@@sandrareginacassimiro4081YES I agree with you. Indeed do. The director did not have to kill off Uncus and if Uncus we're alive then Alice would be alive . I read that the director did not feel comfortable showing any sort of love scene between Uncus and Alice because of the actresses age which was 17 . Eric was 25 at the time of the movie . If you notice even the scene in the waterfall where she's holding him and then he holds her and he hugs her. Then he looks up. They cut the scene short and I read somewhere that Eric was very mad that they took like almost all the scenes out between him and Alice . If the director would have gone exactly by the book then Uncus would have been with Cora, not with Alice. I think the whole thing was by design. They decided that they were going to kill off two of the characters and just ended like that for them which is ridiculous.
