Carlia Williams no Netflix would’ve canceled it after 3 seasons and each season would’ve been 12 episodes. And they’d split the seasons into two releases

Man I'd love a spin-off, but a lot of people say they want spin offs of certain plot lines and personally I think it would ruin the specialness of the story. As much as it pains me to say, I think it would ruin the dynamic they have going on in the Hunter family if they went too in depth with it by making a whole tv show. Plus, the thing that makes their storyline to appealing is the Matthews family. You have to have a character that the audience relates to for the show to really work. It would be interesting but in the long run I think it would disappoint.

A lot of Disney shows like this end after their 3rd season, it's because after their 3rd season Disney has to start paying all of the actors more. So the show would probably have to be crazy popular for them to keep airing it. :/
@@Redstar24_ if it is a continuation, then they are still eligible for raises, plus there are other costs that come from switching networks. They did avoid this issue with rebranding successful shows with a tagline, such as Hannah Montana: Forever, and Liv & Maddie (LA). The only live-action show I know of that didn't do this for was Wizards of Waverly Place, and it probably cost them greatly.
I think they shipped Maya's mom and Shawn because of Maya and Riley's friendship to keep Shawn and Cory closer together as friends. I don't know. It seems like he wants to be a father to Maya more than be a husband to Katy.

We saw Angela challenge him and go through tough times together. We saw them endure trails in their relationship which lead us to believers them. We saw their chemistry and affection for each other. Angela taught Shawn lessons and vice versa. They grew together. The girls in high school had more of a connection with Shawn than Katy. At no point has Katy ever taught Shawn a lesson. Never has she really challenge him in order to grow. I agree he never showed the same passion for Katy as he had for Maya. It’s obvious. We know the connection Shawn had with Maya. We can say why he’s adamant about protecting her and being to her what Mr. Turner was to him. They never give us a reason why Shawn is in love with her other than lip service.

I truly love how the writers simply didn’t make Shawn Maya’s father rather they built up their relationship between them, probably the best arc of this new series.
Shawn wasn't born into a loving family but he built one, one piece at a time, out of the people who CHOSE to be there for him. And in the end he was the dad he needed to another kid who needed one.

I grew up watching boys meets world and I'm 28 now and it seems silly to keep watching it but watching these clips brings back the feel good the original show provided and the fact that Shawn came back and picked up from the show and found happiness and got a daughter with it, it's just great. I'm a softie , this shit brought a tear lol
I'm also happy that Shawn ends up with Katy, instead of Angela. I mean, first loves don't always end up together. We could see at the beginning in BMW, that Shawn and Angela weren't meant to be together anyways. If we compare 3 relationships together, like Cory/Topanga, Shawn/Angela, and Shawn/Katy, Shawn and Katy's relationship was more corresponded to Cory and Topanga's relationship because Cory and Topanga, they started off being friends first then they started their relationship together as boyfriend and girlfriend, and that was how Shawn and Katy started off theirs. Shawn and Katy started off as friends and began with getting to know each other better before they started their relationship, that wasn't how Shawn and Angela started theirs. Shawn and Angela started by dating for a week first by Shawn's reputation rule, then after they broke up, Shawn started off by falling in love with Angela's concept, which he searched in Angela's friend's purse and Angela's stuff in there, so Shawn started off by falling in love with the concept of Angela, not because of knowing Angela as a person first, which that kind of relationship, of course, wouldn't work in the first place, because you have to start with being friends and getting to know each other first before starting a relationship with that person, which Shawn and Angela did not started like that, but Shawn and Katy did, that's why Shawn and Katy ended up being together instead of Shawn and Angela. So I'm glad that Shawn end up with Katy, instead of with Angela.
Yeah, I'm guessing you didn't watch all of Boy Meets World because there was a Valentine's episode that distinctly mentioned Shawn saying to Angela that he wanted to change their relationship because you have to be friends first before you fall in love with someone. Also, what is this crazy concept that every relationship starts off as a friendship first? Sometimes you just think someone is attractive and are like let's date.
I Think Shawn and Katy was the best thing to happen. It was important to show that not everyone can be Cory and Topanga. Shawn, like most of us, always believed that he would know Love when it happened because of Cory and Topanga, but here we see that he reached the same destination but took a different road.
My favorite part about this story is the fact that Shawn would always make sure that Maya always knew that her mom was trying her best and that she needed to be appreciated when he did something nice for Maya. I also adore how we got something that felt like real life. This whole story felt very real and sweet.
This is an amazing story. Shawn deserves to have a great family because the only family he has was Cory's... And now he has his. A loving wife, and a beautiful daughter. So I want to be the first to see the new spin-off of Shawn's life.

