As a fellow Russian reenactment officer I must say I am extremely impressed by this, my unit needs a lot of work to march like that, and they don't do to good with non English commands, one day I hope to excel to this level

Brandon2495 when he was telling him where to look and he starts moving! He did keep it pretty clean but still I thought he was going to murder him. I just watched a bunch of your stuff and enjoyed them. S! from Ost-Battailon 439 POA, fighting to liberate Russia from the Bolshevik menace.

    • @BrandonF
      @BrandonF  7 ปีที่แล้ว +29

I feel the same way. I've always thought drilling and parading to be the most fun parts of any reenactment, aside from talking with the public.

the guy in the front is actually trying but the rest are absolutely fucking terrible their syncing is shit when commanded to halt, turn, ground arms, and a lot more of things to criticize on. They shouldn't be disrespecting those uniforms and drill moves. These three looks like some teenages with snotty attitude.

Guys, very well done! But there are some improvements that need to be made, on 2:15 when you walk with guns on your arms which is executed by a command «на руку» (on hand (na ruku)) if you hold a weapon like that, you walk in solemn march, which means that you don’t bend your knees, you throw your leg out, pulling toes in front, and you make strong step) But still, very well executed, comrades)) This is the best re-enactment of rkka soldiers I’ve seen in the West) Respect you guys for effort and research you have done!

Raz, raz, raz-dva-tri (one, one, one-two-three) - An odd account must given under the left foot, an even account is given under the right foot. Therefore, sometimes they say it like this: “left, left, one-two-three.”
On the command “направо марш! (right march!)” everyone had to turn at the same time, and the column would turn into a line. And the turn that you made on the video is made by the command “левое плечо вперёд! (left shoulder forward!)”.

A bit of a late reply, but even just walking every day can help. I knew a guy I used to play historical video games with who was well over 300 pounds and couldn't fit into a uniform at all. He hated that he couldn't reenact and if he ever did, he didn't want to be a walking tub of lard in a soldier's uniform - his words. That said, he got off his ass and started with walking, then jogging, then running. Eating right and losing weight like crazy. About 2 years down the road he joined the USMC like he always wanted to, got surgery to get rid of his excess skin, and looks good in a historical uniform!
So you know, it's absolutely possible! He's not the only one, but perhaps the more dramatic one I've seen. Your future and what you want to do with it is up to you!
