KanCer08 if 2000 - 2009 I'd say this is 2nd behind 03 Cadets. But if u add 2010 part of that decade .. I'd take 2010 Phantom over 08. But that's just me. 10 just blew other lines away.
@IamAlex13 Yeah, I was gonna put 01, 03 cadets, 08 phantom, probably Crown 09. Some of the other phantom years (03, 04, 06) would probably fight with the rest of the cadets glory years (00, 05) to round out my top 5... This also has a slight advantage IMO when fighting against the others mentioned (01, 03 cadets, crown 09), because this drumline was the sole reason they won the championship that night... they beat BD by almost 7 tenths in drums on finals night to beat them overall by 0.025
Dude this shit is sooo fuckin intense!!!! HOOLLYY SHITT!!!!! i loved this fucking show, my favorite... besides '89 vanguard. and maybe '09 bluecoats Imagine. haha okay this is my third fav. its fucking amazing!!!!
While the show wasn't as exciting as some of their others it still had its moments. And I still consider Phantom to have one of the most gorgeous sounds in all of DCI, I'd rather listen to them over BD anyday. But yes i will agree, they have a sick line, even if it did take them until '06 to win top drums.
@cadet345 That was a little harsh on my part haha. This is definitely top 5. I'm a snare player so maybe I'm biased but I loved the early 2000's Cadets drumlines and I think the 2006 PR drumline is my favorite of the decade. I also have a soft spot in my heart for the 2001 Glassmen line because the snares that year were so awesome.
Truly one of the best written battery books of all time, Paul Rennick is a BOSS.
six years later and I still say this is Paul's best work. Holy shit man. I don't even need the horns to get chills.
@@safersephiroth943 this one and 2010 are by far his masterpieces
2008 PR drumline auditions: “who are the 5 fastest pairs of hands? OK- you’re gonna play bass drum.”
hey! would i be able to use part of this video to make a “learn the music” type video with snare music?
@@johnmillerjr- do it
@@cmcnosky hell yeah, you rock!
I like the buzz saw in the background during the ballad.
best drumline of the decade.

i just transcribed this by ear. i put masking tape over everything by the snare stave. then tacked it to the wall and threw pant at it.
3 40 is a sick part with the low brass
@zedxleppelin thats actually at "3rd"

Phantom's battery carries their whole corps. What, they got top drums 2010, but like 8th place as a corp? So sad....
@zedxleppelin it was 6th place, give them a little credit. plus, that show was beautiful, regardless of the placement.
@KanCer08 sorry, no.
HELL YEAH BASSES!!!
Go Zeke on #5 bass