I know how much people loved Shawn and Angela, but watching Shawn & Katy with Maya being the center really made me emotional. Shawn finally got the happiness he so deserved.
Okay I grew up on Boy Meets World. I was not ready for this emotional roller coaster. So happy for Shawn, he finally got what he'd been looking for his whole life.

I loved the Shawn and Angela relationship but I find the Shawn/Katy relationship very special; I was the woman who was left. I completely shut off any home of anyone ever “being extremely fond” of me, I figured that part of my life was over for good, I would be alone, just my son and I. But I found a man like Shawn, he loved my son from the beginning and my son loved him. I felt so unwanted, divorced women are never anyone’s first choice, but for this man I was.
It’s weird how in every show the side character gets more famous In shake it up zendaya was more famous then Bella And in GMW Sabrina was more famous then Rowan
Deborah Jr. no??? Literally in the theme song both zendaya’s and Bella’s names are shown at the same time, they’re referred as “rocky and CeCe” from summaries of the show, and it definitely follows both of their plot lines throughout it all. They were both the main characters of the show.
because they were side characters, not main characters. A lot of development happened off screen while we followed their development more from Maya's POV
I loved that Shawn found Katy: it is where Shawn found Love. And Katy, is FINE...she is COOL. This was a BEAUTIFUL story . It healed Katy, it healed Shawn...and it healed Maya. LOVE, AT ITS MOMENT. I HOPE THIS TOUCHED ANOTHER'S HEART.( As it touched Mine.💘)

Shawn and Katy ending up together was more believable than Shawn and Angela together. It always seemed like Angela had one foot out the door even back in BMW. Shawn and Angela then got split up and took no effort to stay in contact after they left. Shawn then comes back and connects with Maya. He then develops feeling with Katy, Maya’s mother. It works and it seems real. They seem like they compliment each other very well. They are both incomplete in some way and both of their missing pieces fit in each other’s puzzles very well.

There was no chemistry between them, no real time spent developing them. I never once believed Shawns feelings for her, and honestly, it gave a cookie cutter ending to it. With Shawn and Angela, those two spent time together, grew together, went through their ups and downs, with Angela only leaving to spend time with her father. The fact they didn't end up together makes no sense, and really, hurt the show more as it basically had Shawn marry Katie just so it gives Maya a father instead of having Shawn act like Turner, being the father figure for Maya while also living his own life.
I've never watched this show before. But I must say i enjoyed Shawn and Angela's relationship and it was disappointing that they didn't end up together ☹️
Just wanted to let you know that I finally started watching PLL. Which couples should I focus on besides Ezria? I heard the final season will come on in April.
This was the best thing about GMW and proof that these writers still know how to create perfect love stories, except for the kids...that was just a hot mess all around. Shawn-n-Katy had great chemistry and both actors nailed it, although nothing beats Cory-n-Topanga!
So forced. You can tell Shawn is not as emotional nd fixated with Katie as he was with Angela. I think Maya could tell that's why she was doubtful. Watch the videos with him and Angela and watch it with Katie. Such a contrast. When he proposed to Katie he said 'Do you want to get married?' When he wanted to marry Angela, he made it a statement. I know its acting, but its so different how he was with Angela. He did this all for Maya, because she was him.
I think that's because Shawn was just really scared, because he was so sure about Angela and that got him sucker punched him in the gut, in the end. I didn't grow up watching Boy Meets World, I only grew up with Riley and Maya, but what I love about their story is that they were all so scared to be left or hurt, but they took a chance on different and it paid off! 😄💙 I think that's what set their bond in concrete, or what set that deep emotional connection.

Angela wasn't emotionally available most of the show and had trauma. Shawn had his own trauma but he was looking for someone else, someone to have a family. She was always leading him on, she was in love with the moment but not him.

