During a 1969 tour of North America, Prince Philip joined "Meet the Press" and discussed the future of the British Monarchy. - บันเทิง
Prince Phillip was clearly more than a handsome face. A very intelligent and well informed, forward thinking gentleman. Just right for the beautiful, intelligent and wise queen Elizabeth II. And he enjoyed the music of the Beatles!
The Queen definitely married well.
Yep, he was a gentleman and he held his own. A man not to be mucked round. A real role model
Anal retentive
I think it was an Australian who described the Prince as a "Blokes Bloke" - an excellent description but also a father & companion
Philip was actually very driven and focused. He had choices, unlike the majority of men in his position and otherwise. He knew it was a business deal for life that he was getting into. I love how it turned out to be a love story as well. His dedication to the Crown and his family and of course, Queen Elizabeth II, was inspiring. You don't hear him complain about being a public figure much. He seemed very accepting of his role and dare say fate. He did mention being persecuted for being royal. But he never complained about being royal.
Редкое сочетание ума мужества воли благородства и мужской красоты..Неповторимый, незабываемый.
I just found this channel. I love the name ... subscribed
Thanks for this Programm.
Great footage. Thank you.
There you can see that age gap means nothing when music a great, Prince Philip loved and admired the Beatles! Can you say the same about today's Cesspool of what you'd call "music"? Grannies loved Elvis Presley because he was great!
The Queen loved the Beatles as well:)
Elvis and the Beatles ruined society.
Thank you.
This interview was controversial and landed Philip in a lot of hot water when it was rebroadcast in the UK a few days later. The problem starts at 12:25. The British press and British public at the time were outraged by Philip's whining about the royal finances on American TV. At the time the UK was in a deep, deep recession with high unemployment, so the public had no sympathy for Philip's polo ponies. The London newspapers raked Philip over the coles for these comments.
I remember this interview being depicted in "The Crown", although the writers insisted on adding a line where one interviewer stated "Forgive us ignorant Americans for not understanding this". A totally unnecessary swipe.
The Crown, Season 3 Episode 4
@@hutch1197In the Crown the say "has not had a pay raise in 15 years", when what was actually said was 18 years. They also omitted his accounting explanation of the difference between personal salaries and the institution's operating costs, and exaggerated the dialouge about the cut backs

The British press would have a fit if Prince William did this today…..

Prince Philip formed The Royal Academy of Engineering. raeng.org.uk/
The whole Royal family liked the Beatles, including the queen. Queen Elizabeth II even knighted Paul McCartney and had him play at the queen`s jubilee in both 2002, and in 2012. She also did favors for Paul like opening Paul McCartney`s Liverpool institure of performing arts in the 1990`s. And i`m not surprised that Prince Philip defended them when this stupid American interviewer tried to take the piss on the Beatles. Prince Philip admired their music and their success, and he also knew that they were the most important export from the British Isles since Rolls Royce or English football.
I agree with you except for the bit about the American reporter taking the piss. I think you’re being a bit harsh on him there.
Príncipe Philip e Harry muito parecidos, bonitos, inteligentes, charmosos e carismáticos.
@fernandasantiago3....Prince Philip yes..but not Harry in any way or form..hes an unpleasant member of the family unfortunately
Prince William is more like his grandfather
@@Flo1918William is nothing like Prince Philip. He's like King Chuck, though he doesn't look like him. Harry is Prince Philip's twin.
Prince William resemble him
No he doesn't. Harry looks exactly like Prince Philip.

It is well known and accepted that Philip was a well known racist.
The most notorious of his comments was made in 1986 during his first and only state visit to China. He met with British university students who were studying Mandarin in Xi'an, he is heard telling one of them: “By the time you go back home you'll have slitty eyes.”
I’d say he also had a hand in the murder of Diana Spencer, her boyfriend Dodi and their driver.
Spoken like a true idiot
As it turned out, Philip told that joke solely because Chinese students studying abroad were routinely told the inverse joke - that staying too long in the West would cause their eyes to go round.
