Damn this is just great! I'm 62 years old and have heard an absolute ton of music in my life, and I'm so glad I'm witnessing bands like this today! This music makes it great to be alive, Thanks!!
I always love those kids 'born in the wrong generation', but now you have to tools to easily access the golden oldies and if you look harder you find gems like this.
This band confounds me. I've never been in a mood where King Buffalo didn't fit. Bad day at work? Put on some KB. Great day at work? Celebrate with some KB. Gotta clean these dishes? Why not some King Buffalo. Hungry? KB! I'm loving every release thus far.
Love this. Although, my go to band to release stress from work, good or bad, is The Balck Lips. Perfect way to say F U to the world, which how work makes me feel.
I've been in a nether world for nine months since the love of my life transitioned to the other side, my beautiful wife....we rocked out listening to Orion, She loved it...somehow I just found this song and it speaks to my head space...most of me is with her.
the entire stoner/psychedelic/doom scene is, unfortunately for the artists. Fortunately for the audience imho. I do'nt want any of these bands get weakenend or flattened by commercialisation. They stay true to the genre and their music
Similar to 62 yr old John in this post. I’m 58, heard tons of music in my life. There has been a recent rebirth of some really cool music with King Buffalo at the top. It’s great to feel a big enthusiasm in music again.
thank you king buffalo, you restored my faith in good music. i am from the hendrix, cream, led zeppelin, zappa, stones, mahavishnu, jeff beck era saw them all and the past few years i dont get the music, found it soulless. so, again thank you, i love what you do
I love that contradicting feeling I get with bands like this, you want them to blow up and become super famous but at the same time it's this gem you found with a select group of people and you like the fact it is something niche, something unique.
All true! What everyone is saying I totally gel with. Healing. My favorite band. I want them to be known as the Rock Gods they are..whatever way that would be best for them as people.
Let me set the stage for what I experienced just minutes ago when this came up on autoplay: I'm just coming up to Las Cruses, NM, I'm rolling down the road in my 18 wheeler, I've gone 650 miles so far today and I'm hoping to get another 50 miles before I call it quits, I'm a little tired, but I'll be alright. I've got my headphones on and this starts playing. What timing. I instantly feel like the coolest mofo for a hundred miles in any direction. Thanks for the awesome track guys 👌
@@djmidnighthour it is legal and it's about as safe as driving a semi with the radio on. Also its healthy if the headphones have some noise canceling capabilities. The cabs of some of these semis can be quite loud, which can lead to hearing damage
I'm 68 now and this band has the ambience I felt when I heard Led Zeppelin and Robin Trower for the first time and like all great bands there's not a bad song. Hope they stick together and see how far they can take it. WOW!
Lyrics: This ship is falling apart My hands are ragged and weathered This ship is falling apart I think I’m falling apart I feel my way through the dark I try to sift through the shadows Like pulling blood from a stone Like pulling blood from a stone I’ve been adrift for so long now My bones are littered with rust There’s no horizon to sail to The river’s turning to dust
Heading down to Philly to see these guys on September 30th. They're a cross between Floyd, Grunge and other elements. All favorites. It's a swirling maelstrom of sound. Hard to believe when watching Kyuss in open for Danzig in 1992 that desert metal and stoner would lead to this 30 years later. I'm stoked!
If I spend the rest of my years a complete and utter failure, knowing King Buffalo existed will make that time, nothing short of a complete success. The way they build momentum, it’s so discreet, your last memory of swaying your head, back and forth, rhythmically, is interrupted when you need to pull yourself back through the hole, your body just made, in the wall.
After listening to them for several years now and being myself a pianist, organist, guitarist, and vocalist in my early youth and now at the age of 72, I believe that I can safely say that King Buffalo currently defines this genre. There are of course many others exhibiting this vibe that excel doing it; but for me, King Buffalo currently defines it for the 21st century. Each separate are good musicians but together they experience a special type of synchronicity above the others even if by a small margin, not wanting to insult other dedicated, talented, inspired musicians and their fans and followers. A great band puts out great music time and again over not just a few years but decade after decade. So far so good. God bless. Wish I could see you when you come to Atlanta. Cheers!
For real! Damn I see so much truth being dropped in the comments around here. I used to swear by ATW … almost thinking King Buffalo was umm less than. This was before I even gave KB a solid listen. You guys are so good, you've hit a real special place with me and music. I hope you guys get a lot of attention and respect because you deserve it. You're one of the few artists I've gone out of my way to buy merch and vinyls ect directly from you guys because I want you to support what you guys are doing, you've made a fan for life and I hope you make many more of those.
I was at the show in Wiesbaden last night...amazing show! You guys crushed it and showed the Germans how real Americans rock! Excited to see how the tour plays out. Keep rocking guys, glad those waters and beers hit the spot and kept you hydrated during the show. I’ll bring more whenever we next encounter. Rock on!
My brother texted me before I woke up, that this just released. I’m sitting in bed, awake for all of 5 mins listening to this gem. I may drift back off into the greatest slumber/dream of my life.

This is epic and on Thanksgiving Day. What a gift thank you King Buffalo. I’m currently in quarantine in Italy for 10-21 days positive with COVID. This release today helps to say the least as I miss the holiday and family.
Cheers to your full & speedy recovery! I had it a couple of months ago too. I admit it wasn't very fun, but some great music and some good books to read got me through it pretty well. You're certainly starting off well going with King Buffalo. All the best!
How this band is not on every billboard right now just tells you how mentally brainwashed our society is. I just love to see I'm not the only one making comments like this. King Buffalo are real musicians, this is what real fucking talent looks like!
Acheron was my introduction to King Buffalo and I'm completely amazed and mesmerized. Somehow this band released two new albums in 6 months, and both deserves to be 2021 AotY contenders!
I like it, I really like it, strange mix of Black Sabbath with hints of pink floyd(guitar) I find the beginning suggestive and the guitar explosions are interesting. Long life to this band
The whole vibe of this song takes me back to exploring the Inner Space Caverns here in Austin as a kid. The almost otherwordly atmopshere creates a chilling sense of wonder.
Fuck me, recording this must've been an amazing experience. Reminded me of the time I visited Aillwee Cave in IE back in 2018. At one point the guide turned off all of the lights, drowning the chamber in ABSOLUTE pitch black darkness... Savage stuff! I am thankful for King Buffalo. 🤟
