We typically do not recommend the tubes to be driven over directly. A cushion layer (with graded rock /gravel) should be made before the tubes are driven over with heavy equipment. A non-woven geotextile protection layer should be placed between the cushion layer and tubes to protect the tubes from the sharp edges of the rocks.