Then she told him he loved him and he always did when he still wasn’t ready to commit. Saying Angela was emotionally unavailable, for the most part, is completely untrue from what we’ve seen
I love how when shawn and Katie in the diner Katie doesn't want maya to have someone to make her feel love and hurt her again what I really love is how much hurt shawn showed in his tone when he said "I'm not a leaver alright, I'm a stayer I'm the one who gets left", it show you how lonely he's felt all his life that his father left, mother left, brother barely keeps in contact with his sense he never mention jack , his girlfriend left him, he just felt so alone yeah he still got cory and Topanga but they were busy being parents and shawn didn't have anyone until he met maya saw himself in the same position that is why I am glad at the last season of GMW she becomes his daughter completely
4:20 to 4:45 Proof that with the right person you can start believing again. Shawn and Maya have similar parental situations and were both left at an early age. Shawn wasn't sure if he could love again, and Maya wasn't sure if she could really be close to anyone other than Riley and her family. The bond Shawn and Maya have and the fondness they have for each other is something more people to have. And the love story between him and Katy, Maya's mother, is so sweet; if it weren't for Riley and Maya being best friends to the point where people may think they're sisters, none of this would've happened. In the end, it was meant to be.
Shawn finding those 2 gave me closure to the way shawn ended in Boys Meets World. This is the happy ending he deserved. And it also gives a bit of hope to those of us who havent found THE one.
I can NOT believe how GOOD you did on this video, however, you may consider finishing it by showing Hunter adapting Maya. THAT would complete this wonderful story that you have so painstaking put together. Personally, I think the entire show was about this story more than Riley. Again, thank you for taking the time and effort doing this. Oh, and if you do add Maya's adaption to this story, please leave the part where she repeats calling Shawn Dad.
I am so happy that you enjoyed this video! After they got married, there just was not enough scenes besides the finale episode to make another video or else I would have updated their story. That whole scene is on youtube already anyways. If there were several more scenes from different episodes then it would be worth it for me to make another video. The way things went down with Angela was weird and rushed and the way she comes back and leaves again is also weird but the fact that these : found their way into each others lives is beautiful ❤

Despite this being on Disney, I like how the writers gave Shawn his happy ending. In Boy Meets World, he had a tough life. Which was good because it made the show much more realistic and impactful, but Shawn was that character that no matter how good things were going, you knew the other shoe was going to drop, it was just a matter of when. This show really made up for that without sacrificing the core of the character.
Don’t mind me I’m crying. I love Shawn so much and I love his relationship with Maya. I was crying during the finale when he asked Maya if he can adopt her. It was one of the best moments on the show and I’m happy that Shawn finally gets his happy ending that he wanted for so long!
Rider Strong is such a talented actor. Whatever became of him? Would love to see him in another role. No matter what character he might be...nothing will top Shawn Hunter.
This made me smile & cry all in the same breath. Boy meets World has always been one of my absolute favorite shows. I fell in love with all of the characters. Shawn in particular. I was thrilled when I heard that they were bringing it back as Girl Meets World but unfortunately I did not & still do not have the Disney channel. I did watch a few episodes at my friend's house & loved it and the characters just as much as the original. I had no idea of this story line. thank you so much for making this. so beautiful.

Shawn and Katy were more like Corey and Topanga than Shawn and Angela ever were. And I mean that in the worst way. Shawn and Angela couldn't be together in the spin-off because It's unrealistic to marry your *college sweetheart*. But the writers didn't think it unrealistic for Shawn to chase after his best friends of twenty years to go to New York City and become stepfather to the girl whose entire life perfectly mirrors his, right down to the most clichéd upbringing and replica best friendship he had growing up? Shawn and Angela staying together after fighting so hard and putting in so much genuine work to be together is unrealistic but not Mr. Feeney being Corey, Shawn, and Topanga's ONLY teacher from 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th grades, and then as college freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors? Riley's childhood friend Farkle could (realistically) be the son of Minkus, Corey's childhood friend who somehow ALSO conveniently moved from Philadelphia to the exact same New York neighborhood as the Lawrence-Matthews. And Farkle's mother could (realistically) be Shawn's evil, popular high school girlfriend too 😒. Eric-- the show's dumbest character--is a mayor and a state senator. But the creators thought that was just fine. Maya (realistically) dates her best friend's teenaged uncle after all the girls in his college band together to make sure he stays single as he waits years for Maya to "be old enough for him" 🤮🤮. All this mess... and yet Shawn and Angela were the ONE storyline the writers blew up for the sake of "realism". Howw convenient is that....🤔🤔🤔 I wonder what it was particularly about the character of Angela Moore that made the writers unable to see past their sudden need for realism among the rest of their sea of absurdity.. What was it specifically that separates Angela from every other character on this show.... the word is on the tip of my tongue, but it's escaping me right now. I guess we'll never know. 🤷🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️

