I get the under volt, RAM OC but, I am not seeing how you overclocked a locked X3D CPU without overclocking the BLCK and that would lead to PCIe instability. You might get good scores for a minute however, there is no way you can count on it for daily use in that configuration. Also, I think you would get better performance out of 4X8 RAM configuration not only for the dual rank (I know you already have that with 2X16) but, also for the better interleaving behavior of 4 slot configuration. You might not get the same RAM OC with 4 sticks but, the interleaving should give more performance than the RAM OC. A great move I found was to turn Window 11 RAM integrity protection off. Its on by default in Win 11 but, not in Win 10. I lived without it until 11 so I will risk it. It actually gives a decent boost of 10-12% and frees up about 2GB of RAM space. Good video:)
First of all thanks a lot for the support and this is the kind of technical comment I like! I overclocked the CPU simply by acting on the PBO. I don’t touch BCLK as that will indeed lead to instability. You may get 102-103 stable though but I don’t recommend it. I then got the FCLK to match RAM speed 1:1. For RAM, I really find 2x16 works best for me on AM4. 4 slots give me 0 improvement as far as my tests go. Definitely turn off memory integrity and core isolation for more performance :))
@@ImWateringPSUs You are very welcome. My OC board (MSI MEG Unify B550) has the PBO option on the desktop software that says its enabled when i use it but, nothing changes. The Kombo Strike level 3 for X3D parts does gives very modest gains but, I get the same with curve optimizer -30. I have done some RAM test comparing slower 4X8 dual rank configurations to faster single rank 2X8 and they equal out almost perfectly with each giving the same small gain. There are some small gains in a 4X8 fast dual rank configuration in some games but, its nowhere near worth spending more money on faster RAM for basically the same experience. It does! I build at least 2 PCs with each card every month, I test them all out :) Ofc we’re talking a RTX 3070 after putting new thermal paste on it and cleaning it.
@@ImWateringPSUs I guess it all depends on what you consider "out performing." I've seen all the YT comparison videos and personally, I don't consider 3 fps in _some_ games out performing. The 4060Ti also runs _much_ cooler, quieter, and consumes far less power... which should also be considered when talking performance.
I understand that difference currency/markets play a big role in it, I try to make content targeted at the european market mostly, which translates pretty much 1:1 to US, Canada and AUS as well. But unfortunately it's not the same everywhere. I'll try to make a worldwide budget PC if you think it may be interesting!

Of course we’re towards the end of Q3 and new releases are around the corner. But hey, if you’re buying a 5700X3D and get a decent deal on a GPU, you can’t go wrong. Case, PSU, AIO, RAM, SSD prices are not gonna come down :)
which issues are u encountering with i9 14thgen?
Soo, the 14th gen itself for me is the one with the least problems. Especially the 14900KS I’ve never encountered one with defects yet. But I’ve seen a lot of 13th gen CPUs with issues, mostly crashes to be honest. Everybody is talking about it unfortunately. But by setting the BIOS correctly you can mitigate most of them :)
RIPJAW 16 x2 ram is on sale Amazon $74
Lol, for 1140£ which is only measly 140£ more than a 1000£, you can get Ryzen 5 7600x paired with RX 7700 XT OC with fully modular Corsair 750e in mini itx case of around 8L and take it anywhere with you. That’s a waste of a 1000 your build
1140 pounds is 1466 dollars for a build that would (slightly) be graphically more capable than the one I did, while unfortunately being left behind in CPU intensive games that use 3D V-Cache. I really like mini ITX cases but they generally lose value wise :)
@@ImWateringPSUs i love mini atx as I travel a lot plus just 140£ extra makes more sense to me future wise on am5 etc etc
YES
i had a really bad experience with Endorfy, tons of minor annoyances with their ventum 200 air aside, i've had one of the USB ports' pins bend after a couple months of use and worst of all the headphone jack cuts off at times, spent a month thinking it was a software issue until i ruled it out
I use Endorfy/ SilentiumPC in my builds for customers and had 0 problems. Pins don’t bend by themselves, you just did something 😂
@@mortar1964 literally nothing, 20 years of inserting USBs and never had this happen, the pins on the remaining port seems to be raised up instead of flat like i found in most other USB ports
It's nice to hear some negative feedback too. If it's not just bad luck, I've heard they changed a lot with their latest lineup of products though, so it maybe be worth another shot!
i paid 250euro for used 5800x,b450 tuf gaming plus 2 and ddr4 32 gb,is that price good deal?
That's actually really solid! Not a steal but right around what you wanna pay for a combo like that even if you're a PC flipper
got the cpu from ali express new for £100
not in canada we get ripped beyond ripped off here
For the 5700X3D too check worldwide shipping websites, they should help out a little if local availability is not ideal
@@ImWateringPSUs thanks mate. Alrady bought the non 3d verssion of the chip still works really well.
A 3070 _does not_ out perform a 4060Ti.
150 bux u say ...that one over here will cost me 8 months of savings...cheap for u chapz lol ..
It’s cheap bro 💀 For case like that it’s very decent price.
5700x3d is a banger, 4060ti is a shame. I really hoped to see 3080ti there 🤠
Man I really wish I could've put a 3080 Ti in it, the PSU would've handled it like a breeze and it would have actually been the perfect match. But I wanted to keep it all-brand new, as a lot of people say that I get "too good" deals under my used budget builds. I may do another iteration of it, though :)
Rx 6750xt better
Weeell it’s a few generations back and a bit more demanding thermally. Brand new I’d rather get the 4060 in the vid, but if we’re talking used components then I’d definitely get an used RX 6700 XT, I’ve recently re-reviewed it on the channel!
Nobody should be buying AM4 on a new build. It’s at end of life. If you’re already have a AM4 rig, then yeah.
5700X3D definitely is great as an upgrade, but really on the lower end you can get SO MUCH value on a 5700X3D by compromising a bit on the upgrade path. And you can still match up to a 4080 with it easily :))
For a 10% différence, you can make a cheaper really good pc that will last you 6 years+, by that time am5 will be talked about as "a dead platform"
Under 1000 is crazy? lol what
Oh polish brand :)
But of course made in china hehe
Unfortunately pretty much everything nowadays is! But where it’s designed it’s also important and I appreciate my polish friends a lot:)
4k gaming 1k wont cut it 1080p sure
True true, even though with DLSS you technically could play at 4K too! But yeah, the cool thing is that even for 1080p 240hz and very high refresh rate in general, you don’t need to spend a lot anymore!
