on Scott’s pdf although that sounds frightening to me, I’m glad he will float lol. I’ll stick with my uncomfortable vest though. Loved seeing your comment come through! Thank you and can’t wait for the day we meet up!

Glad we made you laugh Ron! That was a great kayak! Unfortunately it got stolen and we’ve replaced it as you might notice in some other videos 😉. Thank you for watching!
Hi Joan! Nice to see you here! How are you? We are loving the kayak! There is a link to the exact one we bought below the video, but they have other types and sizes as well. Hugs
We had a blow up kayak, but my better half said she wanted to paddle her own, so now we have 2 that we lug around on the roof rack. It’s not so bad it just takes time to get them down and prep! As well as putting them back up, maybe 30 min but that probably takes as long to pump one up. You should have seen my wife’s face the first time she encountered alligator at Martin Dies SP in East Texas, she really enjoyed the adventure but I have a hard time getting her back out! The SP Ranger said there has never been an incident of alligator taking down a kayaker, just remember to stay 30 feet away! My question was do they know how far 30 feet is???
Hello!! It sounds like your set up is easier than ours! The alligator story is funny and you had me laughing at the 30ft rule 😂. We feel much more comfortable now around them. They don’t want much to do with us and we’re actually very skittish! Happy travels and kayaking and thank you for watching and sharing your fun story!
@@TilFurtherNotice agree, unless you are trolling for gaters with live bait gaters don’t really want to be around, they will go under, but then you don’t really know where they are.
I love you both!! 😊 this was a really relaxing video to watch. I am still debating the expedition elite or the convertible like yours… I live a pretty solitary life but sure would be cool to be able to bring a passenger kayaking with me
This video was awesome! You two are so funny and entertaining! Loved every moment! We are newbie Kayakers this season too, (we got the inflatable Aquaglide Navarro Tandem) and love it! I spy a Til Further Notice/JC Journey Pacific Northwest kayaking & birdwatching adventure coming soon! 😊 -Jody

Turns into a life raft🤣 Gasping is part of the adventure 😆 Good advice on reading the instruction manual 😂 We are over here dying!!!! We hope it floats lol!!!! They looks like some nice kayaks!!! Yay Hope floats!!! Awesome 🦅 You look like veteran kayakers 😝 😎
Hi Chuck and Cherie l! I’m happy my dumb moments can make you laugh 😂. It’s embarrassing to leave those in there but why not show everyone the real deal 😉 We are loving it and are getting better at it too 😂 Thanks for watching and I always look forward to your comments!
Hello! Yep, I feel like we went with the right brand. So far we are loving it and gave gotten much better at setting it up 😂 no getting soaked yet! 🤞 Thank you for watching!
Hi enjoyed your video. Whats it like for keeping clean, is there any chance of water getting in under the skin. Noticed there was a zip on the inside of the kayak thought that could be a possible entry
Hello! Thank you for watching and out! The hardest thing about this kayak was indeed drying it out with that skin! We loved the fit and function though! this kayak actually was stolen and so we replaced it with a different kind which isn't as agile, but is much easier to dry and much more comfy with the lifted seats, you can see that one here th-cam.com/video/zQ79PD9jVt0/w-d-xo.html
I thoroughly enjoyed this video, came up as I was researching this kayak as I'm looking at selling up myself.. and this one is available here in NZ. Subscribed :) (has the kayak held up well?)
Thank you! Nice to have you follow along! We loved it and it held up well until it was stolen (another video) we replaced it with this th-cam.com/video/zQ79PD9jVt0/w-d-xo.html Both are great in different ways! What a beautiful place you have to kayak! Enjoy every moment!
Can you store a dog below deck? Is the fabric breathable enough for dogs to be under there without suffocating or getting too hot? Does the convertible deck fabric keep you warm in colder weather? How well does it keep rain out?
Hello! We didn’t have this kayak long enough (got stolen) to try out a lot of different weather. I wouldn’t say there is enough room for a dog to tuck under unless it’s itty bitty. Ours laid between my feet. I’ve seen folks take these out in glacier waters so I can only assume they do well. You’ll see we’ve taken ours in the puget sound with no issues. Hope this helps
Just ran across your channel! We are thinking of purchasing this kayak, but noticed the leg room was tight. My wife is 5'3" and I am 5'11". Will leg room be an issue? How was the lumbar support? Great video!
Hello! Thank you! Leg room was ok, a bit tight for my 6’3 hubby. Actually this kayak got stolen and we replaced it with a different one with upright seats and more leg room 😉. You can see that one here th-cam.com/video/zQ79PD9jVt0/w-d-xo.html. Both are good in different ways but I love the comfort of the second one which does have better lumber support. This one was great to maneuver and lighter, but harder to dry out with that extra skin. Thank you for watching! Have fun with what ever you decide!
We loved it but it was stolen and we replaced it with a different one that we love even more. You can see it in some of our Florida videos on the waters 😉
@ sorry for the unfortunate incident.. (AE was stolen).. what are the disadvantages of AE? Coz i saw a lot videos promoting the AE? Was it nice doing tandem? and how about the new one what is that? thank you..
@ thanks! The only disadvantage was the moisture that collected between membrane and inner was hard to dry out when rving. We also chose to get this other one because it’s more roomy and has sit on top seats. Here’s the link to it if you want to check out this one. They are fun! th-cam.com/video/zQ79PD9jVt0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=OBBHk2e6w6EsxjFV
@@TilFurtherNotice it looks nice and have plenty leg room. Have you hear about Aqua Marina Tomahawk Air-C 480 3 Person Inflatable Drop-Stitch Kayak Canoe? They said it’s nice as well and has plenty leg room as well. Just check it if you have time. cheers!
You two are very entertaining and funny! How long does it take to prepare your Kayak for launch? We think you should have named your kayak "Bow", Like Beau. We actually just went kayaking on Yale Lake at Cougar, WA where we are workamping but the water was really choppy. Thanks for sharing your experiences! Chris and Barbara

