How to Talk about the Past with "Used To" and "Would"

  • In this English lesson I'll help you learn how to use "used to" and "would" to talk about repeated actions in the past that are no longer happening. Do you know how to do this? It's actually a fairly simple way to talk about the past in English. You don't even need to conjugate the verb! Wow!
In this English lesson you'll learn how to form the sentences, when to use them, and I'll also give plenty of examples.
Here's a couple right now, "When I was a kid, I used to eat cereal.", or, "When I was a kid, I would eat cereal." Two ways to talk about a repeated action in the past that no longer happens. Now you know!
Thanks for watching this free English lesson about how to use "used to" and "would" to talk about the past. Have a great day!
⌛ Remember: Always watch the video three times. Twice today with English subtitles on, and once tomorrow with the English subtitles off. This will reinforce the English you have learned!
