    Pop's here. Your trowel sure does a better job than the old dowel rod you used in the past. I still would love to see all these bottles cleaned up, and where the came from. An entire video of just that.

      @@BelowthePlains he said what I was going to. I know where there's a lot of old bottles from the 1890's to the 1930's buried but they're not in their original locations as the original sites were dug out. 1 to put in a new road and the other to redo a road that kept failing because it was paved over topsoil instead of gravel. The one from the new road is an area about 300' x 100' and about 7' deep and I don't think a person could dig even 1' without hitting bottles or other items. I not only ran out of room for any more bottles but have since had back surgery and can no longer do it.

      Just stumbled upon your videos and have been binge watching for hours! I agree with what the other person here said regarding your displaying the finds on the screen while you are digging them up. I really like and appreciate that as well! Great feature to the videos. Just curious if you get to keep all of the things you dig up or are they returned to the owners of the properties that you dig on? Love your videos because I absolutely love old stuff and history! Fantastic job!

      They still do dig them by hand in alot of countries, but not here,thank goodness

      @@mikewinings4120 even here there are still some cemeteries that graves are still dug by hand, but it is a very small percentage of cemeteries.

    Tom how you find these privies is just amazing. The snuff jar and chamber pot was so awesome to find them intact. Loved the crystal glass and glass lantern. Of course the bitters and blob tops were outstanding. 👏👍

    My Favorite must be the Hutch and for sure the Chamber Pot and Lid - wow - fully intact !!!! Brilliant old Bottles and that Ceramic Door Knob is very Cool ! You sounded very Happy with the Dig - well done and Cheers from Australia !!!!

    I'm amazed how many bottles are still in one piece. If this was in Australia it would be one intact bottle for every 30 broken bottles.

    Okay they threw the door knob down the pit when they moved the privy and needed a new one to specify it was new. lol How funny, amazing what they threw in the pit and how much actually does survive not being broken. Happy digging and have a great day

      yeah this is probably one of my personal favorite videos we've made so far! that first hutch is really good. and there were some other cool finds in there. wish that had been a little bit more, but that hutch was the whole reason i was in that town in the first place, so im just happy i actually found one. thanks for watching

    woo"" you found a few nice ones in this pit , I would have loved to been over that dirt with my detector , gotta be a few coins lost in it . And the Chamber pot, must had a real nasty blow out in it and they just could not bring themselves to clean it out , seeing it was easier to buy another than engage themselves in an smelly and unclean pursuit of cleaning out its vile and unwholesome contents. One mans blow out is another future mans treasure
