man it was 2003 when I figured out how to glitch the parental controls time limit on AOL and listen to videos like this while getting extra time on Runescape😂 miss those days
Because he's a talented musician who gives a shit, he practices rudiments and sticking and is always trying to better himself (and he has, he's so much better now then he used to). The other guys just rely on bravado and don't really give a shit about their craft, they care more about songwriting I guess (all though I'd beg to differ since California is a huge step back in songwriting).
Tone Caldas Literally everything about is dreadful. Tom is completely out of tune, marks 'I'm feeling this' is the most unconvincing thing I've ever heard, his transition into his vocals is about half a beat off, the last two lines Tom sings sounds like a cat being fucked in the ass; but some how, it's still great.
This place was never the same again after you came and went How could you say you meant anything different To anyone standing alone on the street With a cigarette on the first night we met Look to the past and remember and smile And maybe tonight I can breathe for awhile I'm not in the scene I think I'm falling asleep But then all that it means is I'll always be dreaming of you... Fckn Lov' it!!!
Best band Ever, Best band Ever, Best band Ever, Best band Ever, Best band Ever. I can't stop listening to them. No matter what mp3 player it is. They are in it.
they do suck live..but that's just part of blink. they are who they are, and people love it. hate all you want, but shit i know i for one wouldn't be as big a fan if they began to be perfect live. it's different, shitty, but different, and i absolutely love it.
Yeah drink and have a good time at a concert with the band, if you want to listen to exact recreations of the songs just play the album with some headphones >_>
kjhn I COMPLETELY DISAGREE. *Their performances prior to 2003 were awesome and sounded great!* After 2003, they started sounding bad especially after the reunite
That’s true, but the baffling part is that I have seen a few Blink performances where they are ultra tight. Their cover of “A Letter to Elise” comes to mind. Mark is a little out of tune vocally, but other than that, it’s a pretty flawlessly tight performance. It makes me think that they actually rehearsed for that one because they wanted to impress Robert Smith.
Everyone is talking so much shit, but this is one of my favorite performances. Wembly 04 right before their hiatus being my top. *They played with a burning fast hatred for each other.*
@@oscar18034 I mean how? They don’t talk on stage and they seem far from thrilled. Do you play an instrument? When I’m in a mood I play much more vigorously. Like they do at those final shows. I’m not saying they didn’t intend to play fast, which I very much enjoy, I’m saying they definitely displayed signs of being very emotionally charged. They weren’t playing like this often at this point. I’ve looked at everything Blink related and I have never seen them explain these shows where they seemed pissed and angry.
So many people complain about the vocals all the fucking time. Who gives a shit!? I just wanna see my favourite band perform, and since when has punk rock ever needed good vocals, especially crappy punk rock.
This album is a masterpiece in pop punk!! One of the best albums of the decade! :-D Even though it's my least favorite of their albums, I still think it's incredible :D!
We are proud of Tom. We haven’t told him everything yet and we never will. We inform him just enough to stay interested, but never enough to know everything.
this is a hundred times better than the tom sounds today. 99% of people says its the age blah blah that's catching up with his voice now i say its bs. his voice now is either 1) by choice or 2) damaged. no one sounds like that growing up he sounds like he's purposely destroying the whole song whenever he sings. this coming from someone whose being a diehard blink fan for the last decade x)
I dont know why everyone says they suck live, they're not great, but when you go to see them they create an atmosphere that most bands don't, so it makes up for it(:
Thank you so much for 'cutting him some slack".. "him" being Tom Delonge.. a professional guitarist in an extremely successful band.. i'd love to see the exceptional talent you have :)
After hearing Tom out of key, I think I am getting less scared of the idea of saying screw it and recording the songs I write with my own scratch vocals
this was terrible recording, the mixes were off the room sounds flat and dull it's not the band's fault at all. needed more reverb and a natural open room mic. it's the same thing as recording in a isolation box in a fridge. I hope the engineer was fired for this
how come all of their llive performances like twice as fast as the studio versions lol i can understand being a few beats off but damn the song is fking over before i can even enjoy it most of the time
Tom's voice did. It may have to do with him wanting to mature his singing style, or after his painkiller addiction but there has definitely been a change in his voice from the pre- AVA era to now.
I knew they were bad live but fuck me,I've heard school talent show bands with zero talent sound better then this. The studio engineers who work with blink should be given a life time achievement award for consistently making these sound way better than they actually are
I love how simple the "punk" style was back in the late '90s / early '00s. I mean yeah Tom has a lip ring and Travis has a mohawk, but still. Tom is wearing just a plain long sleeve shirt and Mark has a tshirt and kind of shorts on. It doesn't look like Hot Topic threw up on them. Can I please just have this back?
Yeah, it came from the skateboard culture mixed with punk, makes this really cool non-chalant look, I grew up with it(it’s gone now I think sadly). It worked so well for blink at this time, no was cooler than Tom to me growing up.
Watched this so many times in 144p back in 2003 on my AOL browser while playing games on my dial-up internet. So many memories.
same
Same here
Hope you are all are doing amazing!
man it was 2003 when I figured out how to glitch the parental controls time limit on AOL and listen to videos like this while getting extra time on Runescape😂 miss those days
Why is travis good no mater what
cause he's not singing :p
Bayu Perdana True
Suface OuterSpace cause Travis does great on drums

