Perks were removed because supports like commander would be useless. For example, you have the haste perk. Commanders ability makes firerate lower for a few seconds, and has a cooldown, while the haste perk uses it forever.

I think platinum and other gem/ metal skins would be cool to add as things that are identical to golden skins, just for new towers. This would be cool because it would allow the golden crate to not be too full of skins. This would only be useful if every tower got golden skins though.

I wish they'd bring back platinum skins, cool idea for beginner players who are struggling on something but doesn't have good enough towers for it
