- Here is second part of the series i started with general introduction yesterday regarding the Grand Retelling Event or Tales of Old if you wish.
Today we are starting with Lair of the mad dragon, on highest difficulty with 5 handicaps, that you will be able to see in the video.
I did my best to explain how to optimize the run, what tactics to use, what mobs are to be carefull off and how to move as a team to succeed all 5 tier dificullty in order to gain all maximum 45 coins and get those juicy artifacts as soon as possible, because it can be very draining spending too much time in there.
I also made sure to point out where the important powerups are, extra lives, extra time etc. Ofc i missed some but usually they are t the same places in particular dungeons.
I will cover all 4 dungeons also pointing out the mechanics, what to do and what to be aware of and where to search for powerups.
I focused mostly here on non endgame group to show you it can be done in decent ammount of time and as less frustration as possible.
Took us about over hour to finish all 5 runs and i with this team, which i commend for effort they put i think it`s decent for a hour work working towards the goal of gaining artifacts and preserving time and nerves.
Work as a team as the difficulty increase do not rush and all will be fine.

Here is one more video in series i`m making for new players, and old about grand retelling, or tales of old.I recorded hardest tier 5 run lair of the mad dragon showing tactics and locations of power ups, giving general advices how to play it out and consume as less time and nerves. In 1 hour it should be done, and i have done it with non endgame team frankly earning my 45 coins and gaining one more artifact that i know alot of you are looking forward to get.
I purposly choosed average group to show you it can be done without much hassle and time wasting, if i can do it, so can you trust me.
I pointed ut on important things such as power ups locations, chest locations (not all mind you), extra times lives etc.

Hello Northside, thanks for the video! I have a question regarding guild boons. My power is currently ~180k, should I take the crit damage guild boon or the power boon? What gives more dps?
Hello Northside, can you please find out if we will get the Nostura white stag mount from the accidental Test Pack, certain players got from the claims agent for 30 minutes after server came back up after maintenance. Select players knew about Twitch Prime giving away legendary insignia pack, along with an accidental Test Pack containing a Nostura White Stag mount. There was a bug with the legendary Insignia pack and players were able to claim it multiple times. Along with the unintended Test Pack that contained a purple mount White stag, that the rest of us who did not know about this, don't get to have now. Can you help?
Stupid tales of old again? Why don't they just make em fricken official dungeons already. What's the purpose of this? Are they compiling data, or just doing it to let people chase their tails?
Would have thought the whole idea was to reintroduce all of the old content again, and eventually bring in more dungeon tiers, but they're either not bothering or taking their sweet time about it.
I know man, i guess they want people to get the chance to get all the artifacts, hell i got mines in 2 days and i`m done. On brighter side no disconects (for me) and no lag so i i stormed trough it. I agree these dungeons need to be reworked and placed permamnently in game with GOOD PRIZES! If Chris pulls it out and we get them it will be a step up.
@Northside How many Books can you get during the 2-week event? I'm running a Paladin and I'm aiming for two books with possibly the neck and belt artifacts. Thanks for the video.
Well i got all books, mind you i had one already. Now i`m sure you can get all books and all embelishments during this event easy. Neck and belt use different currecy my friend, coins for books are not a problem, cheers i hope this helps.
I'm sure you know this but you can use artifacts after the cut scenes on any difficulty level in all of these tales dungeons.
OH yeah for me it was that split moment after the cutscene to quickly press keybinded mouse button and activatate, i was mostlly late xD but it works yep.
Can you please talk about the accident Cryptic had yesterday. For 30 minutes after server came back up, players who knew about a Twitch Legendary insignia pack, obtained it for free along with a "Test Pack" containing a special Nostura white stag mount. Players abused the fact that you could claim the packs multiple times due to a bug. They got to keep the Insignia and the mount, while the rest of us who weren't aware of this get nothing. Which is horrible because I desperately want that White Stag mount.

Agreed :) icespire 5x not hard for me but dread vault i did not get to do it sadly.
What is the reward for beating difficult 4?
Let me get back to you on that since i just did 5x and i was on a break for a year.
Is the venom journal worth grinding for?
Yes, it is a good artifact.

Great video. Tons of info. I just healed this on my 20k pally. Thought i was doing horrible in the 5th stage. Glad to see it wasn't me, its just hard :) Beat it first try though.

Mind you this was ran at 3 in the morning (i think) i was exausted so bad by the time i got to the 5th phase and then i needed to render it and upload it, so i can have our easter work free. Well it`s because it gets boring after a grind. Like anything else i agree. I can endure 1h a day maybe for 1 and ahalf artifact but that`s it.

NO need, steam roll it with 5 dpses, i just made it so it`s somewhat variety because of new players brother. Cheers
