@@zanastumasonis i am getting an “abc visit workshop” saying that the supply pressure is low, although it is good looking at the actual values. I have read that this can happen because of an accumulator that supplies pressure to the struts when they need it so that the pump doesnt have to and i was wandering if this was the one they are talking about. Thanks for the reply
@@zanastumasonis its an sl500. I get an abc visit workshop message when i start the car and drive at low speeds for a few seconds. If i accelerate and reach higher speeds quickly, the message will not appear until i slow down. The diagnostic says that there is a low pressure supply. The car raises and lowers as expected
FYI - this particular part is actually called a pulsation damper. Accumulators are bigger size and are attached to the valve block assemblies. This part does exactly what it's called - it dampens the pulsations (3,000 PSI) of the ABC pump. It makes a whinning noise you can feel inside the car when it goes out. ABC warnings when driving or going over bumps is a sign of bad accumulators not pulsation damper. You can also use a 27mm or 28mm wrench to hold the valve body from the wheel well, if you have weak hands like I do.

What were the symptoms of this bad accumulator?
This one specifically? Noise, noise when pushing the button to raise/lift the car, vibration inside the car

Is it was whining when driving?
I can’t recall totally, I think it whined a little when trying to raise the suspension, and it would raise slowly
My car is whining when I drive. Mechanic says I need a new tandem pump
But how many kms you can drive with that
with a bad dampener? probably for a while but its best to not stress the hydraulic system with pressure fluctuations