R A T C H E T and he did push Tom and marks creativity challenging them to do even better.
they’re so bad live yet so good ❤️
so raw. so beautiful
Theyre so bad live. I love it.
they were so bad that was perfect to listen to
tom is so incredibly bad at singing this song
Bad? What are you talking about.
Tone Caldas Literally everything about is dreadful. Tom is completely out of tune, marks 'I'm feeling this' is the most unconvincing thing I've ever heard, his transition into his vocals is about half a beat off, the last two lines Tom sings sounds like a cat being fucked in the ass; but some how, it's still great.
yeah that live is so crap :D the Studio version is much better:D
I love Tom's hair.
Me Too
I have it now, just without the black
He stared the emo hair look
Wahyu Okta I LOVE TOM... XD
@@barfkat05same
For those of you who don't know, Mark Hoppus says "Feeling that!" Instead of "Feeling this" to prove that it is not recorded. Pretty cool.
im pretty sure he doesnt need to do that to know its not recorded lmfao
This place was never the same again after you came and went

I can't stop listening to them.

1:03 "Show me the bedroom flaaah"
I honestly don't think this sounds that bad, especially for the time it was recorded at. Aside from that, Mark's yellow bass looks badass.
1:24 this part is so catchy
This actually sounds more punk than the studio version lol
punk ??????' how the fuck can you call this punk
Brandon Johnson that's not punk, don't get me wrong, i'm not saying that is shit, i like blink 182 is just that they are not punk
Yes they are. Punk is a very broad genre.
+Connor Fin yes ur right
This isn't punk. Wire, Joy DIvision, Husker Du, Minutemen, Fugazi, Bad Brains. THAT is punk.
why is it every time i see a bad blink performance i love them even more lol
tom fucked up the lyrics but i still love him omfg haha
I'm in the minority here I guess but I loved this. I've loved them since I found them in the early 2000's.
They sound terrible live in this recording but I'm feeling it 😏
they do suck live..but that's just part of blink. they are who they are, and people love it. hate all you want, but shit i know i for one wouldn't be as big a fan if they began to be perfect live. it's different, shitty, but different, and i absolutely love it.

It adds to their character, image and personality, which is something most bands lack

incorrect. they didn’t play fast because they hated each other. that has been disproven a million times. they played fast becuase they enjoyed it.
They have done way better performances than them. I will admit they are pretty good but big day out 2000 or Daytona beach is my personal favorite.

@@oscar18034didn’t Mark literally say somewhere that they played fast to get through the shows faster
That's probably the first commercial before a video that I've actually been able to watch all the way through and enjoy it. Blink-182 rule! :D
they do suck, but that's the magic about them (:
fucking terrible........I LOVE IT!!!
Man I love these AOL Sessions 🤘🤘
I agree with you man! People just always the lead guitarist the most credit. But all 3 of these guys are killing it!
So many people complain about the vocals all the fucking time. Who gives a shit!? I just wanna see my favourite band perform, and since when has punk rock ever needed good vocals, especially crappy punk rock.

Love how they censored "We're taking this way too slow"
Tom messed up the lyrics and said started to sing "fuck it, it's such a blur" so they had no choice.
they were so better live before 2000
but this is actually the best feeling this performance I've found
I would pay good money for that bass
I love this performance of feeling this
Words can't describe how much I love this song & Tom Delonge.
To be honest I dont understand how people think they sound terrible live. I love the sound of Blink 182 Live. Toms voice is badass.
2:23 literally has me holding my stomach from laughter
ARE WE *A* L O N E
Чертовски люблю эту группу!
"Place your hand in mine I'll leave marijuana."
Hhahahahahahahahahshshahahahahahhahaahhahshsshhshahah
Brilliant man
Tom’s voice is really really deep here but still quite high pitched and Mark’s voice isn’t aged ever
mark sounds sooo good
0:48 “I’ll leew wenna wanna” -Tom DeLonge
so deep
Me thinking about Mark's bass in this version on the song: I'm not feeling this
We are proud of Tom. We haven’t told him everything yet and we never will. We inform him just enough to stay interested, but never enough to know everything.
Their AOL session performance of their song Go was so much better.

