Love the backing groove... Every time I hear the song 'Steal My Sunshine' by LEN I just start singing this because of the sample! Sophie Ellis Bexter sounds just like her! ❤️
It's weird how LEN took those 4 bars from the break and turned it into a modern-sounding groove. After hearing "Steal My Sunshine" the original song's break sounds like a totally out-of-context sample from the future.
This is one of the best instrumentals of the Disco era. I had just graduated form elementary school that Bicentennial summer of 1976. This and Diana Ross' "Love Hangover" were my favorite songs at the moment.
Disco music is music that sounds good .. Disco never left, it's now house, techno, dance music, any music that forces you to dance..look up classic disco music you'll be surprised, the quality and variety....Andrea was a classic....

The 1970s disco craze is probably the best era in music history. Just look at the clubs the atmosphere back, then compared to nowadays, no comparison.. disco will live forever, and it does in the form of Dua Lipa, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Lizzo, Kylie, Minogue a lot of today’s music would be considered disco back in the day.

Carefree times, we were all stylish and drove really awesome cars. I miss my friends and family that have passed on as the music continues to play. Enjoy the moment we are not promised tomorrow.
Quote : 'We were all stylish ' Oh, yeah, I remember the awful flared trousers, impractical platform shoes impossible to walk in ( much less run in) and men with dirty long hair and please, don't even start me on that disco music ! 🙄😆😂
Well you sound like a bitter nasty person, guess your life didn’t go as planned.
Hey, her singing blended really great with the music, especially with the trumpet. It's a smooth fuzzy feeling song, and good for all occasions.
A True Pop Master Piece!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@MJ-nb7vg so what?
@@MJ-nb7vg , i hear ya , how's your view on this rap and hip hop bullshit, just curious--
It used to be on the radio all the time. Music nowadays sound eerie to me.
This song took me back to the 60s, 70s and 80s, Andrea True is the best singer of the 70s and she also has a Divine and Beautiful Voice
🎶🎶🎶🎶💖💖💖💖💖🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💥💥💥💥💥🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹
Personal and beautifull singing!!
BABY THESE WERE THE BEST DAYS! Everything Sucks now!
You're right! Sucks real hard!
Bottom line
For real!!!
You're just old

Love the backing groove... Every time I hear the song 'Steal My Sunshine' by LEN I just start singing this because of the sample! Sophie Ellis Bexter sounds just like her! ❤️
I remember when HBO used the song to promote one season of "Sex and The City". The four stars were singing this tune.
It's weird how LEN took those 4 bars from the break and turned it into a modern-sounding groove. After hearing "Steal My Sunshine" the original song's break sounds like a totally out-of-context sample from the future.
@@edwarddodge7937 it really does sound out of place. And both songs were one hit wonders
2:19 this part 👍🏻
now they are playing the len steal my sunshine on a chevy commercial , that sample is so catchy . awesome
Never gets old !! Studio 54 ! Rip Andrea you did us proud !!!
Great song and a great performance. Not enough said about her smooth, fluid moves. Love the entire vibe of the video. True classic❤
I've been saying what you said since the late 1980s listening to House Music. The DJs mixed in the old Disco hits and obscure Disco.
I agree
At2:22 how many hear Len ?
This takes me back to the late 70’s when I had just learned to spin the dial on my fathers Sansui receiver. This song was always on the radio back then. It also served as the main sample in the Len song Steal My Sunshine. Which was always on the radio in 1999. I love music.
She had a great voice. Love this song. They sound terrific. Bring back this music. Didnt know she passed away. RIP. .😇🥰👏👏😥
Well you know now
I still love her voice , she'll always be in my heart ❤️ 🔥💃🍷💥🙏🇺🇲
She had heart failure :( for sure something caused it.
I"m a proud 70's child. R. I. P. Andrea. Much Love. ( 1971) to be exact.
❤️ 1970s music Era greatest music era ever
The 1970s disco craze is probably the best era in music history. Just look at the clubs the atmosphere back, then compared to nowadays, no comparison.. disco will live forever, and it does in the form of Dua Lipa, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Lizzo, Kylie, Minogue a lot of today’s music would be considered disco back in the day.
@RayCarpio-zc7uk
This was released in the summer of 1976. You fool.
@@redblade8160I think he is saying he was born in 71
@@patcola7335
If that's the case, then he has a very obscure way of telling us that he was born in 1971. Anyway, he would have been too young to call the 1970s his decade!
I was one of the lucky stars to perform with her on one of her first films.👍
Lucky boy x
You lucky b@:$£^d!!

Bloody hell I'm 36 and this is the first time hearing the verses! Literally only ever heard the chorus in adverts. Also had no idea that this was where Len got the sample for Steal My Sunshine!
Not many did know that this is where Len got the sample for "Steal My Song."
@@ApartmentKing66 Is it still a sample if its the entire song?
I first heard this as a kid on a k-tel 8-track tape my dad bought for me at a store one year on the roadwhile we were on a vacation. I believe I still have this tape.
I grew up on 70's and 80's music. I'm a metalhead by virtue of growing up in these decades. But I love disco music. Was such a great time. Real musicians who could play instruments, sing, and dance. Was a great time to be young.
N my heart you steel ...The catch ...What a beauty ❤
I'll never forget hearing this in the car while on vacation in LA with my parents in '76.
Still love this song & ANDREA . RIP ANDREA
Oh my dear beloved puberty and adolescence 70s, when Kitsch and Disco reigned supreme.
To go back would be a dream
More more more ( of 1976) I like the instrumental break it’s awesome, thanx Andrea TC
yep think sampled many times
No auto tune! No computerized Beats! Real instruments! No fancy effects! Real music!
Who gives a rat's ass. Man I can't even look to see if what I wanna post is already posted without having to wade though stupid shit like this. Who really gives a shit?
@@istankimjong-unbutcantstan3398 Take your meds brain dead .
This was pure Disco fuel back in the day. Andrea True epitomized the entire 70's Disco experience in every way.
A great song in its time and now a TRUE golden oldie!
Still Lovin it in August 2023. ❤❤❤
Andrea males me feel goosebumps! She's a gorgeous woman and love the sensuality she delivers, a great song, a great singer and actress...
thank you Gregg Diamond for sharing so much awesome music with us. In 2024 I'm enjoying it 3 times as much as I enjoyed it when it was released decades ago. "Call Me", "This Side Of Midnight", "Hot Butterfly", "Why Should I Pay", "Love In Motion", "Dance Little Dreamer", "Fess Up To The Boogie", "New York You Got Me Dancing"
Could cry! Where's my life gone? Seems like yesterday when this was out, still a great song, timeless, just love the vid too.
Without any apologies, I LOVE THIS SONG!!
WOW! I have not heard this song,,,,,forever! The start of the Disco revolution! So many
memories of the past! Great to hear it again!
It was great that he succeeded in music, we all have the right to make mistakes in life and correct them, no one can judge you and deny the right to change because of those mistakes.
This song blows my socks off everytime!
This was one of my favorites. Love the disco music!!
