Hello, I’ve never played any VN, but I just finished White Album 2 as an anime without even looking at White Album 1, only because of Kazusa’s CD (lmao). And the thing is, I always see and read people talking about the greatness of Umineko, how amazing it is, and so on. So here are some questions: If I were to watch this full playlist of 177 episodes, would I get the full version of the story? Do I need to play the game to experience it fully, or is it enough to watch THIS playthrough? Oh and do I need any more information or know something before starting? I don't even know the plot or the synopsis. Thanks in advance o7
You're an absolute God for this. Playing umi back in my day required making at least seven pacts with demons, and sometimes one would try to trick you into getting a virus. Or one wouldn't work. Or the sprites were wrong. Or the voices weren't playing. Anyways I've been able to pass this onto a good friend of mine, hopefully continuing the cycle of the Umineko strain of Brainrot

@Singularity already on it chief. Praise be witch-hunt for the OGs and the following adaptions that developed. Bought the physical doujin copies in Japan, second hand tho so not exactly direct support in that regard. Did it with higu too before steam had any indication it was going to make adaptions. That being said, have purchased umi manga brand new. Not all of it quite yet.

Sadly, my computer can’t download the mods necessary on the Steam version so this playthrough is a life saver. People told me there’s one way to expience the game, and I just gave up trying to install the game. Thank you so much for this

I thought this 'game' would've at least choices that we can make. Even otome games have choices and multiple endings. I was a bit bummed when i realize that this is just more like an audio+visual book, without choices or multiple endings. Nevertheless, I like the umineko story i watched from the anime, so hopefully i'll finally know the answer of the mystery. Bought the steam version, can't wait to unravel the mystery. Although a bit boring to just read on screen & listen without doing anything at all.. If paper-based book i understand..

I blazed thru the series in 2 months and it’s my new fav thing ever so if you are feeling like it give it a chance for sure, it starts slow but once I got to the first night I was hooked

Since Umineko is basically a linear story, there are almost no choices. There are several chapters with choices and I uploaded them as separate videos. So, yes.

It isn't all that. It's repetitive with a lot edgy moments. I dropped at the end of EP 3 and started reading the manga and dropped at EP 7
