Dear God, today we put on the full armor to guard our lives against attack. We put on the belt of truth to protect against lies and deception. We put on the breastplate of righteousness to protect our hearts from the temptations we battle. We put the gospel of peace on our feet, so we’re ready to take your light wherever you send us this day. We choose to walk in the peace and freedom of your Spirit and not be overcome with fear and anxious thoughts. We take up your shield of faith that will extinguish all the darts and threats hurled our way by the enemy. We believe in your power to protect us and choose to trust in you. We put on the helmet of salvation, which covers our minds and thoughts, reminding us we are children of the day, forgiven, set free, saved by the grace of Christ Jesus. We take up the sword of the Spirit, your very Word, the one offensive weapon given to us for battle, which has the power to demolish strongholds, alive, active, and sharper than any double-edged sword. We ask for your help in remembering to put on your full armor every day, for you give us all that we need to stand firm in this world. Forgive us God for the times we’ve been unprepared, too busy to care, or trying to fight and wrestle in our own strength. Thank you that we never fight alone, for you are constantly at work on our behalf, shielding, protecting, strengthening, exposing deeds of darkness, bringing to light what needs to be known, covering us from the cruel attacks we face even when we’re unaware. Billy Graham was a great orator, but sadly, he didn't teach, preach nor keep God's Holy 7th day Sabbath Command. Jesus was crystal clear on this (and all) Command in Matt 5:19 and Luke 16:17. *Happy Sabbath!!!* i pray church tomorrow morning is a blessing for all who know God, love Christ and walk in Truth!
Which day is the sabbath? To the Jewish people it is from Friday evening until Saturday evening, to the Christians it is Sunday, the sabbath is established under the law, so is tithing, and water baptism, yet Christians are not under the law, but under His Grace. So when is the ssbbath?
@@Martin-b7k actually not correct, Martin. the Sabbath was established at Creation - Genesis 2:2-3, and there were no jews then - not until another 2,000 years, under Abraham. the Sabbath is part of God's original Ten Commandments. you wrote: _'...yet Christians are not under the law...'_ - question - does that mean we keep/follow the law - or don't follow It?
@@tony1685 it is impossible for any man to keep or observe all of the law, and by failing to keep one we are guilty of all of them, therefore we are under the grace of God through Christ, and not under the commandments of the law. We fail to meet God's standards through the law, but through the grace given through Christ, the requirements of the law are met, therefore we have to believe in the grace that comes through Christ that the requirements of the law ended with the grace offered through Christ. Secondly, the commandment for the sabbath was so that man did not get to busy working out his life and forget to honor and glorify God. However a true Christian has the spirit of Christ dwelling within them each and every day, therefore everyday they are praying to God, everyday they are walking the lifestyle that glorifies God, pleasing God in every manner, so then which day is the sabbath if you remember, and honor and glorify God everyday?
I miss Billy Graham. Andrew Murray is an awesome teacher. I listen to his videos along with Billy Graham and grateful we can still hear them!
