    Perhaps one of my favorite sermons ever. “The only people who will be any earthly good are those that are so heavenly minded that they are free from this world.”

    >WARNING< this comment is from the mind of a non-religous human being
    I feel what John is saying about the "stuff" we have in our lives and how we let it dictate how we act and treat others around us is bang on,and this problem is one we need to overcome.I feel that bringing God and christ into the mix is limiting the true power of his words and that it also hinders his ability to make a change.Though I will say this, he is the first preacher of christ that I felt had anything of value to say

    James 5:13 KJV
    *Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.*
    Matthew 26:41 KJV

      @Smitty-op4ld 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      he was lumped with Paul Washer at once, but he never struggled with faith alone to salvation, of someone prays and GOD ALMIGHTY YESHUA died a miracle is ok to him and he seems like he doesn't have a theological agenda add though he's is born to push Calvinism, he doesn't do that so he began to stand out for his genuineness and passion. I enjoy listening, but I prefer Andres Bisonni because of THE HOLY SPIRIT gives me warmth as though CHRIST YESHUA GOD ALMIGHTY HIMSELF is sending him forth, you see a closer ministry since it's a ministry yielded to THE HOLY GHOST, the best ministry given after CHRIST, the ministry of THE HOLY GHOST.

    I think a little music is good, but it was little louder than needed in this message... Godly music drives away the demons, so it has its places, it can cut the heart, and draw the soul to weep in recognition of their sinfulness, their brokenness.... all in balance, for the Glory of God alone.

    What I am suffering is not the wrath of God but the birhtsufferings a woman has to go through so she will be joyful when she has the baby, so it is suffering, yet it is joyful, because it is such honor to suffer for jesus, one day he will come back and judge the living and the dead. Pray that God may show you what I am trying to explain to you, it is so great it can't be expressed in words

    Gods word says that we are to put off the dead works of sin and sin no more.
    It says if we sin,not when we sin,but if we sin, God is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins.
    Mt 5:48 speaks to us from Jesus,and it says that we are to be perfect just as our Father in heaven is perfect.
    any time we compare our christianity with people,we will live like the scribes and pharisees.
    Jesus said that unless our righteousness exceeds that of them, that we will not enter into heaven.
    pure!

  • @TheTsubaKun
    @TheTsubaKun 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @ZombehWolf Your right. "Christianity", the religion, is built on tradition based, empty Dogmas that prey upon people's weaknesses. That's the difference between Followers of Christ, and Christians. True Disciples follow after Jesus through there weakness and there strength. "Christians" seek on those parts of Faith that make them comfortable, and thus there weakness makes them a target for men who would seek to use that for there benefit.

  • @Benzkopf

    @niinja2 the world hates us because we are not of this world, because god has called us out of it...we are totally different, thats why we suffer. but one day there will be a great judgement and this wicked world will be damned and we will be in glory

  • @b1foschiefs
    @b1foschiefs 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @preacher1171 A preacher knows the needs of his congregation, and hopefully receives his message from God and delivers it by the Holy Spirit. You must eliminate sin in your life before you can do good works. Good works are a wrought by God. Part of being a child of God and taking part of his righteousness is a hatred of sin, God despises sin.

    how exactly do you suffer?

  • @renovatio1988
    @renovatio1988 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @QuestionAThousand Yes Paul may have quoted philosophers of old. But that means nothing. He applies them, like you said, to God the Father which ultimately make them true. But only when applied to ultimate truth (something many don't believe). Secondly there is nothing wrong with philosophy. Paul is very philosophical in his writings at times, namely Romans. Many times it is a very relevant way to communicate with his listeners.

    i don't understand the thing with the music... why don't u let the word of God speak for itself, because if it is the word of the God of the Bible it WILL make an impact into a man's heart - without music, without picture....
    I dnt think it should be promoted as teasers of hollywood movies aiming to impact emotions in humans

  • @childs209
    @childs209 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think this a very interesting point you make, however, I do think that any means of getting across the message of God is good. For instance, the Psalms were created to be played with music- to exult the glorious Name of God. I understand your concern, yet I think we, as a church, would do much better just to have a really deep love for God and just ignore the frills.

    I understand your concern, and I do believe that it can be bad in some cases. But then question: Why even raise the voice volume in a preaching? Why not keep a straight tone, since the word gets out and speaks for itself? Answer is, you raise the voice to emphasize what you're saying. The same thing with music, you emphasize the message. Music impacts our feelings, and that's just the way God created it to be...we do get emotional, it's natural and God created it to be like that.