I truly love how the writers simply didn’t make Shawn Maya’s father rather they built up their relationship between them, probably the best arc of this new series.

I'm also happy that Shawn ends up with Katy, instead of Angela. I mean, first loves don't always end up together. We could see at the beginning in BMW, that Shawn and Angela weren't meant to be together anyways. If we compare 3 relationships together, like Cory/Topanga, Shawn/Angela, and Shawn/Katy, Shawn and Katy's relationship was more corresponded to Cory and Topanga's relationship because Cory and Topanga, they started off being friends first then they started their relationship together as boyfriend and girlfriend, and that was how Shawn and Katy started off theirs. Shawn and Katy started off as friends and began with getting to know each other better before they started their relationship, that wasn't how Shawn and Angela started theirs. Shawn and Angela started by dating for a week first by Shawn's reputation rule, then after they broke up, Shawn started off by falling in love with Angela's concept, which he searched in Angela's friend's purse and Angela's stuff in there, so Shawn started off by falling in love with the concept of Angela, not because of knowing Angela as a person first, which that kind of relationship, of course, wouldn't work in the first place, because you have to start with being friends and getting to know each other first before starting a relationship with that person, which Shawn and Angela did not started like that, but Shawn and Katy did, that's why Shawn and Katy ended up being together instead of Shawn and Angela. So I'm glad that Shawn end up with Katy, instead of with Angela.
Yeah, I'm guessing you didn't watch all of Boy Meets World because there was a Valentine's episode that distinctly mentioned Shawn saying to Angela that he wanted to change their relationship because you have to be friends first before you fall in love with someone. Also, what is this crazy concept that every relationship starts off as a friendship first? Sometimes you just think someone is attractive and are like let's date.
I Think Shawn and Katy was the best thing to happen. It was important to show that not everyone can be Cory and Topanga. Shawn, like most of us, always believed that he would know Love when it happened because of Cory and Topanga, but here we see that he reached the same destination but took a different road.

Shawn and Katy ending up together was more believable than Shawn and Angela together. It always seemed like Angela had one foot out the door even back in BMW. Shawn and Angela then got split up and took no effort to stay in contact after they left. Shawn then comes back and connects with Maya. He then develops feeling with Katy, Maya’s mother. It works and it seems real. They seem like they compliment each other very well. They are both incomplete in some way and both of their missing pieces fit in each other’s puzzles very well.

There was no chemistry between them, no real time spent developing them. I never once believed Shawns feelings for her, and honestly, it gave a cookie cutter ending to it. With Shawn and Angela, those two spent time together, grew together, went through their ups and downs, with Angela only leaving to spend time with her father. The fact they didn't end up together makes no sense, and really, hurt the show more as it basically had Shawn marry Katie just so it gives Maya a father instead of having Shawn act like Turner, being the father figure for Maya while also living his own life.

So forced. You can tell Shawn is not as emotional nd fixated with Katie as he was with Angela. I think Maya could tell that's why she was doubtful. Watch the videos with him and Angela and watch it with Katie. Such a contrast. When he proposed to Katie he said 'Do you want to get married?' When he wanted to marry Angela, he made it a statement. I know its acting, but its so different how he was with Angela. He did this all for Maya, because she was him.
I think that's because Shawn was just really scared, because he was so sure about Angela and that got him sucker punched him in the gut, in the end. I didn't grow up watching Boy Meets World, I only grew up with Riley and Maya, but what I love about their story is that they were all so scared to be left or hurt, but they took a chance on different and it paid off! 😄💙 I think that's what set their bond in concrete, or what set that deep emotional connection.

