WHAT WILL HEAVEN LOOK LIKE?

- As we open to II Peter 3, think about the greatest day of our lives. That will be the day we each get to stand before the Lord Jesus Christ-and kneel in front of the One who loved us so much that He came and took our sins upon Himself, died in our place on the Cross, and freely gave us His forgiveness, cleansing, and salvation.
Just think of what a moment that will be! An instant after our last breath, to be taken by the hand of Jesus, as He leads us past the marshaled ranks of the angels, along the golden boulevards of glory, up past the cherubim and the seraphim, up, up to the throne of God Himself; and then to hear the Lord Jesus call you by your name and present you in person as His well-beloved!
Then to hear the Father say, "Bring the best robe and put it on him.” Just think of it, a robe of white, bright as the day, pure as the light! When the Lord Jesus was transfigured on the mount, something happened not only to His countenance, something happened also to His clothes. His raiment became white as the light.
What a reward for faithfulness, to have a robe like that draped around the shoulders and to be invited to walk the shining ways of glory in light transfigured clothes.
The greatest, richest, most powerful of all of history on this planet was not arrayed like one of these. Just think of that!
If we really think about that moment long enough, we realize that all that matters is one thing--what happens at that moment when we stand before Jesus Christ.
Peter’s Question
Peter who had followed Jesus since he was a young fisherman must have thought for a long time about that moment. At the end of his life, we can still hear the voice of that wizened old fisherman, with a glowing heart of hope and joy--named Peter. He is speaking to us by the power of God’s Spirit.
2 Peter 3:10-11 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
In the not too distant future, God is going to invade His world. Last time He did it disguised as a baby, and He died a sacrificial death for the sin of the world. This time He is not going to hide. That invasion is called Christ's Second Coming. At Christ's return everyone will be seen for what they really were.

I can’t wait to see the heavenly face of Jesus and our almighty father. That day is going to be our most glorified day. I’m sure it’s just going to blow all of our minds of things we couldn’t even imagine. What a day that will be. Thank you Lord!!
I have seen Him face to face. And, I have seen the banquet in Heaven with Jesus at the head table.

@@gregoryparkins1121 I saw Him in person on street in a California town. My wife was with me. We had just had a death in the family of a small child that had drowned. I told God in my heart, 'you dont care about us to let this happen'. After the funeral we went to a resort town to try to deal with our grief. Long story short, He and another being appeared to us as we came out of a store. I thought they were angels and dealt with them in that manner: Hebrews 13. But, I found that I could not think or speak well. My wife said I was babbling. Ultimately I gave up trying to talk and looked into His face. Blue eyes, tall, and smiling at me. Never said a word except when He first walked up. Then, our heads bowed of their own accord. I was thinking why is my head bowing? Her's did to. All was quiet. No people or cars on otherwise busy street. Then, it was over. I tried to look back to see if they were still there and had an overwhelming feeling not to turn around. We had lost time, about 1 hours. Long story short, I prayed about it when I realized Who it was. I then had a dream. In the dream I was at a huge banquet. I saw Jesus at the head table. I walked up to Him and asked Him if that was He. He shook His head 'yes'. I said that all I need to know. Then, the dream was over. I believe it was the archangel Michael with Him. They were dressed in contemporary clothes, but their shirts had palm trees on them. The prior sunday had been palm sunday.
Thank you Doctor Burnett I just Praise the Lord for the preachers of today that are teaching the word so accurately. They are a minority. It's a sign of the last time.
The greatest thing about heaven is we will feel Jesus Christ’s love. When I felt it, it was like a warm blanket all around and you felt it the most in the heart ❤️ but the greatest thing was that it was just a little bit. It goes on forever. If I felt too much I would not want to be here for a second longer

I look forward that there will be no more sin. This wretched body I drag around with me all day.
I hate it too. That's why I get so fearful and concerned when I see people try to find their identity in their flesh, and not in Jesus.

That's a very powerful teaching but Heaven is not our final destiny! Because we never lost heaven, we lost dominio over Earth !

I like the description of the astral plane from Chapter 43 of Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda. It is described as a cosmos made of various subtle vibrations of light and color with the astral day and night much longer than those of earth. Here's a quote: "The astral world is infinitely beautiful, clean, pure and orderly. There are no dead planets or barren lands. The terrestrial blemishes -- weeds, bacteria, insects, snakes-- are absent. Unlike the variable climates and seasons of the earth, the astral planets maintain the even temperature of an eternal spring, with occasional luminous white snow and rain of many colored lights. Astral planets abound in opal lakes and bright seas, and rainbow rivers." He also describes "astral prisons" where beings, according to their karma, are assigned so they can work on themselves. This is nothing like the fire and brimstone, burning, rotting in hell you read in the Bible. Friction and war is known to take place in the gloom of the lower astral regions, kind of like we do here but just in a different setting. A kind of hell does indeed exist on earth. The chapter goes on in great depth. Worth checking out.

empty cuz nobody will live the life they do not want themselves but what god wants them to live. what kind of a miserable existence would that be to live an empty life unfullfilled by ones own desires.
im sure everyone will give the preprogrammed answers, gods will, eternal life, jesus saves...etc... how would YOU know? you ever died to find out personally? im tired of chasing a god who knows me not but to punish and torture my existence for the past 30+ years. if god is listening if jesus is my savior... will they prove me wrong in my life or continue the "loving torture" im getting already. my bets on status quo cuz ive prayed for my entire life. nothings improved but emptiness has gotten more abundant.
Then why are we cremated, thrown into the fire after we die? Buried full body, or fed to the vultures etc. after we are dead?

It is not God's will for any to perish, that is why He sent His Son Jesus to Earth to be born a man and to suffer and die for the sins of the world so that all who trust in Jesus and what He has done for us will be forgiven and can receive eternal life, there will be no fear of judgement and death or hell for them. All you need is believe in Jesus ,call upon His name repent and turn to Him and He will save you . 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”John 11 :25-26

doesn't the bible say that Jesus will return to earth and live HERE with us! Surely that indicates that we DO NOT go to heaven, there is also scripture that says that no man has ascended to heaven except Jesus himself, it also states that there is no thought not deed in the grave, and that the Saints sleep and await for their transformation upon the return of Christ! No person has ever been to heaven, not enoch or Elijah or any of the other saints, they all await the return of Christ in order to be transformed into eternal spirit and to live with the saviour here on earth upon his return.