HELL YEA A DAY TO REMEMBER AND BLINK-182!!
Me gustó mucho esta versión. AGUANTE BLINK LPM!!
I dont know why everyone says they suck live, they're not great, but when you go to see them they create an atmosphere that most bands don't, so it makes up for it(:
tom sings like his throat is full of razors
I don't see why you guys say this is bad. This is sooo much better than most of their other performances.
Guys remember they were still getting used to performing live at that time these songs were new
Dude! AOL throw back for reals!! This was available on then time Warner on demand back in the day.
I always prefer the recorded versions better, because they're in tune. but the live experience beats all
Thanks to you I had a fabulous high school, I studied memories from 2002, 2003
1:09 LOL! wrong line. He says that in the first verse.
perfection in music.
they’re good live when they want to be.
Thank you so much for 'cutting him some slack".. "him" being Tom Delonge.. a professional guitarist in an extremely successful band.. i'd love to see the exceptional talent you have :)
QUE SAUDADES CARA !!!
I love this for how raw it is. Seems no one else is into this raw sound xd
After hearing Tom out of key, I think I am getting less scared of the idea of saying screw it and recording the songs I write with my own scratch vocals
a love this song in aol, i heard this all the time
I can't hear the bass...and Tom's guitar sounds like ass in this session. Even the drums sound fairly muted...
it's a mixing problem
I heard the bass well
Yeah. I feel the same, they verse is flat without bass
best advertisment ive yet to see!
smiling from ea to ea
breathing has gone too laoh
show me the badroom flah
show me the bathroo mirr
fuck it is sush a bluah
tom guitar skills is incredible
Tom was so hot ten years ago *-*
Please, bring me back to that time of my life
I loe it when mark and TOm sing in harmony together, they should do it more
Best punk cover of the song, those kids will go far !
this was terrible recording, the mixes were off the room sounds flat and dull it's not the band's fault at all. needed more reverb and a natural open room mic. it's the same thing as recording in a isolation box in a fridge. I hope the engineer was fired for this
TDIZZLEFASHIZZLE it sounds like a garage band sound which is a little cool
I totally agree. I mean, raw live is okay sometimes. But this sounded way tooo awkward. Yep, the sound engineer fucked their shit up.
It is mixed horribly, but delonge sounds like he is literally just speaking gibberish. There is no excuse for that
@Marco Polo the punk thing at all. punk musicians arent meant to be virtuosos
I think the lack of effort is signature to blink and the genre in general live lol
How I love this
travis always has been the one carrying blink
My favorite blink song and I see this performance was on the exact day I was born 😳
That..bass..guitar...damn fucking wow!
the take on the end - this must be the first time that Travis actually smiled!
how come all of their llive performances like twice as fast as the studio versions lol i can understand being a few beats off but damn the song is fking over before i can even enjoy it most of the time
Lollll
I guess this was National Double Tempo Day!
2:23 what is happening?! hahaha
i love dis song!!!
The TRL live version is the best version of this song
thanks
The drummer spoke the bassist won, mark’s the best live
this is awful like every performance but that's blink still a awesome band!!
I love this
Where can I get that bass in that color!?!?!?!
Punk rock isn't about sounding perfect. It's all about the energy.
Bad live ever but I love it too bad
PopPunksNotDead ☆ blink 182 😉 4ever 🤙
@BurnAfterEating he proably said "we're fucking so slow" in the live version
love it how travis is rocking on his own at the background
i want toms fucking Epiphone arch back! such a cool guitar!
its a gibson es 333-335 ;)
LPLarsand Go gibsonES 335
nexcex juan rodriguez no 333
i imagine she was talking about tom's "epiphone signature tom delonge ES-333"
kayin williamson yes that is what i was talking about. it looks like a great model. and by the way i'm a guy ._.
wow, back then... this is SO awesome =D
they played everything so fast back then. sounds better in 2013.
bring this baaack!
Calm down Travis.
Tom's voice did. It may have to do with him wanting to mature his singing style, or after his painkiller addiction but there has definitely been a change in his voice from the pre- AVA era to now.

kaleigh kavan yep but tom has a unique voice

Have my babies blink
Im more of a mark kind of guy .staying with the beat
Mark is best at syncing with the beat but i love them both
to be fair i play both bass and guitar and its definitely a lot easier to sing while playing bass.
Travis and Neal Peart are the two best drummers I've ever seen play live. I am having a hard time deciding who I like more.
