Psalm 100 (1st Version) Lyrics
1 All people that on earth do dwell,
Sing to the Lord with cheerful voice.
2 Him serve with mirth, his praise forth tell,
Come ye before him and rejoice.
3 Know that the Lord is God indeed;
Without our aid he did us make:
We are his flock, he doth us feed,
And for his sheep he doth us take.
4 O enter then his gates with praise,
Approach with joy his courts unto:
Praise, laud, and bless his name always,
For it is seemly so to do.
5 For why? the Lord our God is good,
His mercy is for ever sure;
His truth at all times firmly stood,
And shall from age to age endure. - เพลง
“Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.” Psalm 95:2 KJV
Indeed.
'As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, ''till he shows us His mercy'' '
Scottish Psalm singing has got to be one of the most heavenly sounds in all the earth. I am very thankful to have discovered Psalm singing as a Christian. What a blessing in my personal devotions it is to sing these inspired songs!
Completely agreed! Thank you for the wonderful comment!
When my mother lay dying (far too young) in the 1980s, she sat up in bed a sang this is a firm voice. "Sing to the Lord with cheerful voice" meant so much to me passing through the valley of tears. We chose this for her funeral.
Thank you so much for sharing this testimony. How good our Lord is to give us such comfort in the valley of the shadow of death.
These metered Psalms are a balm to my soul out here in the Evangelical desert.
Yes, nothing comforts like the Psalms. Thank you for sharing, and take heart, the Lord is building His church, even in these times which seem so dark to us.
This brings it together for me: people worshiping God and it's Scottish, so stoic so warm and beautiful.
Oh, yes! Completely agree! Thank you for commenting, and God bless!

O blessed, holy and most merciful life-giving Trinity;
Glory to Thee, giving us light; Glory to Thee, loving us with love so deep, divine and infinite; Glory to Thee, blessing us with light, and with the host of angels and saints; Glory to Thee, Father all-holy, promising us a share in Thy Kingdom;
Glory to Thee, Redeemer Son, who hast shown us the path to salvation; Glory to Thee, Holy Spirit, life-giving Sun of the world to come; Glory to Thee for all things, Holy and most merciful Trinity; Glory to Thee, O God, from age to age;
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost;
Now and forever and unto the ages of ages;

The real "1st version" was written by Louis Bourgeois in 1551.
Where can someone get the musical setting for these beautiful hymns?
Thank you for your kind inquiry! The psalms are intended to be sung a cappella, therefore no prerecorded background music is available for them, so far as we are aware. However, the musical notation is available in the split-leaf psalter, which can be purchased at: www.grangepress.com/product/the-1650-scottish-metrical-psalter-split-leaf/.
@@westminstercovenanter912 Thank you so much! It has been very difficult to find the sheet music for the four part vocal harmonies!
@@lazaruscomeforth7646 You are so welcome! God bless!
What is the tune? I know it is in Long Meter. Old 100th?
Yes, the tune is Old 100th. Thanks for your inquiry! God bless!
If you desire sing the psalms in Spanish, you can find it as "Los Salmos en Rima Española" by Rev. Jorge Ruiz Ortiz, Iglesia Reformada Continuada (@ReformadaContinuada). God bless you.
