Genius idea about the TV and fireplace move to hide the window panel. Gosh, no end to your creativity. I love the curtains and pelmet cover, what a difference it makes. I really appreciate how you thrift and decorate on a tight budget but with a lavish style. Your home is beautiful and I love how it is ever changing with a few inexpensive but very creative inclusions. Thank you for your inspiration. xx
I love the paint color and agree that the room will look fabulous with all of the walls the same beautiful color. The drapes are really nice and rich looking and the "board" that you used to block the window is camouflaged nicely with the fireplace and tv. On your video, it almost gave an appearance of brocade pattern, and it looks great.
WOW! Very lovely! It's warm n cozy! You are very thrifty! I over think ....you...just do! Great inspiration! Luv all your items! The beautiful plates..copper..those horse pictures! Never would have guessed you covered a window!! Awesome! Can't wait to see the tree decorated! Thank you for sharing! 😊🎄
Well done, Lynsey! I loved this video and all the prep work you've done so far in getting ready for Christmas. The corner shelves you put up are perfect to display all your beautiful collectibles, and your velvet drapes are so luxurious! I can never find drapes like that in my thrift stores. Really looking forward to your upcoming videos!
The window treatments are awesome . The colour of the curtains and this gorgeous trim is so beautiful. Thank God for Christmas decorations, right? Keeps our mind busy ❤❤❤
What a great way to stop the draft. Also, so nice to see you again! Looking forward to Christmas as well. Have a wonderful time getting the house ready for Christmas and guests!🎄🤶🏻💓
It’s amazing to me that you take disparate items that you’ve collected over the years and it all goes together. I don’t have that talent. I’d end up with tons of things that don’t go together! Lol. Thanks for your wonderful videos.
We are all ready to hear from you at any stage your in. I love that beautiful red velvet curtains. You are so smart and changing up your curtains without messing up the curtains underneath. It’s so smart. I can’t wait to see what’s next. I wish I had the guts to try stuff like you do. Your my inspiration ❣️
All your changes look great! Especially taking care of the drafty window… the house is ready for full on Christmas! Looking forward to future videos… I’m working on my Grandmothers China cabinet and filling it with things of the season- I love the change of seasons, even here in Florida! 🌲🌴
I love that red brocade fabric. So rich looking. Glad that you are insulating especially with the price of fuel. We have a wood stove that we use and it’s such a cozy heat. Take care and thanks for sharing your ideas.
Omgoodness! I just wished I had your mind when it comes to crafting!! You simply amaze me!! By the way you looked very pretty in your picture!!! Keep the ideas coming!!😊😊😊
Hello Lynsey. I love the pelmet material and braid. Such a good idea and totally sets off the velvet curtains. The room painted all that blue will go very well, very victorian. Shelves in the kitchen are excellent and display all your fabulous stuff. Love it all. Looking forward to whats to come. Love from Sunderland.
You did a lovely job with curtains and boarded up window/draft issue. Very good idea with solution re boarded up window and draft issue. I like the sofa with pictures in that little alcove. I can see a swag with red bow across the very top above the TV. Have you ever painted lampshades? I was wondering because I have heard of it especially if you have rather plain shades. Looking forward to your Christmas decorating. I can not personally do it until after Thanksgiving but then I don't have all that company coming and produce a video frequently😏
Thanks. I have painted shades before it’s on an old video, to be honest I wouldn’t decorate till after thanksgiving if I didn’t have the channel 😔 I do love Christmas but November 1st is too early 🎄
yes, these draughty old houses.... we could see the lace curtains move on windy days! we closed up some windows that looked out onto the enclosed porch...they are flush on one side- but i liked the trim around the inset...so that is now our gallery w/ hubby's paintings! i had thought adding narrow shelves for pretty plates or something- but we love how the gallery turned out- though it is on the porch! LOL i love those curtains and the new TV wall looks great :) i tried painting one of those pinkish 'copper' molds and couldn't get a good tone....i will maybe just have to follow your advice and paint the 2 i have to match instead of trying to make it look like the real copper one. imagine painting the copper one to match the cheap one! LOL
Well done. Wonderful furniture placement and great camouflage on the window. My house is over 100 yrs old also so I well know how one needs to use their imagination when it comes to sealing up drafty corners. I think I might consider making that window board look like painted brick. I love your video format of using just a voice over so you showcase your work and enjoy your very brief cameo appearance. Good to see you again!
I am always impressed by your creativity and energy. It was also great to see you driving in the car. I think that was the first time I have seen you. You should get in front of the camera more :)
Ok. I will have to be diligent and make sure to get online and check for your videos mid week. 😊 Everything looks great Lynsey. Good job with the wood paneling and navy paint cover-up. I especially like how you styled the high shelf with the copper and all of the 🖼️ items and the blackboard 🖼️ and the fabric. I love Christmas time. I feel a little guilty because its like I'm skipping over Thanksgiving! The Christmas spirit is felt for like a month before its celebrated. Nice start to the Christmas season! Your guests will be so lucky! I can imagine you treating them to all sorts of treats you will make for them like scones, gingerbread cookies, apple cider and eggnog, all homemade! Not to mention the savory foods you'll make. 😋 😊
Oh my schedule is all over at the moment, I have lots to fit in before December. I will try to get back to a video midweek and again on Saturday morning. My next is later today. I will have lots of decorating and maybe some cooking for Christmas 🤶 lots more to come. 🎄❤️🤗
Love what you did...I really love the red velvet curtains wish I could find some velvet for my sunroom...I have a big window I want to make some drapes for....I have also been on a shelf making binge also I am been working on my extra bedroom adding shelves for all my little collection of vintage items and sewing vintage things I collect....button cards trims and lace still in their package...vintage anything sewing...keep up the great videos I really enjoy them...
I’m thinking that you could cover the boarded window with a gorgeous fabric or wallpaper to make it pop rather than try and make it disappear! If anyone can pull it off, you can!
Again, I’m so very impressed with your sewing and your imaginative staging to keep the cold at bay and to make your home more cozy. Well done! ❤️⭐️
Thank you so much! I should probably board up all the windows 🪟

Looks great with T.V. over there. Good job. Love the curtains. I hate sewing. Love the fabric!😊
Thanks so much. Oh I love sewing used to sew my kid’s clothes years ago. Lol. 😊

Sounds great! I wish I had a stove we have them in the French house I need them here🔥
That looks perfect how you covered window, moved television & fireplace --- the wall looks great! I would of never known a boarded up window.

Love old houses but they really are cold. I did try to match the colour on my pans but it was much less trouble just to paint them all the same 🤗❤️🎄
It really looks warm and cozy, so lovely!💕✨
Thank you! 😊 it’s made a big difference 👍😊
