I know you might not see this, but I had a family member simular to how the mom is. In my case, my dad. My dad would pretty much act just like the mother in the video. Every time my mom brings something for me, he (my father) would genuinely get mad at my mom and she was quote on quote obligated to bring something for my older sister. While my older sister's mom is across the country and never doing anything for her nor coming to see her. We relied on food stamps, social security, and disability checks from me and my sister. but my mom paid child support. But, my dad would never spend a dime on me and my sister most of the time. When we needed our hair done, clothes or a little bit of food to survive until the 3rd of every month, he goes out his way to get his hair done, buys himself German cars (He used to have a Mercedes-Benz, now he has a 2016 BMW) and immediately gets them fixed and never really buys anything for my sister and I. I understand times are tough, but considering "times are tough" we shouldn't be buying foreign cars especially in a position where we cant afford things. He became so selfish to the point that we cant even pay for wifi (despite me going out my way to make wifi cheap, for unlimited wifi for $40) when its the cheapest. We can't even afford basic necessities anymore because he keeps cheaping out of everything. Then hes making excuses that our rent is becoming more expensive. It may be true but we live(d) in a complex where the rent was based on your income and after some resesrch it (rent) doesn't increase or decrease as long as you keep making that consistent income. So, he would cheap out of everything. Couldn't get our hair done so we had to go to school in buns, didn't have basic necessities and it was impossible to get homework done because everything was set online at the time due to covid. Yet, as soon he needs something personal done, he gets it done immediately. I feel bad for the dad in this video, I hope all is okay with him and his son. No one should go through with this at all and it's unfair. Yeah, I can see the mom's point a tiny bit but at the same time. I'm in full agreement, however if I remember right, the courts once, not that long back, made a man continue paying child support following a divorce despite it coming to light that the kids his ex wife had weren't his.

I grew up with 3 other siblings, between three different fathers. But I watch as their fathers gave them toys and stuff like this. What you said would work. If it were me, I would ask if it is okay to do this couple times a month and I'll send some money over to him to grab food for the other kids so we can share a family meal together. Her expectations are unreasonable and there are other ways to ensure that the rest of the siblings feel included. I'm just thinking from her children's perspective. Imagine if you all had different fathers, and one of your siblings had an active father who cares about them, and you don't. It would hurt. My dad would pretty much act just like the mother in the video. Every time my mom brings something for me, he (my father) would genuinely get mad at my mom and she was quote on quote obligated to bring something for my older sister. While my older sister's mom is across the country and never doing anything for her nor coming to see her.
We relied on food stamps, social security, and disability checks from me and my sister. but my mom paid child support. But, my dad would never spend a dime on me and my sister most of the time. When we needed our hair done, clothes or a little bit of food to survive until the 3rd of every month, he goes out his way to get his hair done, buys himself German cars (He used to have a Mercedes-Benz, now he has a 2016 BMW) and immediately gets them fixed and never really buys anything for my sister and I.
I understand times are tough, but considering "times are tough" we shouldn't be buying foreign cars especially in a position where we cant afford things.
He became so selfish to the point that we cant even pay for wifi (despite me going out my way to make wifi cheap, for unlimited wifi for $40) when its the cheapest. We can't even afford basic necessities anymore because he keeps cheaping out of everything. Then hes making excuses that our rent is becoming more expensive. It may be true but we live(d) in a complex where the rent was based on your income and after some resesrch it (rent) doesn't increase or decrease as long as you keep making that consistent income.
So, he would cheap out of everything. Couldn't get our hair done so we had to go to school in buns, didn't have basic necessities and it was impossible to get homework done because everything was set online at the time due to covid. Yet, as soon he needs something personal done, he gets it done immediately.
I feel bad for the dad in this video, I hope all is okay with him and his son. No one should go through with this at all and it's unfair.

@@The_Phoenix_Saga now that is probably because he’s name was on the birth certificate as the courts do that sometimes. However they obviously it seems like they weren’t married they were just in a relationship so the courts can’t really force him to take care of kids that isn’t his.
In cases like this, given how irresponsible she is, the father should have sole-custody of his own son. Sadly, I don't know if the courts can grant such a thing to the dude.

What you said would work. If it were me, I would ask if it is okay to do this couple times a month and I'll send some money over to him to grab food for the other kids so we can share a family meal together. Her expectations are unreasonable and there are other ways to ensure that the rest of the siblings feel included. I'm just thinking from her children's perspective. Imagine if you all had different fathers, and one of your siblings had an active father who cares about them, and you don't. It would hurt. Yes, the mother should have been more responsible, but that is the reality of these children. It's great that the father is involved, and I would want that relationship to continue. As someone who is the eldest of 4 kids, all with different fathers, It’s shocking for the mother to not take care nor feed her kids. My mom will do anything to make sure we are fed.