Angela wasn't emotionally available most of the show and had trauma. Shawn had his own trauma but he was looking for someone else, someone to have a family. She was always leading him on, she was in love with the moment but not him.

I love how when shawn and Katie in the diner Katie doesn't want maya to have someone to make her feel love and hurt her again what I really love is how much hurt shawn showed in his tone when he said "I'm not a leaver alright, I'm a stayer I'm the one who gets left", it show you how lonely he's felt all his life that his father left, mother left, brother barely keeps in contact with his sense he never mention jack , his girlfriend left him, he just felt so alone yeah he still got cory and Topanga but they were busy being parents and shawn didn't have anyone until he met maya saw himself in the same position that is why I am glad at the last season of GMW she becomes his daughter completely

Shawn and Maya have similar parental situations and were both left at an early age. Shawn wasn't sure if he could love again, and Maya wasn't sure if she could really be close to anyone other than Riley and her family.
The bond Shawn and Maya have and the fondness they have for each other is something more people to have.
And the love story between him and Katy, Maya's mother, is so sweet; if it weren't for Riley and Maya being best friends to the point where people may think they're sisters, none of this would've happened.
In the end, it was meant to be.
Shawn finding those 2 gave me closure to the way shawn ended in Boys Meets World. This is the happy ending he deserved. And it also gives a bit of hope to those of us who havent found THE one.
I can NOT believe how GOOD you did on this video, however, you may consider finishing it by showing Hunter adapting Maya. THAT would complete this wonderful story that you have so painstaking put together. Personally, I think the entire show was about this story more than Riley. Again, thank you for taking the time and effort doing this. Oh, and if you do add Maya's adaption to this story, please leave the part where she repeats calling Shawn Dad.

Despite this being on Disney, I like how the writers gave Shawn his happy ending. In Boy Meets World, he had a tough life. Which was good because it made the show much more realistic and impactful, but Shawn was that character that no matter how good things were going, you knew the other shoe was going to drop, it was just a matter of when. This show really made up for that without sacrificing the core of the character.
I still believe Shawn and Angela should have been endgame but this story is so wholesome ❤️

This made me smile & cry all in the same breath. Boy meets World has always been one of my absolute favorite shows. I fell in love with all of the characters. Shawn in particular. I was thrilled when I heard that they were bringing it back as Girl Meets World but unfortunately I did not & still do not have the Disney channel. I did watch a few episodes at my friend's house & loved it and the characters just as much as the original. I had no idea of this story line. thank you so much for making this. so beautiful.

This is by far the best story from GMV. I'm just watching the show now since I watched BMW, and now I'm hooked!
Shawn and Katy were more like Corey and Topanga than Shawn and Angela ever were. And I mean that in the worst way. Shawn and Angela couldn't be together in the spin-off because It's unrealistic to marry your *college sweetheart*. But the writers didn't think it unrealistic for Shawn to chase after his best friends of twenty years to go to New York City and become stepfather to the girl whose entire life perfectly mirrors his, right down to the most clichéd upbringing and replica best friendship he had growing up? Shawn and Angela staying together after fighting so hard and putting in so much genuine work to be together is unrealistic but not Mr. Feeney being Corey, Shawn, and Topanga's ONLY teacher from 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th grades, and then as college freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors? Riley's childhood friend Farkle could (realistically) be the son of Minkus, Corey's childhood friend who somehow ALSO conveniently moved from Philadelphia to the exact same New York neighborhood as the Lawrence-Matthews. And Farkle's mother could (realistically) be Shawn's evil, popular high school girlfriend too 😒. Eric-- the show's dumbest character--is a mayor and a state senator. But the creators thought that was just fine. Maya (realistically) dates her best friend's teenaged uncle after all the girls in his college band together to make sure he stays single as he waits years for Maya to "be old enough for him" 🤮🤮. All this mess... and yet Shawn and Angela were the ONE storyline the writers blew up for the sake of "realism". Howw convenient is that....🤔🤔🤔 I wonder what it was particularly about the character of Angela Moore that made the writers unable to see past their sudden need for realism among the rest of their sea of absurdity.. What was it specifically that separates Angela from every other character on this show.... the word is on the tip of my tongue, but it's escaping me right now.
