I love how every other actor in this movie just doesn’t give a crap about their own acting but Arnold is just surrendering to the madness of his role and just overacts like hell.
Arnie is such a treasure. He always looks like he’s having fun in this movie.

Arnold is probably the best reason to watch this film. It shows just how great an actor he really is because he can go from menacing to sympathetic and still feels like different sides of the same character. It's kinda sad because it shows what this movie could easily have been.
Arnold’s Iconic when he wears those Black Goggles when he’s flying out from his Rocket. 😂
Because it’s a family friendly/kids movie. Warner Bros wanted to make it non dark without jump scares

So someone who is very passionate and has a lot of money ends up buying in some auction or someone who have it and want to sell.

What exactly is wrong with this movie? Just because it was lighter doesn’t mean it was bad. Not everyone wants to watch a violent movie with people dying and jump scares. This is a Batman film you can watch with the family. People just want the film to suit the way they want and not target it’s target audience which in this case are younger viewers. I remember this film being extremely popular and people enjoyed it as much as Batman Forever and the other films before it

People say casting Arnold as Freeze was bad. I actually think he was a great Mr. Freeze. Just wish he had toned down on the ice puns though. Other than that, I like him.

i think he would be a really good freeze if he wasnt directed to play it like this. you really cant blame any of the actors/actresses in this movie because god knows what the director was telling them to do in this broken movie.
Exactly. His suit design wasn't that bad and he could've been the best Mr. Freeze, had the script not forced him into being "Cold Pun-Man" instead.
If you ask me, it would’ve been an excellent casting choice. This is the guy who played the fucking Terminator. Playing a character like Mr. Freeze isn’t too far off from that. But instead, he was way too over the top and made puns. Let’s get something straight. Mr. Freeze should not try to be funny. ESPECIALLY considering that they went with the “my wife was in an accident and I need to save her” backstory, rather than the original origin where he was a thief in a snow suit that stole money because he was greedy. The original origin might’ve worked with this interpretation. But once you add Nora into the picture, you pretty much have to go the “cold, cruel, unfeeling” route that Arnold Schwarzenegger would’ve been perfect for.

Still, it was real cinema, and I missed that the last two years.

I love how the villains are the best parts of almost every Batman movie. Riddler, Freeze, Joker, hamming it up to absolutely no end, chewing on every bit of scenery, making all the best jokes, having all the most memorable one-liners. Nothing is better than a villain who commits to the insanity.

I think regardless of what you think of this epic masterpiece of camp, you can’t deny how well shot, coloured and crafted everything is. It’s like a moving comic book panel and they absolutely nailed the look of everything on screen

Is it a terrible movie? Yes.
Is it also one of my all time genuine favourites? Also yes.
The only good thing about it is that this movie’s failure is what led to the success of the Dark Knight trilogy, which is still considered to be the trilogy that saved the Batman franchise after this one nearly killed it.

It's a very fun movie for sure.
I think the issue people had with this film was it was way to silly the ice puns were rediculous and the story was just lame that being said the amount of work they put into making the set if nothing else should be it’s only redeaming quality. But in all honesty for me going to see this as a 7 year old kid way back in 97 all that meant nothing but now as a 31 year old guy watching it again it’s a what was I thinking moment lol
I used to love it when I was a kid. Now seeing it I put my hand on my face. But it’s definitely not a boring movie. Some so bad it’s good moments for sure

I love the design of the movie, everything looks beautiful. But it doesn't take itself very seriously with all the puns and jokes. The look of this movie but with the seriousness of the dark night would be very awesome.
