The way you used the cinematography of this show is just art. I am so beyond happy you finally watched this show and loved them and VIDDED THEM, like we are all blessed. You always pick out the best parallels, like all the times wolfgang turns away and the slow build up of them getting closer and closer to each other at 2:00 is breathtaking and just is enhanced by the music you chose. You always inspire me so to even be mentioned in the description is overwhelming, thank you so much and just thank you for vidding them

i feel like i should be the one thanking you. i've returned to your 'what the water gave me' vid so many times, i cannot tell you. it's probably one of my favorite sense8 vids, if not one of my favorite videos ever. i'm really just a big fan of all your edits, to me you are a master of slow editing. so your feedback on this video is not only so flattering but so validating. thank you so much, i'm really glad to hear you've enjoyed this.

Before I start: i cant believe my simple video was in any way an inspiration for this piece of art, I am not worthy.
The way you use empty space is just amazing and showing how they had parts of their life that were blank and incomplete before they found each other.
The way you cut with Kala dancing with Rajan and Wolfgang seeing that and being hurt with them both singing on her bed and lost in each other wow no thank you.
The shot at 1:11 with the silhouette in the back had me SHOOK especially to end the cuts of him smoking/drinking by himself all his life.
The clips from 1:15 - 1:23 with 'the one you thought you could love' and Kala looking 'happy' but that fading when Rajan can't see her face and then the way you led into Wolfgang coming into her periphery, as he now always is, the awareness she now has of him always and THEN leading into them walking away from each other, feeling that pull they always have but feeling like they just CANT do anything about it gooooddd, that entire segment is ART
Then that voiceover of Kala talking about that exact pull they have and showing how no matter how much they try and fight it, that pull always bring them back to each other and then all the soft, gentle, lingering touches from like 2:18 to 2:27 and slowly slowly closing that distance with each cut and the music building I can't believe you've done this and then that sudden cut to them still STILL pulling away right at the last minute, still feeling like it's wrong and not allowed
And then you just build it all up again starting with those shots in the water and when the finally kiss in here at 2:55, the relief I feel is the same they probably feel every time they give in and then how now they're aware of each other but not ignoring it, actually turning TO the other, not ignoring that pull
(omg that shot at 3:23 of Kala is one of my faves from THAT scene and the way you used it here is PERFECTION) and then i love LOVE how you ended this, that abrupt jolt back to reality and back to the world without the other.
I truly am so in awe of this, this is genuinely one of the best videos I have seen for them and I love the way you built it up slowly, sensually and perfectly and I got lost in their world with them and I didn't realise until that jarring end that I was genuinely holding my breath the entire time.
Also, this song is BEAUTIFUL and PERFECT for them,

i'm sorry, i was upset at myself too, editing the dancing segment. it felt like self-inflicted pain.
ahh thank you, i was trying to sort of use that silhouette of kala at 1:11 to 'introduce' her segment with rajan that was meant to follow.
i really really love those scenes where wolfgang comes into her periphery like that so i was so glad to be able to use them in that way.
ahhh everything you said about the voice over choice, yes! i really wanted to make that voice over the foundation for this whole vid.
and that part of the song, in the middle, there's such a quiet intensity to it. a sort of slow-burning build up that i thought was perfect for exploring physical intimacy and proximity.
ahh i'm so glad you liked that choice at 3:23! i was so torn by what shots to use from that scene, because it is so beautiful in its entirety. but i just really love those shots of kala swaying her neck back.... to me they really capture a deep sort of sensuality, which was important to me because wolfkala's story is also very much a story of kala's sexual awakening.
and i wanted the ending to feel very sudden and jarring, almost like waking from a dream.
god, i am always so stunned by how insightful your comments are. you just. get it. and it is so rewarding for me to read because it feels like my ideas were successful. and i put a lot of thought into this video.

also to reply to your edit, i am very happy with how that part turned out as well (the kissing parallels). i genuinely feel like this is one of my best videos so to be rewarded with such amazing feedback from you, you who inspired me so much with your wolfkala video in the first place, it really means a lot.

