"...think before you sing." You taught me so many things in such a short time. I have begun my morning here with you, your singing and teaching and my coffee! Thank you, again. These lessons are wonderful.
Thank you, Elly Ameling, you taught me how to sing without knowing me.....I played your recordings over and over again in my childhood!🌷And later I had the privilege of making your acquaintance💫
The Ameling/Demus recording is of otherworldly beauty. I’ve listened to nearly every recording of Liederkreis, but this one stands out as the most poetic by far. The slow tempo is haunting-exactly as it should be-and only masters like Ameling and Demus could sustain that intensity. It’s an extraordinary privilege to have Madame Ameling, decades after the recording, sharing her insights on this piece.

MAESTRA! 🥰
Schumann was such a genius!! I love him almost as much as Brahms. Thanks for a wonderful lesson.
Gold amidst the dross of the internet!
Who is the artist you mentioned can do anything here?
Obviously, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. Schwarzkopf once said, 'He is God. He can do anything.'
