"Everybody Knows"-Lisa, Girl Interrupted

This is a scene is from my favorite movie "Girl Interrupted". I had the pleasure of working on this scene in class. This movie means a lot to me because like Susanna, the main character of this movie, I also struggle with Borderline Personality Disorder. I remember always being drawn to movies about mental health and abuse as an adolescent. When I watched "The Bird That Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" for the first time something clicked, but it wasn't until watching the more modern and female version of it (Girl Interrupted) that I really felt seen before even being diagnosed.
I really wanted to explore Lisa's character, since I am all too familiar with playing someone like Susanna. I am someone who feels a lot of guilt when expressing their anger and disgust in the real world, by playing Lisa I really got to explore that sense of ownership of ones darker elements with pride rather than with shame.
This scene like Split, unlocked a part of me that has helped me evolve my branding as an actress.