i'm rewatching sense8 and needed to revisit this masterpiece, i miss them so much
i'm sobbing, I just finished Sense8 yesterday, I relate the description so much, and I'm so heartbroken there won't be a season 3. anyway, this just left me speechless, one of the most emotional videos i've seen so far. The end was particulary powerful. And I love these two so much, they are probably my favorite couple in this show, thank you for making this, just made my day better ♥

I absolutely love what you did with this song, this pairing, and this show. They all complement your editing so so well, and I am so happy that you stuck with it even though it was difficult to work with after the heartbreaking news about the show being cancelled.
When the vid finished the first time I watched it (I just watched it several times in a row...), I kind of just sat there with my mouth open bc I was so mesmerised and transfixed. Like... your use of voiceovers, the pacing and build up to the end of the video, the entire ~flow~ of the video (much like water, u could say), your use of parallels within their relationship, just.... everything.
Also I loved the way you played with and explored the different space that they inhabit and how they move in and out of it around one another, and the way that the push and the pull of their love for one another affects this (which as you know is v important to us both when editing, aaand which is with Sense8 in particular even more powerful in terms of editing).
I love the way you focused on Kala trying (and failing) to resist her attraction to Wolfgang and the impact that this intense longing has upon Wolfgang during the first half of the vid, compared to the beautiful sequences of them coming together (and again withdrawing in turn) in the second half. I often think that the ebb and flow of Kala and Wolfgang's dynamic is much like a body of water or a shoreline, where each returning wave becomes stronger than the one that preceded it.... and I really think this is something that's reflected throughout this vid with the way you explored the "gravitational pull" between them, and it made for such a powerful and intense build up throughout the vid towards the final act when they finally came together without restraint after such a long build up (gah, why one earth was this show cancelled?!! Why will we never get to see more of these two together?!).
And even little moments like your use of the shot at 1:04, the cut to black at 1:13, the quick transition/use of Kala's expression at 1:42, the use of the shots of Kala touching the wall/memorial at 2:03ish, the contemplative face touching montage working into a kissing montage from 2:46-3:04 (a classic!!!!! iconic!!!!), also then the way you ended the vid!!!! with Wolfgang snapping out of this dream like state!!!! I'm dead!!!! were all so powerful. The end of the video mirrored my own response to the video tbh - trying to make sense of the beautiful thing that I had just witnessed.
I'm really sorry that I've rambled in this comment. I've been so excited to watch this vid properly ever since you uploaded and see what you did with this show, and I subsequently have a lot of feels right now.
Long story short, what a perfect tribute to these two. I completely understand if you feel like you can't make any more Sense8 vids given the cancellation, but if you do find the inspiration to work with it again I honestly cannot wait to see what else you come up with.

i love the connection you made between the flow of the video and water! i wasn't even consciously thinking about that while making this.
sense8 is sort of already a parallel vidder's dream, and because all the parallels have a greater significance in the show, maintaining that style of editing was super important to me.
i agree completely about the ebb and flow of their connection.. i'm so glad you think i was able to capture that!

the video that introduced me to sense8!! although i only watched the first 30 seconds when you first posted it as i didn't wanna see any spoilers. i've finished watching both seasons today so i've finally come back to watch the whole thing and boy is this mesmerizing. the song fits them perfectly!! i cant believe they were about to meet eachother before wolfgang got taken... couldn't that have happened like a day later?? im so bitter. hope you wont give up on vidding this show! this was honestly amazing, as always 💛

I had always intended to watch this show before it was sadly cancelled, and I still might just to spite netflix for cancelling good shows (I'm still bitter about The Get Down tbh) whilst they continue to invest in shows that I just don't want to watch.
I've heard only good things about Sense8. I've watched a few edits in the past and have been particularly intrigued by this pairing, but your video is something else.
It was truly captivating as usual. I'm on edge of my seat! And you really pulled off the 'can I, can't I' vibe that you were going for. Plus the song was to die for! This just seems like such a beautiful, melancholy love story.
I'll be adding this show to my list of ones to watch now that SKAM is over!

No, not at all. I think the colouring was done perfectly; and that really means a lot because it gives a sort of continuity and flow to the video, which is much tougher to achieve than it seems.
