James B It really is. And to think - music like this was composed to be performed during a typical mass. If it was still done like this today, not only would you have a far more cohesive and concise order of mass, but you’d also have the very valuable “wow” factor to engage congregants and to make them contemplate just what we’re all doing here.
I agree that this mozart's piece is better, but I will never say a worship song a "shit". Modern worship songs are STILL a worship to God. Pax christi.
We are going to show this in our church tomorrow and I will do the solo parts for soprano. Until now I've been trying to improve my voice by watching and listening to this wonderful soprano singer and it helped me a lot! Greetings from Germany!
Elisa Cîmpean It was phenomenal indeed. Except for the fact that the audience was lukewarm at the end for some reason. Could it be because this was in Poland? Do you have any reasons to why the audience was extremely lukewarm and tepid, Elisa?
MrJon92as I have no idea, at some places people just can't show as much euphoria as in other cities/countries. Believe me, I often asked myself the same, because the applause here in our city is also mostly "lukewarm" - which is very annoying. D-:
Anyways, in my opinion it was a great performance. :)
Elisa Cîmpean Like I said, this was in Poland, and I believe it's the norm for Polish audiences to be this way. And you are correct that audiences are typically this way in Germany as well. Most of Europe in general actually. I'm from the United States, and generally, audiences are more responsive out here, but there are occasional cases where the audiences are lukewarm out here even.
