There's a woman in my neighborhood that beats her husband to the extent of stripping him naked. And when she quarrels with her neighbors, they start by insulting the husband indirectly by saying "I will no be your husband wey you the beat o, I go scatter you". I've also seen a woman that insults her husband in front of her kids and neighbors. No regard for the man especially when he's not financially buoyant. This bruises the ego of a man and makes them resort to cheating and getting drunk. In a nutshell, both men and women experience domestic violence and abuse. Be wise to let go especially in a relationship when you see the signs. don't think prayers will change him when he gets married to you o.

Even when a partner you’re in a relationship with show signs of being overly possessive or overly obsessed with you, it is equally a sign you should think about and take a critical decision. Some people mostly women when they see or feel this, think it’s nice and that the men are all over them but hey! This is equally dangerous and can cause you your life. You are quite right because a certain girl child in std 2( grade ??) was sexually abused by her biological father, and the mother knew about it and kept quiet, till the child was noticed by her teacher that she was not walking properly and reported that to the police. Guess what, the wife bailed him out as she said that man was responsible for keeping the fire burning at home e.g.buying a bag of mealie meal.
Abuse is an abuse. You can be independent woman and still get abused. It has nothing to do with having your money. Abusers are manipulaters . He beat you and tomorrow he brings you chocolates and flowers and you'll be like 'he's remorseful and loves me".So it's a circle. You need to your man upbringing, his parents and you'll get your answers.