Hello! That was a pain so we’d set it out to dry a bit before storing it. If you had a garage you could let it air dry! Our new one we have is a bit better as it doesn’t have the outer skin!
While the USA believes itself to lead the world, for pity's sake, you can't even get a cardboard box delivered to your home. LOL Interesting video by the way. Only into the vid a few minutes, very interested to see how reality compares to AE's advertising! Was just about to buy one but got put off them by the crazy cost (Covid profiteering) and lots of other issues highlighted by others. Not sure how much was kayaking snobbery of which there is a lot! Fingers crossed for you. Peace and love etc.🤞
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment! We are going to do a full review of our experience with it now that we’ve tested it out a lot more. But we are loving it. The hardest part about it is the after you kayak letting it dry out before you put it away. I suppose if you had a garage you could let it air dry in there, but with our full time RV life it’s a bit more challenging. Yes, these things are not in expensive, but compared to other cheap inflatables we’ve had I feel much more like I’m in a sturdy kayak that actually tracks great in the water. Anyway, there will be more adventures with it on our Vlog in the future! Hope you find the right one for you as it’s amazing the perspective you get from the water! Hope we don’t run into the kayak snobs 😂 take care!

I've been going through and watching your videos and this is the first one I had to comment on. You guys are hilarious. I just bought my first 5th wheel camper....not as nice as yours but it will do for me! Now I just need a truck like that (Love it!) I subscribed and look forward to watching more videos. Thank you for the great content!
Aww thank you so much!! It’s so nice to hear from our followers and get this feedback! Feel free to comment anytime 😉. Congrats on your new rv!! I hope you have many great adventures in it! Nice to connect, safe travels -Tammy
OK really enjoyed this video and after 😂 laughs, I will likely order this model and not the less expensive ones lol. I had a good laugh.
Glad we made you laugh Ron! That was a great kayak! Unfortunately it got stolen and we’ve replaced it as you might notice in some other videos 😉. Thank you for watching!
Thank you for sharing. I will search this brand for Austin!
@@MingoMoon exactly!
Do you have an inflatable kayak??!! We’d love to know your favorite (easy) kayaking spots so we can put it on our list too!
No, but we might have to put it on our list now! ❤️
I love you both!! 😊 this was a really relaxing video to watch. I am still debating the expedition elite or the convertible like yours… I live a pretty solitary life but sure would be cool to be able to bring a passenger kayaking with me
Thank you! We loved ours! This one ended getting stolen so we have an aqua glide now! Have fun kayaking!
😊 -Jody
Hi Jody!! Well I’m so happy you haven’t changed you opinions about going kayaking with us after watching this one 😂. Let’s make that adventure happen!! Can’t wait!
It’s embarrassing to leave those in there but why not show everyone the real deal 😉
We are loving it and are getting better at it too 😂
Thanks for watching and I always look forward to your comments!
You are just like me I would freak out when I thought we were going to tip over 🙄😆
Hi Penny! Glad I’m not alone in that 😂 thank you for watching 🤗
My wife and I had Sea Eagle Kayaks. Used them once, got soaked because they were so tippy and sold them for next to nothing. Never again!
Hello!
Yep, I feel like we went with the right brand. So far we are loving it and gave gotten much better at setting it up 😂 no getting soaked yet! 🤞
Thank you for watching!
@@TilFurtherNotice Thanks for the reply yes will check your video out. The drying bit does put me off a bit
I thoroughly enjoyed this video, came up as I was researching this kayak as I'm looking at selling up myself.. and this one is available here in NZ. Subscribed :) (has the kayak held up well?)
Thank you! Nice to have you follow along! We loved it and it held up well until it was stolen (another video) we replaced it with this
th-cam.com/video/zQ79PD9jVt0/w-d-xo.html
Both are great in different ways! What a beautiful place you have to kayak! Enjoy every moment!
@@TilFurtherNotice I shall, I'm certainly looking forward to it, so many places to explore :)
This is my dream Kayak. I hope i can have this one day but its too expensive. 😢😢😢🙏🙏🙏
Hi Chris and Barbara! Nice to have you here! I’m happy to hear we could entertain you with our ignorance 😂 I think Bow would have been better. I think she’ll be getting a Nick name! That way I’ll never forget 😉
I’ll have to look up that lake! Are you in an inflatable or hard sided?
Thank you so much for watching us fumble through rv life and we just love the comments! Happy kayaking!
@@TilFurtherNotice we borrowed the hard sided ones they have here at our job. We don't have one of our own but yours looks really nice.
@@MidLifeJourney it’s nice that they have them to use while you are there! How do you like work camping?
@@TilFurtherNotice we like it ok. Not particularly this job though. Does anyone like having to work? It's a way we can enjoy full time RVing and exploring the country until we can fully retire. Check out our workamping playlist on our channel.
@@MidLifeJourney true! I like enough work to give me purpose and the rest I’ll do without 😉
I’ll check out your videos! Have a safe and happy fourth and hopefully you won’t have to work too hard!
How's drying it off?
How much time it takes to fill up air ?
Looks like fun! Hope you see some whales (just not from the inside)
It was fun and we sure did from the safe distance of a boat 😉
You made a good choice with this kayak 🛶. My family I use it now for 15 years all around Europe with no quality issues. Great fun.
Hi! That’s great to hear! We are loving it! Thank you for watching and leaving your comment!
